Miss those days in high school of listen to just Parkway Drive, Whitechapel, Impending Doom, and that EP from A Black Rose Burial, Children of Bodom...now 30 I forgot but glad I found this in my favorites playlist!
I like this kind of music because these bands use a broad range of vocabulary which is awesome. All the mainstream music uses simple vocabulary. And I love indulging myself with the lyrical styles of underground metal
I've always thought the same thing about this album tbh I love the articulate use of extensive vocabulary in the lyrics, unlike other death metal albums where it's all "I'll fuck you with a knife and leave your corpse for the maggots I'm insane you whore" nothing against any of that but, here on this album it really puts you through the perspective of someone who's very meticulous and has vast knowledge of anatomy and tools used to excise said anatomy, perhaps someone w medical experience, hell even a mortician. Ofc the album is of Jack the Ripper but still lol
just because we like this music doesn't mean were bad people? im a straight A student, I play football for my high school, i help elders, i care about everyone and i go to church everyday after football practice. don't judge someone if you don't even know them and religious people especially are not supposed to be judging people were all the same in God's eyes!
your picture is awesome. tripped me out a bit. i was getting ready to put him outside. i'd be pissed if i started trying to pick it up with paper. this thing defies physics!
@Technestudios haha me and my buddies were just tlkin bout this the other day, the fact that a dictionary is needed to decipher some of there lyrics makes em that much better lol
Why the religious hate? I'm religious but I'm not perfect and sometimes I want to punch a broad in the throat. Especially when I relate to songs like this. I don't judge because I know damn well that I'm not perfect. Awesome song though.
You're just fucked because you are [not because relgion has anything to do with it], no one who listens to this uses it as justification for beating up people, at least real metalheads don't! The majority of people who listen to it and understand Metal listen to it because it is the horror-themed genre of music. Just like a horror movie these songs tell tales and fantansies that we can all relate to for one or another reaso!.
I actually happen to be religious, Christian actually, I just don't judge people for their beliefs, or in any way really, but I listen to most metal and punk genres and I even listen to black metal sometimes, although not often, and it's never anything that's too offensive to my beliefs, but even if something is, I don't let it change what I believe
Metal bands like Whitechapel increase in popularity no matter what so it really doesn't matter whatever any kid does. I've seen this band grow out since 2008
It's hard to believe that people try to compare Mitch Lucker to Phil. I respect Mitch, but only in death. I hate his music, and the band he represents, and his vocals are trash. But you can't compare a peasant to a god. But I mean, come on. Whitechapel all the way.
yeah i understand about him putting it better i couldn't think of how to explain it but i knew what i wanted. and it really is i found it interesting doing research on the subject
Hey whoa! Let's not forget about Jonny Davy from Job for a Cowboy! He's beast at both lows and highs. You hear entombment of a machine? That's a perfect example...
I've been listening to screamo lately and this is like the first time the big words weren't excluded to just the title.. Definately listening to more Whitechapel.
Technically it is edited. One track has the lows, the other has the highs, and they are played synchronously, that's a common technique in deathcore music.
1:22 That growl holy shit!
He just had to burp really bad
Parzival _77 Lol
*gutteral
Phil is the fucking king.
Soo much better experiencing it live!
"this whitechapel album also includes a free dictionary"

Jeffrey Davis you might like Shadow of Intent, nice range of vocabulary. All the songs are about halo
Listen to Archspire
Vildhjarta is for you. And enterprise earth have one of if not the best lyricist in deathcore

Brian Appel Vocally... instrumentals where nice I thought...
Imagine, taking a nice, moist cake; then having a diarrhea dump on it.
I saw both them live with Attila a while back and even got to smoke with Attila way back in the day we were like 14 or 15 at the time
the kings of deathcore
Holy crap, I've never heard this pre "This is exile" Whitechapel.... good gravy that was brutal.

this entire album is just pure brutality
Correct me if im wrong, But im fairly Certain that Whitechapel is actually just a Road/Street in London where Jack The Ripper Frequented.
that was fucking amazing and it being my first time listening to this band
1:59 - patience, one at a time 😁
Great song, great band
how, it hurts my ears
Lol only if you play it loud enough 😂
+Xx Death xX (Spicy) you can never play this too loud

1:23 was the meanest grow!
One of his best growls ever!
This was the first Whitechapel song I heard.. They are now my undeniably favourite band
freaking awsome like 25 time listening to it! -headbanging in my house- lol
your picture is awesome. tripped me out a bit. i was getting ready to put him outside. i'd be pissed if i started trying to pick it up with paper. this thing defies physics!
this is the best song everrrrr

That was the most real comment I've seen in a while. Respect man

too many people are like youre going to hell for listening to this, makes me wanna crank up the volume.
they need to make a new album like this, its pure genius
Love this
Still some of the finest and cleanest deathcore in 2020
Your propositions! ER ER ER ERRRR
whitechapel my awesome band
Am i the only one that knows this whole cd was inspired by jack the ripper..fuck yeah
The band its self was named after the town that jack the ripper used to drop his vicits bodies at.
Aidan Pratte wow, Jesus Christ you two are dimwits.
***** lol please enlighten me as to why were dimwits
Whitechapel is the London town he used to leave the bodies of his mutilated victims.
They're from Knoxville. I'm from Winchester, TN. I've seen them twice 2008-2009
This is by far my favorite song! Ever!
If it's Whitechapel, it's good. Anyone else is up for scrutiny.
Mangetsu / Der Deutsch Gamer

1 word....AWESOME!
This album and DOE by Chelsea Grin are the best metal albums to ever be made. (I know they're technically deathcore, but lets be real, this is metal)
Both are indeed prime deathcore.
Indeed
I'm sorry I disagree
And you may feel free to do so. But facts are facts
Your right about that xD
With high screams (vocals), Phil cant compare to Mitch. Mitch win the high, Phil win the low.
yeah i understand about him putting it better i couldn't think of how to explain it but i knew what i wanted. and it really is i found it interesting doing research on the subject
i love this song and band they so perf
Hey whoa! Let's not forget about Jonny Davy from Job for a Cowboy! He's beast at both lows and highs. You hear entombment of a machine? That's a perfect example...
dude you are my new deity, a pentangled leaf the floats on a cloud of smoke
Hopefully they do a tour performing this album in its entirety next year since it makes the 10 year anniversary
The breakdown at the end....wowww.
I love it when a song you wanna listen to next is in the suggestions of the one you're currently listening to.
Sonnet of the Wretched! \,,/
I miss this
Phil is fucking amazing at double tracking it's genius
@bizarredude101 I love the fact that listening to this album expands peoples vocabulary.
Voices in my head.
Phil Bozeman has improved so much ever since this album
i must hear this live!
2007 is when I got into Whitechapel. Fuck man. The memories.
mmmm the guitars at 1:58 - 2:30 always get me headbanging!!!
Maan, I used to be in love with this song during my emo days 😂
1:22 is awesome 🤟🏿
This is the only band with lyrics as sensual as Barnes-era CC. It always gets one in the mood for some passionate love making.
Not sure why im in so much love with this song ;D
I think I just made a great decision into listening to WhiteChapel. They're amazing!
This song got me into Whitechapel. I never looked back.
it was fairy fay for me >:D best music life decision ever
Best country music ever.
Its gotta be one of the best break downs ever.... when he just growls Own........ for like 10 seconds
I've been listening to screamo lately and this is like the first time the big words weren't excluded to just the title.. Definately listening to more Whitechapel.
I know I'm 10 years late but please never call anything screamo
I just fell in Love once again!
It's a concept of Jack The Ripper. The place where Jack dumped his victims was called Whitechapel. Hence the name and the album
They use such mature and educated vocabulary and still manage to make amazing fucking music. Only Whitechapel.
BRUTAL love whitechapel
Esta canción es como una droga... No puedo dejarla.
my gye friend just told me to listen to this band and i fell in love wit this song
This. This is what a lot of people need to do.
Haha, hard to describe this song really, one of the most POWERFUL songs I've heard, you can feel it
@PinkWaffleCOLBZ sir,you are a wise man
this is fantastic
I honestly agree with what you said.
You can tell that Dying Fetus was a big influence on these guys. In just the vocals, I am hearing a Dying Fetus influence.
this is my 2nd favorite album of 3 :D
first has to be new ear of corruption, then this...then EP Recorrupted then this is Exile
I should really show this to my English teacher. That'll teach her a lesson!
sweetest song ever
These guys were definitely hooked on phonics. i learn so many new words from them lol!
Probably they're best album.
@josdavis5309 You took all this to heart and I am the bad troll? Oh man thanks for the laugh and merry christmas
The way he says seek and grave at the end of the song makes me drool.
1:22 to 1:31 is the best growl ive ever heard from these guys
Technically it is edited. One track has the lows, the other has the highs, and they are played synchronously, that's a common technique in deathcore music.
Absolutely Brutal
Yeah I know, I was just saying that to me, the dying fetus influence is pretty obvious. They are big fans of Slayer, Pantera and Slipknot as well.
Amazing..
whitechapel made me an intelectual. i now wear a top hat and drink tea out of a fancy cup while i headbang.
I just got lyrics from this song on my chest!!! Why? Because Phil is a fucking god and I love this song.
@Shink5 I like the vocal performance he did on everlasting sleep.
