As always your work with oils makes a huge difference Steve, excellent outcome! Looking forward to see what you'll tackle next. Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend!
Hi Any. I hope you are well and that your Christmas preparations are going well. Many thanks for stopping by and commenting. Take care my friend and speak soon
Another inspiring video Steve. Excellent weathering and another example of how layering up effects works so well. The result shows how simple oils and pigments are all that's needed to weather an award winning model. Congratulations on the commendation at Telford.
Hi Jim. Your message has only just come through. The joys of being on YT I'm afraid. I appreciate your kind words. I went out on a high at Telford with five medals and a best in show plaque. This will be my last international show now. The pressure is off so I can enjoy the hobby more. Take care my friend and speak soon
Simply excellent work and this in the small scale. Outstanding job with this great kind of weathering. The result is more than convincing. Great work, Steve. Best wishes, Joachim
Hi Joachim. Not as detailed as your latest offering but it was a fun kit to do over the weekend. It was the weathering that brought it to life. Hope your Christmas preparations are going well. Speak soon my friend and happy modelling!
Hi Pauly. Your dead right there my friend. It was a simple kit which needed a bit of inspirational weathering to make it stand out from the crowd. I appreciate your kind words my friend and happy modelling
Hi Tom. Hope you had a great weekend and that your Christmas preparations are going well Many thanks for stopping by and commenting. Have a great week and speak soon
Hi Shawn. Hope you had a great weekend and that your Christmas preparations are going well. Many thanks for stopping by and commenting. Have a great week and speak soon
Hi Steve, the level of weathering detail that you achieved at this small scale is just amazing, always a pleasure to watch you work my friend, well done! Johnny
Is that me or the model mate? LOL Hope you are well my friend. Luv seeing your videos of home. I hope the Christmas preparations are going well. Many thanks for stopping by and commenting Have a great week and speak soon
It was a nice break from doing an intensive build mate. Many thanks for popping in and commenting. Hope your Christmas preps are going well. Have a great weekend my friend and speak soon
Steve, amazing weathering job on this 1/72 scale Austin. The OPR techniques and pigments produced very realistic effects, and let me add that I fully agree with your comment about Rinaldi's expertise (Rinaldi Studiopress)
Hi LZ. I hope you are well my friend. I always used oils then I discovered Mike and he seemed to put everything in order. I have learnt a lot. Although he is far better than me its always nice to strive towards his greatness. Take care my friend and speak soon
Hi Igor. Not heard from you in a while. I hope you are well. Many thanks for your continued support of my work and the channel. I hope you and your family have a wonderful festive period and Merry Christmas to you my friend
Lovely rivet detail on that kit,Steve and a great finish to your Finnish armoured car. Congratulations on the award for it. Do you get the pigment fixer from an art supply shop?. Thanks for showing techniques and hope you and your family have a nice Christmas with best wishes from jolly old Norfolkshire 👍🎅😎Pete 🤓🎅
Hi Pete. I hope you are well my friend and that your Christmas preparations are going well. With you being in Norfolk do you go to the MAFVA show in St Ives each year?? I went a couple of years ago and was very impressed. As for the fixer its the stuff Ammo Mig sell and easily brought from a model shop or online. I will say it can eat away at the glue on the model so make sure a good coat of varnish has been applied first. Many thanks for stopping by and commenting. Take care my friend and speak soon
@@SteveJonesScaleModellingSite Thanks for the reply,Steve. No,my disabilities have drastically restricted my mobility and I haven't been to the St Ives show. I live on the outskirts of Norwich and St Ives is easier for Bob to get to from South London than it is from Norwich. Thanks for the info on the fixative, what chemical is in it,that makes it so aggressive? Cellulose thinner?
Awesome work, paint is amazing.
Done so well. Great work.
