I can’t say how much I appreciate this. Robert koops, aka Sean heyden, is my late uncle. I wear a bracelet every day that my mom, his sister, and my grandma had made after his passing. He is the my favorite out of my aunts and uncles. And to see him in video format moving, is means the whole world to me. He passed before I was born, but he still rocks out everyday to me. Thank you so much. - Hunter ROBERT Brass
Hunter... I remember hearing this song on a DJ tape at Keys Bar in Cleveland Ohio. EVERY Sunday in 1985. This was a song I never forgot. Its so great to see this live performance! Crazier yet...I teach figure skating & one of my students (also named Sean) looks just like Sean Heyden. So sad that he didnt make it to 1996 when everything changed. He would be hear today. And just learned Sean and I have the same birthday 7 11.
Your uncle changed my life. This great song sang to me in ways I never knew was possible. Signed A Hard Core Party/Pretty Boy who thought he knew everything! LOL. Great Times.
@hunter Brass I remember this being a very sought after import played in all the cool places. We were all party boys back then so a lot of us identified with this song. What an awesome voice. its so cool that you are so interested in your uncle and carrying on his legacy. Your Mom must have been so proud of her brother. Thank you so much for being a part of this thread. It is so appreciated. Anything else you can tell us about your uncle like where he grew up or how the record deal came about? Did your mom go with him when he performed ever? Thank you in advance, just can't find a bio for him.
This song was on my favourite mix tape in the 80s. I was happily surprised to see a performance of it here and I am sad to read he has passed. Great song !!
Came here today because I was cataloging my life long music library and wanted a new download of Party Boy. Who owns the rights to the song> Impossible to find on any platform. I have a download on a old IPOD and will never give it up. Don't remember where I got it from. This is so my coming out song. It had been remixed back in the late 80's as a high energy anthem an played at about midnight every weekend at the dance Bars to get everyone fired up to last another 2 or 4 hours if you know what I mean. Such a great party and fist pumping, hands in the air song and says so much. I hadn't realized it was released in 1984 much less a video.
Hey there! My mom and I really loved your heartfelt comment about my uncle. His spirit lives on. They say “people die twice. Once when they take their last breath and when their name is last spoken on earth.” Thanks for keeping him alive. As for the rights to the song. It was published under phonogram inc. which was renamed mercury records UK. They were bought by universal records in 1998. In 2013 their artist roster was moved to Virgin EMI. Im currently trying to track down where the right are currently and if they still have him in their database (going to be a lot of calls).
I see you - oh, I feel a danger I'm searching, you're my perfect stranger I give you love tonight - champagne and candlelight Black limousine and no wheel white Just another party boy One more down in line I thought I knew everything - You showed me this town Just another party boy Just a game that you enjoy How can love be so unkind? (How can love be... (x3) How can love be so unkind?) You told me, 'come on, let's get closer' Now I see you would never stay And when I turned around It all went crashing down My perfect stranger walked away - Repeat chorus - And when I turned around It all went crashing down My perfect stranger walked away - Repeat chorus -

I remember him from the mid 80s in Hamburg, Germany...he was friends with the owners of a record store I worked at.

Never seen this before. Thanks for sharing, even though I'm a year+ late finding it...
