Seriously I'll never forget 2007-2010 those were the fucking years to be there while the scene was vibrant and active. Lots of shows n friends. Highschool man im 26 now....this shit is crazy how time changes everything.
The original mix of this song is still superior than the publicly available version right now on streaming services. There is something raw in this mix I just can't get enough of.
Kevin Lane is such an underrated drummer. The drumming at 1:45 proves that. Dude has such a unique style to his writing. Definitely one of my favorite drummers.
I've just started listening to them and for someone who likes asking alexandria we the kings parkway drive etc this is quite an improvement for me ayyy
Idk man you have to appreciate when a band changes a bit and hones their style down, their newer stuff is different, but its still white chapel, his vocals have gotten cleaner he is easier to understand but just as deep. Also I think their songs have better structure not then they use to, but the old stuff was straight evil I'll give you that lol.
Dirty?? Lol we considered this clean as it got when it released because they were all re-recordings of EP songs everyone endured. Funny how perspectives work.
This is all I seem to find on the videos, the fans who are arrogant to believe that the music they listen to makes them tough, and better than everyone else at everything. Thank you for restoring my faith (slightly) in humanity.
Well, that is only three. I can name a lot more bands - Winds of Plague; Doom-era Job for a Cowboy; Thy Art is Murder; Annotations of an Autopsy; Despised Icon; Abaddon; Eat a Helicopter; Suicide Silence; Infant Annihilator; Impending Doom. Bear in mind, I don't listen to any of those bands. I only know of them. I tried a few of them in the past and I didn't enjoy them all that much.
I would imagine some of this written through jack the rippers eyes, considering the name of the band is Whitechapel and the lyrical content is related. A good question for phil and they boys
tell me the end of this song does not have some of the best synth work in deathcore? lol like straight up melodic as fuck, like some early Dimmu type shit on synths
Thank God he is listening to Whitechapel! It's good music man, I'd much rather our youth be listening to music like this than ignorant rap music like most the kids do
Am I the only person who thinks that this is more like "death metal with breakdowns" instead of "deathcore"? I know that is the definition of deathcore but I feel like this is more technical like death metal, than actual deathcore. Confusing, I know.
It sounds like death metal because its fucking deathcore wtf, you want it to be 24/7 breakdown only with growls? there's more to the fucking genre this entire song is obviously DC.
His new vocals are good but in my opinion too monotone, on this album his lows go ridiculously low and his highs are also ridiculous, and the new songs are just kinda in the middle the whole way through ._.
agreed. I like the new stuff too but the way he did his vocals on this album was way more intense and heavier compared to their newer stuff. I still like whitechapel and they re still one of my favorite bands
I know what you mean man, this CD was more of a serial killer just straight brutal album. I've grown to like the others but this one is easily the best.
lol... 'Reprogrammed to Hate': "The one you call 'Father' is dead and gone; I slit his throat, resurrected him and did it again." Whitechapel is plenty sacrilegious. And I love every single second of it :)
This is Whitechapels best album in my opinon
+Below96 Yea agreed
yuuupp this is Whitechapel at their heaviest in my opinion
That's a fact, not opinion . They stood out and caught my ears with this album
+n galvan too right m8
this was a weirdo song that made my gf cry. I love her weirdo ness
The ending of this song is so beautiful
LAZER'S XZTC456 OH,you again
That symphonic death metal ending lml
Still one of the best intros to an album of this genre. The symphony type ending still gives me chills. So good
That string ensemble outro never gets old.
Pretty brilliant idea for the end.
okay but 2:39 still holds up as one of the most disgusting riffs in deathcore, that shit gives me maximum fucking stank face
Dude 12 year olds who listen to whitechapel are awesome, they in fact, give me hope for our generation :D
nothing they have done since this album can touch this. this was their best work ever, it was unique and the most brutal and heavy
the ending of the song is beautiful
Holy fuck, never realized how brutal old whitechapel was in terms of lyrical content and really everything!
I love it
GetScaredGaming - Henry Wylie lyrical and musical so
Seriously I'll never forget 2007-2010 those were the fucking years to be there while the scene was vibrant and active. Lots of shows n friends. Highschool man im 26 now....this shit is crazy how time changes everything.
Probably my favorite song by Whitechapel and all of deathcore for that matter..
The original mix of this song is still superior than the publicly available version right now on streaming services. There is something raw in this mix I just can't get enough of.
Couldn't agree more. It just hits way harder.
Always. Remastered version is stale and lifeless. The OG mix captures the old school death metal/slam vibe this album was going for.
Kevin Lane is such an underrated drummer. The drumming at 1:45 proves that. Dude has such a unique style to his writing. Definitely one of my favorite drummers.
As someone who has never listened to Whitechapel before, I am genuinely terrified.
I've just started listening to them and for someone who likes asking alexandria we the kings parkway drive etc this is quite an improvement for me ayyy
Haha dont get me wrong tho I love AA but Im starting to get more into these guys and Chelsea grin etc
Fair enough they're not that good live tho tbh
Yea they are massive live, pretty intense pits.
Lol
Pretty sure every deathcore band from 2005-208 did that riff in at least one song 3:36
Ham Bone It's from The Flesh And The Power It Holds by Death and I can't count how many bands copied that riff.
208 lol
lmao 208
@@anj4461 Even the romans were getting litty to that riff back in the day
@@hambone3327
😂 I’m surprised you replied to me since your comment was from 4 years ago
I love the growl at the beginning.....this the best album they have in my opinion
10/10 deathcore
prachtig
Jaja
100/10 deathcore
The fucking ending is amazing
I personally love the old Whitechapel material more than the new.
Same man! if Phil could at least use some of these vocals on the new tracks :(
That also goes for the "This is Exile" album.
Yesyseyes, i much agree! This is brutal death metal! The new stuff is weak deathcore...
100% agreed. :D
Idk man you have to appreciate when a band changes a bit and hones their style down, their newer stuff is different, but its still white chapel, his vocals have gotten cleaner he is easier to understand but just as deep. Also I think their songs have better structure not then they use to, but the old stuff was straight evil I'll give you that lol.
the girl that says to me ":until death do us part will rot hand in hand" is my absolute dream girl and i would never ever let go of her!
TheAngelofdead666 haha same here
TheAngelofdead666 same
I always thought that part would make a really cool matching tattoo with a girl
Damn, I forgot how much heavier it sounds with this dirty production.
Dirty?? Lol we considered this clean as it got when it released because they were all re-recordings of EP songs everyone endured. Funny how perspectives work.
@@officegossip I rmember thinking the quality was ass back then
My favorite quote "Untill death do us part, we'll rot hand in hand"
I'M SEEING THEM TOMORROW AND I CAN'T WAIT TO BE RIPPED TO SHREDS IN THE PIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
kinky
they did, I was right at the barricade.
damn you and your dirty talk!!! :3
Vivian Anne would it be weird if I ask about your eyebrows?
Fuuuck, this takes me back.
Dat outro doe.
This is how Deathcore should be.
deathcore isslamasf agreed
Jordan Wright you two should listen Shadow Of Intent
deathcore isslamasf for real dude . The crap they are putting out now is complete shit and mainstream . I can’t even call it deathcore anymore
@@markolivares6943 The valley is a beautiful and emotional work of art.

i love how the violin fades in at the end

0:21 is what made Whitechapel one of my favorite bands.
Is it just me, or at :22 does it not sound like he's finishing a milkshake?
hahahahah, love it XD
haha best thing ever XD
Good old Toilet Bowl effect.
George Nicula or a toilet flushing lol that's what I always heard rofl
😂😂😂👍
Little known fact: 0:22-0:37 is an actual recording of my voice while taking a shit after eating Taco Bell
this will always be me favorite song by these guys
the entire song is so brutal and then the end is so calm. perfect blend. i love it!
Based on all the comments saying the end was beautiful, i was expecting an extremely heavy outro
Same
My friend got me into this band, and now that hes in Juvie this band fills that empty void of mine.
Not a fan of deathcore, but as far as good bands in this style, Whitechapel definitely excel, as well as Carnifex and All Shall Perish.
Well you kinda just named 3 of the most famous DxC bands as being good so, seems you enjoy alotta the genre
Job for a Cowboy is a death metal band nowadays
Yup, and Sun Eater was amazing.
of all those you mentioned, you'd probably enjoy despised icon and thy art is murder the most
Such a wholesome love song...
These lyrics demonstrate the truly maligned mind, truly disturbing.
Another love song...
Every time I plan to listen to Whitechapel, I bring a dictionary with me. >.
This is where "i don't need to understand the lyrics to enjoy it" becomes proven
slurpee core
Br00tel
dude they put this song at #1 on the album. what an epic way to start off a cd man holy shit.
Until death do us part we'll rot hand in hand :3 epic... just so epic
I love Whitechapel's older stuff, but I really am glad that they've matured the way they have. Their new stuff is just fucking amazing.
I would imagine some of this written through jack the rippers eyes, considering the name of the band is Whitechapel and the lyrical content is related. A good question for phil and they boys
The whole "Somatic Defilement" album is about Jack the Ripper lol.
Ah. I was unaware. Thanks for telling me!
Thats exactly what its all about :)
bioniclecreator2078 forgot to change accounts huh?
@@someguyplayin6704 Bro xD
Love that violin part at the end. Aside from that, this is one of my favorite songs by whitechapel, next to hate creation.
"We all will spread disease! We're all diseased!"
That's pretty damn relevant these days
The ending is so inspiring with the violens and everything.
tell me the end of this song does not have some of the best synth work in deathcore? lol like straight up melodic as fuck, like some early Dimmu type shit on synths
+Jared LaRiviere I think Cradle of Filth has a pretty good hold on that.
Cradle of Filth is not deathcore in the slightest....LMFAO think before posting man. hahaha
I was referring to great synth work.
+Jared LaRiviere he was talking about the synth quite clearly.
I really love this song. "Till death do us part, we'll rot hand and hand" I frickin' love it.
0:22 After you took a to big sip of beer
The ending is so beautiful!
This Song Is Like Suicide Silence-Unanswered. The Guitar riff and the blasting
0:20 POV: your waking up and the coffee is brewing
I wanna marry this guy (hex)
Get a room!
Pretty gay
I learn more about the English language by listening to these guys than I do in actual lessons.
1:29, TOTALLY sounds like BTBAM. In literally every aspect.
Seeing these guys live in iowa city. for my 17th birthday going to be the best birthday ever.
The man responsible for growling being my ultimate turn on...
got to hear them play this live for their first time in 5 years the other day, it was amazing.
It's kinda weird saying this, but the ending is kinda beautiful
yes it is!!
It is beautiful despite the songs meaning lol
+LAZER'S XZTC456 it could be beautiful to some 🤔
+Maxim Pospielovsky True
+LAZER'S XZTC456 not Jack the Ripper btw
Thank God he is listening to Whitechapel! It's good music man, I'd much rather our youth be listening to music like this than ignorant rap music like most the kids do
The initial YOOOOOOOOOOOORGH is missing in the lyrics
this is downright poetic
holy shit 0:22

Jacob Miller try listening to brain drill if you think this is technical death metal
deathcore isslamasf Or any of Revocation or Suffocation
That outro is beautiful
3:07 The Coronavirus and it's victims.
Good Job, I especially liked how you differentiated between the highs and lows with capital letters.
Whitechapel or Chelsea Grin? Which is better?
I'd pick Whitechapel, because of the lyrics.
Totally Whitechapel.
I'm with you guys.. They have good poettry in their songs.
both are great
Chelsea Grin kind of wend downhill with their songs(in my opinion).
i use to live in the same city as these guys and they would play in all the local concerts and i always new they would go big time and im super proud
Justin Bieber Died From Singing That : )
And I Really Hate Him.
Jessica Dawson I don't really care for Justin Bieber, and neither should you.
So much better than the remaster.
Some parts of this song sound like death metal.
+Jason This is death metal.
+Were Wolfey hmm... Now that I think of it, you are right.
It sounds like death metal because its fucking deathcore wtf, you want it to be 24/7 breakdown only with growls? there's more to the fucking genre this entire song is obviously DC.
