You know what is amazing to me AMC9L, is when these kids do cash day races at the track, they allow them to stand around like that......I can't tell you over the decades I've been racing how many times during a burnout my car, without a warning, hooked to the left/right, usually due to someone not backing you into the water box properly, and popping that clutch and out of control instantly, and (not me) but a axle snaps, no c-clip eliminators, blown engine parts,...on and on....just plain dangerous. Anywho, amazing what these street cars can do....thanks brother.
@@AutoMotoCha9L Got the dust knocked off the old Dodge and ready for the shows? We spent a lot of time getting the old Ford ready......had the Spring Fling a couple of weeks ago, but it was just still to chilly for me. We have the First Fridays each month downtown and a lot of small shows coming up. Need some track time too 😄
@@mrshifter8220 I've commented the same to folks online that host street races with a guy standing there starting the race with a flashlight or arm drop telling them to buy a cheap starter tree.......it only takes one time to have a very bad day ☹
@@cjbecker1683 The street racing today is totally different than when we were doing it back in the late 60s and 70s...the HP these guys are running is stupid crazy for the street and you are soooooo right, it would make for a real bad day.
All it takes is for one idiot to get injured when a burnout goes wrong....and don't get me started on the fool that jumped the retaing barrier just so he could finish filming...
I don’t get why the crowd is on the track.90% of them don’t even have a car to race but would be the first to sue if they got hurt.If this track was sanctioned by NHRA most those cars couldn’t even race their.Very Getto track.

I hear you! This is not my style of drag race I usually go to. It was something new to me
