- I liked this stage, shame they never really repeated it like this. In the newer games they make it like it's two massive forces against each other.
Difficulty: Hard (obviously)
Stage: Lu Bu's Revolt
Requirements: Defeat everyone in the stage except for Dong Zhuo
Tips: All the officers have to be defeated by you, all troops can be defeated by either you or Diao Chan (It's probably impossible to prevent her from defeating anyone) There's a few ambushes that need to be activated by going into some parts of the castle twice.

Huh, this game looks a lot more interesting than DW8, which I had just picked up recently on sale for the Switch.
The slashing sound of each hit in DW4 makes your attacks feel very powerful. This is something I felt was missing in 8; it sounds and feels like I'm just whacking enemies instead of slicing them up. There's not also not so many that they get spread out and require you to run around if you wanna pick them all off. And they don't look like peasants like they do in 8.
The 1v1 Duels are also very cool to have, like a mini fighting game round. Officers don't mean shit in DW8 really; they're just like any other enemy but with bigger numbers. They can occasionally Musou in 8, but you still decimate them easily if you're geared appropriately for the difficulty level.
I also like how this stage is very spacious, but is actually smaller and easier to navigate than the castle stages in DW8. I checked out the Battle of Xiapi in DW5, and it's pretty much a compact version of what's in 8. Traversing in 8 is just not very fun unless you're on Red Hare.
The menus & maps in 4 are even cooler than 8's, too. I'd definitely pick up a remaster of this.
Plus, Dong Zhuo is voiced by Richard Epcar, the voice of Bo-bobo!
Welp, I got Lü Bu 2 Halberds with Induction, Explosive, Frenzy, Flurry, and Slash/Flash (kept Flash on my 5☆ Soul Crusher) and I recruited Wang Yuanji today. DW8 really is a playground for broken builds. Took a little bit of grinding to get there, but it picked up pretty quickly once I was able to really invest in my Barracks in Ambition Mode. Just needa unlock Red Hare to really smooth out the experience (though I wish all horses had an extra 10 speed at least). DW8 definitely has that addictive quality to it and lets you go crazy. I still like what I see with DW 4 & 5, being games that are simpler, but still have fights that carry more weight than those in 8. When I unlocked the Soul Crusher earlier today in the Xiapi Defensive Battle in DW8, I was just going crazy on a crowd and didn't even see that Cao Cao was there until I defeated him.
Yeah, Tbh I enjoy playing DW8 over the old ones, don't get me wrong the old games are better (DW3 and DW4 at least). But there's something about DW8 I just enjoy more, it's probably the over the top movesets and elemental damage lol
DW4, DW5, DW7, DW8. If their mechanics can complement for each other, their remaster ( or definitive edition ) would be a blast. DW4 has the dueling mechanic and the feeling that anyone could eliminate you. DW5 had the lax camera motion ( helps out alot with wielding one's weapon ) and best classic DW character costume. DW7 had awesome narrations and telling of the characters romance ( emotions, relationships ). It also had perhaps the Empires mode that screams out right ( a moderate domestic phase and allowing player to execute stratagems ). DW8 has the best modern DW costume and rather extravagant combo moves. Combine that and it'd be the best thing.

hold the button that you press for ulti, then u can attack multiple times

No. The easiest one is TaShi Ci. Just defeat 2 generals in the early game and you can get the 10th weapon
