Anne Lister’s Music: Soundtrack to her teenage years

Join us to explore two books of music chosen by Anne Lister in her youth. Following an in depth study of the collection, pianist and historical interpreter Lisa Timbs shares insights into what these choices tell us about Anne’s character, her attitude to the expectations of society at the time and also her relationship with Eliza Raine.
With the use of a period square piano, Lisa recreates the music with live recordings made at Shibden Hall.
