I think it's the raspiness of cartman's voice. AI buggs out on certain notes but when it's Eric, we just hear it as his normal voice.

Its mostly due to cartman having a lot of whiney, angry, yelling moments which makes his vocal range easier to manipulate
All those pop songs and that boy band really paid off for Cartman's singing.
The good ending where Cartman goes after and has a very successful music career from vocaloid.
I dont know what's more bizarre. The fact that the ai is genuinely pretty hard to recognise or the fact that im genuinely thinking that an Eric Cartman cover is unironically something im gonna listen to

This is a great AI cover, but I hope you're joking,
As you're insane if you think this is more fitting or such than the OG English cover,
The English Cover is phenomanal, and this is a fantastic AI version of a goofy character choice that fully takes advantage of the amount of audio we have of Trey Parker singing, but this not at all somehow objectively better or more fitting than the OG Cover.
Cartman is not at all fitting to the song and it's lyrics, he's a character meant to be thr most abhorrent crude character around, being actively malicious and vile, and everything not to aspire to be, aside from very select rare exceptions. Not exactly a sympathetic character aiming for genuine heartfelt emotion.
The OG Cover has phenomal translation, lyrics, vocal preformance, and editing.
I enjoy covers such as this greatly alongside the OG Cover, but what you are saying here is a massive diservice to the guy who made the OG Cover and his adaptation,
This video wouldn't exist without him, and it's one of the best translated covers I have ever heard in my life.

Original English cover is great don't get me wrong, I just enjoy that genre friend. I totally agree with you on the translation and vocal performance part, it really just is a matter of taste. I don't care that it's this character in particular, if Charles Manson had a cover that moved me in a particular way I would enjoy it just as much (which he does, Charles Manson- invisible Tears)
