Yeah,i have dell optiplex 3020 series,it runs gta 5 very very well in normal graphic (which is good too),i bought it 65 bucks here in indonesia, and run without dedicated gpu,and not consume very much power hahahaha liked it
Just saying, a Core2Duo would out of my wishlist. Power consumption > Performance. I got an HP 3300MT with G630 and 2GB, plus blurry monitor for only Rp100.000,- (less than $10) from an office near me. Upgraded to 2390T and 16GB along with time. I guess, I got lucky. Great find, working it as proxmox at home. I would love to get an Optiplex 7050 SFF or an Elite Desk 800 G3 mini in the future, but it would cost more than 5-10x my current setup.
Well saved!👍👍 Linux gives older computers a new lease of life and I usually install Linux Mint Mate version or Zorin OS. That computer can handle a maximum of 8 gig., of DDR3 ram., I have several examples of that model and they all have 8 gig., installed.
$100 is absolutely unrealistic. If you hunt you can find deals often. Stay tuned for what I have coming up you may be surprised on what I’ve found recently on offer up.
Nice come and cool video, i'm looking at buying 8x of the "hp compaq elite 8300 ultra slim desktop" with a i5-3470S, 8gb and 320gb hdd (no-dvd-drive) and windows 10 keys for 15 usd per unit (in Denmark) and adding 120gb ssd's, usb wi-fi and win11 (unsupported hardware) and then selling them cheap to people en need (they are using the same case as your core2 model)
It'll run a LOT better if you ditch the bloat loaded ubuntu and run debian 12 with the XFCE desktop on a $30 SSD. I have a few Dell Vostro's of similar specs and they run faster than my Windows 10 machine that runs on an i7 3930k and GT960.
Happened to stumble upon your channel from your optiplex 390 video and i've got to say you've done a good job so far! Keep up the great work.
i need myself a slim form factor PC one of these days. they're so nice.

Nice find. Wish people would sell their old systems at a reasonable price. Someone is selling a system like that for $100 and won't go down in price

Where are both of you live?
I thought, overseas is where abundant old -free- hardware throws at garbage/dumpster bin

Do it that’s a good flip, you can find people that need basic office computers and sell them for much more than you’d expect.
I save them for myself most of the time but if someone asks me for one I’ll sell it
Upgrade cpu to core 2 quad. Should be compatible with motherboard.
Funny you say, I just got 2 of them in… video coming very soon :))
I have upgraded one of my core 2 duos and it worked great. There's also a cheap way to overclock them. Search: electrical tape overclock

how about a small server, jellyfin will run on it
I’ll check that out, I’m not familiar with jellyfin. Thank you for the suggestion!
could make a great Batocera or Emuelec system
I’ll check those out I’m not familiar with either but I’ll research both & try it out! Thank you!
@@brycestechlife Cool. Enjoy trying them. They are OSs for game emulation
