It was my brothers song. You would have loved him as a person. Absolutely the life of the party. He made me laugh y til my stomach hurt! I haven’t laughed like that in 30 years. He passed from aids 2 weeks before the cocktail came out. Likey mom said he was a gift from God for 33 yrs and lived more in his short life then most. It makes me so happy to see posts till this day. I love you so much brother. See you someday❤
@@denisebrass7562 @brassboyz1 left a comment a while back mentioning that he knew other songs performed by Robert. I would very much like to hear anything else he might have performed. Thanks, Migs.
Would you be able to sell me a copy of the original and / or remix? I’ve been looking for this song forever. Lights my soul up being able to hear it again! His voice…🥰
@@kimberleymulder8769 Hi. Let me do some digging. Right now I can only locate one of the Razormaid copies. I know I've got the other and original....somewhere! I'd be more than happy to send you one or the other when I locate them. Not sure if one is allowed to send email addresses here, (so I won't right now) :) But you can find me on FB...using my name if you'd like to look me up that way!
I would really appreciate it!! I tried FaceBook…there’s over 80 Doug Barnes lol. Perhaps we can narrow it down by country or state if in the USA? Or you can try searching me by name? I’m in Alberta, Canada.
@@kimberleymulder8769 Oh My...80! WoW. I'm in Illinois. My pic has me, standing in front of turntables, with rainbow circle around pic. Hope that helps :) !!
Such an awesome tune and a *crime* that it is virtually unknown.. and even sadder that Sean died in 1994. He was better than Billy Idol, with just this one song. What i can't figure out is why I've never heard any other songs of his??? Surely there were more???
Hey, I am the nephew of Robert Koops, aka Sean Heyden. My mom, his sister, has told me all of the stories and showed me all of his music. I wear a bracelet every day with his name on it that used to be my mother’s with the HIV ribbon on it for him. Over the next few months I’m going to go through my mothers things and try to pull some of his other songs out of the shadows. I love him so much.
@@BrassBoyz1 do u have the names of his other songs. I played party boy as dj 1st song of every set in night club in philly and at our college radio station
If you know this tune well, then you’ve lived.
i know it well

@denisebrass7562 I have only ever heard good things about him. I’m just sorry that I never had a chance to meet him.

When I heard this song come on in the dance clubs I felt my soul rev up, and I ran for the dance floor. So sad he died so young.
Massive hit for us in Houston...especially this Razormaid remix! Still have a couple copies and original 12".❤❤❤❤

I couldn't agree more! This should have been a smash hit all over the world! Another great example of the unbeatable 80's music.

@@BrassBoyz1For years, I played this song for my exercise class at Bally's. I didn't realize those 80s club songs were so unknown nationally.
