What's up I'm RedFalcon and right now I'm playing Mario Party Superstars for the Nintendo Switch. I might play minigames against the Master CPUs, I might play boards against characters like Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Rosalina, Birdo, Wario, Waluigi and more?! F-Zero on the N64DD has a track maker, so it’s surely something Nintendo’s familiar with. That’d be a cool thing to add in Mario Kart 9.

If Mario Kart Maker ever becomes a reality, here are the different kinds of tracks we’ll see:
- The well-developed tracks. Fun to play, good pacing, makes for genuinely exciting races.
- The Little Timmy tracks. Loads of boost pads, goombas, ramps facing every-which-way, chain chomps, hopping Music Notes, thwomps, and anything else that moves.
- The Straight Line tracks. Who needs turns anyway?
- The smallest circle tracks in the History of Ever. Utter chaos is an understatement for how these would play out.
- Mario Circuit/Iconic Track remakes. Similar to 1-1 Remakes in Super Mario Maker 2 (and SMM1).

We seriously need a track builder mode in Mario Kart 9.
Triangle actually has some great game design. You have to make the choice to take a faster route by skipping items, or pick up an item at the cost of taking a slower turn. This is the kind of decision-making that the player is met with on the official tracks in Mario kart.

Some times the best designs are simple... better to do things well while keeping it simple then over complicate things while doing it poorly... its also easier to do things great while keeping it simple

People are talking about giving Circle antigrav, but I think the risk/reward aspect of getting as close to the center as possible to go faster is really neat.

I don't know why you're surprised either by how fun they were. I mean, Baby Park was awesome and it's literally just an oval! I have an idea, though. Make the square track narrower and a much longer track (have the track itself be the railroad tracks from Kalimari Desert but with no train) and give it huge concreate walls on the left and on the right is a fall into water. You're inside of a reservoir for this track. But here's the twist. Water keeps filling up and you have to complete all three laps before the water level rises too high to continue racing in or you get a Game Over. And have the music be the "tick tock tick tock" music from Donkey Kong 64 when the guy says "welcome to bonus stage". Maybe call it DK Reservoir.

With the tracks being shaped like a square, circle, and triangle, I was somehow expecting the 4th track to be a cross, but I guess that was a little too hard to implement.

Aside from Lines, I genuinely would think these would make for interesting Time Trial tracks, especially Circle.
Would you grab coins or just try to stay in the center for as long as possible? Do you hold a drift for mini-turbos or do “straight” lines save time? And if you do use MTs, would you want to hold short ones or longer ones?
