Making the custom firewall - 64 Toyota Stout build
Вставка

- Making the firewall to accomodate the 302 Windsor and meet up to the new floor pans.
Firstly I needed to move the steering shaft across towards the engine slightly so I reshaped the side of the tunnel for it to fit.
I then patterned the top panels with cardboard and worked out the bead rolled design. I wanted something nice and simple that also served a purpose - the swage lines allow water to flow outwards away from the engine bay.
The front of the firewall was also fairly simple in its design with the beadrolling acting as reinforcement for where the inner guards will bolt on.
Yeah the music sucks but I’m struggling to find songs on artlist that aren’t autotuned or pop 😅
We need more of your content on YT, the ones from Instagram are short. Your metal skill is out of thi world, mindblowing. You've gained a fan from SA🇿🇦
Thankyou! They just take 3-4 months to generate enough footage to make one 😅
Her skill is making me subscribe
Eres realmente asombrosa, cuanto talento tienes y que bien empleado ,todo mi respeto y admiración para ti
@@plainnpretty Yep i subscrice when i see that car floor. ART 🥰
@@Noweks yes I agree useful art
Excellent work, great design, came out great!
Thanks!!
Views- counts should deservedly be in the tens to hundreds of millions - I think that will come it just takes a while for people to find you because of all the content we have to wade through to find gems like these..
Thankyou!! Hopefully it keeps getting out there 😊
that's common, a lot of the time view/sub counts don't match skill and quality of work... it has more to do with the algorithm than skill
Watching from Georgia, USA. I've been metal fabbing most of my life. Mostly crude racecar stuff. You're an artist! I subscribed
Thankyou!!
Amazing workmanship, watching from 'down under Oz'🇦🇺... keep the vids coming. Very impressed with your talents....👍
Thankyou for watching! I’m also in Aus 😁
Found you on IG and have been following there. Recently found your channel. I am mesmerized by your skill level and craftsmanship. This build is nothing short of amazing. Looking forward to more 👍👍
Thanks for the kind words :)
I had a problem with a power plant on a car I built on my father's farm in Scotland. The bell housing was to big and fouled the old steering arm system. Some friend of mine who worked in Rolls Royce Appleyards fixed it with modifying the slave cylinder. We were going to move the engine forward and put the radiator in the back floor with electric fans, so front cross members would need to be moved forward. The battery was put in a box with a little heater radiator from an Austin Mini at the back of it. All kinds of different axles were introduced, but I got my engineers certificate and got it on the road. Good luck with the power plant and firewall.
Thankyou! Yes a lot of work to do here also :)
Stunning work, much respect 🖤
Thanks!
Wow , Shoot , the Artwork, Job ...! Wonderful Women, too much

What a woman! What a truck!
Thankyou!!
Amazing work as always!
Thankyou!
WOW! YOU ARE TALENTED
Thanks!
Watching you is just amazing! Thx for the content you are providing!
Thankyou!!
Ok… I just watched your work for the first time yesterday “doing the floors on the Toyota Stout”. The depth, layering and fluidity just blew me away. I have never seen this level of bead work and metal shaping. Now… today I watched you fab the firewall. Even though you kept to your intention to fab a less technical piece, the organic curves, depth and flow are all there as well. Stunning!
I’ve subscribed and you have a loyal fan.
Thankyou for the sub and I appreciate the kind words 😊
Amazing metal work
speechless , absolutely fkn amazing 👏
Using the Sawzall as a sander is genius
You want to know what’s annoying about this video. After watching it with my sons, they proceeded to get very pissed off at me for not moving as fast as you are on my project truck, and no amount of explaining to them has made them believe that this is edited. They actually think you move that fast. Lol. Aside from the bruise to my ego. This is another great video. Keep it up.
😂 I truely wish i could! The stout would be finished my now. Thankyou!
You're making me miss my old Stout. I often imagine what I would've done with her, but it would not have been this wild. 302 Windsor is a good motor choice. Thanks for the inspiration. 'm exited to follow your build. I liked the 4-speed manual column shift. I did not like the transmission parking brake.
Thankyou! Maybe you could get another one day.
Astonishing how effortless you make these panels! You have a great eye for aesthetics. Sub'd!
Thankyou!
Precision and extremely inspiring work you are capable of producing, wow really 👌🏼😃
Thankyou!!
Incredible skill. Subscribed.
Thank you!!
Я из России! То что вы делаете, получается божественно!
Thankyou!
Phenomenal work. In 40 odd years of metalworking / car building I have not seen anyone do better, and there are not many who could equal it. amazing!
Thankyou!! I appreciate the kind words :)
I just discovered your work, absolutely love it
Thankyou! Glad to hear
I was impressed by the very polite and beautiful making. I'm looking forward to the rest.
Thankyou!!
Fantastic work and professional finish. Love the work and with basic tools. Keep it up, you'll go a long way 😊
Thankyou!
2 questions what size rounding over die and you don't cool your welds and still have a great finish
@@adriandehoon1785 this was the 1” die and nah, In my experience, cooling the welds will actually make it shrink more. Best to let it cool naturally. Trick is setting up the panel nicely and being consistent with everything.
Hi 😀
Your skills make me jealous.
Brilliant work! Top regards from the UK and happy to subscribe!
Thankyou!
amazing Jasmine just amazing.
I'm totally amazed thanks for your vids, where are you in Oz

Very very good work your metal skills are amazing keep up the UA-cam channel love to see the finished project!👍
Thankyou!
Thought I was going to work today and then stumbled across your channel. You hear it in all the comments, your metalwork is phenomenal!! Just wanted to be added to that group!
Thankyou!!!
I got it: this is "Riddler" ; "Pebble Beach" level artistry.
Thankyou!
close for sure , i saw a couple tiny little things that could probably keep it from being at that level (and that could be the camera playing tricks or this could also be one of those that looks good on film but in real life you're like whaaaaaa) but yeah it definitely is very close to that level of fab work!
Another awesome day
This is the nicest firewall I have ever seen. There is something about the curves and flow from the transmission tunnel to the scuttle that is so pleasing to the eye.
Thankyou!
Absolutely awesome. Shout out from Hong Kong
Thankyou!!
Very impressed with your fab skills. Amongst the best I have seen

Instant subscription! Is the old 'metal scissor' the tool you value the most? Anything else can be bought new so..
Thankyou! You can still buy those new. I believe the most useful tool is the bead roller.
Sweet lord that is some nice metal work 👍
Thankyou!
I was like what is that You are using to blend the grain in the panels, You are an artist, definitely would watch anything You make..
Thankyou!!
Hello, how many years of practical to work so so well like this !!?? sorry for my english I'm French 🤣
Thankyou! Mostly practicing on weekends for about 9 years
For a challenge, I'd like to suggest making a 5'10" to 6'3" or so three or four fin surfboard out of 4140 chrome-moly sheet steel (not sure what thickness). If anyone could do it I'm thinking you..That steel in salt water would be a shark magnet though.. maybe a zinc anode would make it quieter electrically to the sharks.. Edit: actually I'd suggest copying one that you like, one of Geoff McCoy's designs would be good. Much easier to copy a shape than to dream one up, too many variables.
Thankyou! Sounds interesting but I’m too busy building cars at the moment! I also live a long way from the beach! 😅
@@khaosdesign3441 I also had the idea you could silk screen some black long-sleeve beefy t-shirts that say in your same Khaos script: "Do you even Tig, Sis?" - I think "Do you even Tig, Bro?" might be trademarked already, but I just came up with the Sis version a few minutes ago and you're welcome to use it. I just did a search for that on Google and it came back with zero hits so I think it is original: No results found for "Do you even Tig, Sis?".
Is that a custom attachment at 2:34 for the recip saw to give a directional sanding pattern rather than swirls? So much better then wearing the tips off your fingers
Yeah it’s exactly that! It’s an old durablock glued to a modified sawzall blade. Much quicker than hand sanding :)
The work is outstanding,. But, the sound track reminds me of a 1970 porn video!?
😂😂 yeah I was really struggling to find a song on artlist. The options are pretty scarce.
Let's get this lady vews so she can get a concrete floor. She is doing this on dirt. Imagine what she culd do with a real shop floor.
Thankyou!! The concrete is actually finally going to be happen very soon
Шикарная работа! Умница!
Thankyou!
Every time I see one of your videos, I am in total awe at the level of skill and artistry you put into your work!👍

Thanks!!
@@khaosdesign3441 would so love give it a try but where to find such a great workshop with capacity for newbies to make some dents into sheet metal, but seeing sheet metal turning into forms make me dream of building an Aluminium Yacht once :-) OK Aluminium different story but saw an software engineer from Norway building his yacht from sheet panels with a giant english wheel „journeyman“ very inspiring :-) would love to see what you would make from a Volkswagen T3 bus and/or a „Brezel-Käfer“ Typ60
Who taught you? Fantastic skills!
Masterful work
Thankyou! I spent a day with an old school coach builder a few years ago but it’s mostly just practice
Superb work and spellbinding to watch!
Thankyou!
Incredible work...... My only criticism is that you put the steering wheel on the wrong side. 😮😅😅
Thankyou! I’m in Australia
I know, but I was kinda hoping that you were building it for me, and I am in Canada.....😅😅😅😅😅
Awesome fab skills.. looks amazing 👍
Thankyou!
@@khaosdesign3441 You're welcome!...You should be teaching a course on metal fabrication with the skills and knowledge that you have 👌
Would be nice to see these mad skills used to build something say like a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO, one could wish.
I can only afford a stout 😅
But we know what a GTO looks like, this will be much more of a surprise 🤔
Amazing work! A pleasure to watch you force the metal to conform to your vision.
Thankyou!
Olá gostaria deixar os parabéns pelo trabalho no metal muito bem desenvolvido por esta jovem que tem tudo para tornar grande

Wow😮 where do you find such a talented woman? Blown away
Amazing skill, where is your shop??
Thanks! This is my personal build, not really a shop but vic, Australia.
super awesomeo!
I have previously commented on the level of finish in your work, which leads me to expect a crusty old grey haired fella doing the creating. I was shocked for you to be a quite young lady, but now to top it all even more, You're an Aussie!!
Gender aside, spectacular work speaks for itself. I look forward to the trimming of the Stout. You blow me away BTW..
Thankyou! 😊
You are amazingly talented!!!😮
