We are going full time next year. We will be in a Fifth Wheel and mostly staying in RV parks so it will be a little more expensive for us. We will be out of debt and have a set reliable income. As long as we budget, I think we will be good to go.
Wayward Waggs - congrats on your impending full-time travel! So exciting! Yep as long as you know your income and stay within your budget - you'll be fine. Happy travels.
Glad I found and subscribed to your channel Amber. I have been following a few "full-time RVr's" channels and I really enjoy all your information. You do a great job. Thanks for sharing your journeys. Look forward to many more.
I am so glad that I found your site. I am an older solo woman who will be snow birding for the first time this winter. I really enjoy your informative videos.
Excellent Budget. I will be staying in my daughter's backyard in Virginia to start out , but I be studying this video again. Thanks again for leading the way. Stay Beautiful
Knowing me and minimalism, I could cut lots of corners on food, entertainment, my phone plan, and a bit more. RV'ing sounds like something worth experiencing.
Great video, we have been travelling in our Class A for 8 years, we only travel around 200 to 400 per month unless we have a place we have to be. Most full time people start out doing many miles then slow down....thanks.
Wow that's incredible the with the low mileage! I'm sure I can slow down more, but I sometimes just get itchy feet to move. The longer I travel though, the more I see myself slowing down. It's about the journey right?
Thank you for sharing to us your monthly budget. Surely it will be helpful for those who are also RVing to anticipate costs and decide which of the following they are able to cut back to save up.
I’m doing this once my lease is up in July I’ve been wanting to do it 10+ years and it’s time. Selling my car selling everything I don’t need and buying a new rv thank you so much!!!

We are considering a RV lifestyle. You video is very helpful. We are thinking of just RVing for a short while, during the Summer months. We will then return to our stick built home for the Winter months. We live in the Desert Southwest of Arizona. I enjoyed watching, and I subscribed and put notifications on. Thank you for sharing!

Hi Amber, really happy I found your channel. I was surprised to hear how reasonable your RV insurance was and wondering if you've run into this problem or know people that have. If you don't mind me asking, what provider do you have? Thanks so much and hope you're okay, so sorry for your loss.
Hi Amber, good info but I did not see anything about an RV payment... unless you are rich, who can afford a Hymer van cash? What not address this for us in a budget?
This was super helpful, with only wanting to do this 3 months out of the year and also paying a mortgage at the same time i think this will be too expensive especially because I know myself and know I wouldn’t feel comfortable at first not going to camp ground etc plus I do enjoy eating out so I know my budget would end up much higher than this. Thank you for this informative video. Definitely something for my wife and I to look forward to once our home is paid off but for now i think we’ll stick to flying somewhere for a 2 wk vacation in January lol, not as free as your life but eventually we’ll get our B class and have fun! Also look forward to going to lakes as well but not being tied disk to one, that seems really fun! Feel free to put more commercials in your videos, you deserve it and they are so educational.

Amber, thanks for sharing your budget and great tips on how to make freedom sustainable on the road fulltime. RVing is something I definitely want to do. People have told me how they could never play a musical instrument as I can, and my thoughts often are, well you can if you practice. Keeping a budget is something that has always been a real chore for me, so I'm marveling at your prowess like those who wonder about how they can play music. Oh, did I see in one of your videos that you carry a Berkey Water Filter System? Thanks for sharing your smarts. You're so beautiful!
Otrie Barrett Jr thank you so much and glad you're really enjoying the content. Yup, I do have a Berkey..Love that thing. What instrument do you play? Great philosophy too on the practice. You don't know until you do it and even then you learn as you go along.
Great info! Thanks for sharing this because it gives me ideas on what I would need to plan for. Do you put your Netflix and Amazon Prime under entertainment?

THANK YOU Amber for this video..... cant wait to get out of MY credit card debt so i can do this COMFORTABLY LIVING not existing LIKE I AM NOW. Blessings !!!!!!!!

whatifounddowntherabbithole Thank you for the concern. I wasn't sure what you were referring to at first, but I think I figured out why. I was hitting the button to get rid of background noise and I can hear a slight difference that contributes to that different sound. Check out the new one coming out tomorrow 8/4 and tell me if that seems different to you. I didn't remove background noise on that one.
Hi Amber, we are getting ready to go on the road full time. My hubby and I have Jeep’s so we got to camper, for for home based and the other for off-road. This was very helpful, thx so very much. We can’t wait to get out there and start our journey. We are 57 and ready to start living.🥰🚐💜💜💜
I guess the 2019 expenses will be a lot higher. I know fossil fuel prices dictate a large part of your travel expenses and certainly most rural homeowners ongoing expenses too.
I go to WASHINGTON, DC to COVER RALLIES and PROTESTS and PA TO COVER 4 the of July or any freedom rally in WISCONSIN, Penn and DC MAINLY,,,,I stay at state parks or truck stops
S K Carsey Thank you so much and glad you enjoyed my videos. 😌🙏 I tell me to think about what they know and what they can teach if you're looking for a service oriented business. Otherwise, for quilting, you can sell on Etsy for sure!
$1,600/mo is roughly my apartment lifestyle budget also, but I have big appliances, closets and bathtub. It also feel safer & no need to worry over maintenance & plumbing issues. My apartment is not portable but I can move if I want to. Hmm ... still debating RV life
Tominftl ThomasP - Yes 2x. Once at a Walmart parking lot when a long haul truck driver approached me while I was walking my dog. He struck up a conversation with me, but was asking very personal questions that make my radar go up, like "Are you by yourself?", "do you carry protection/gun?", "how long are you staying around?", "does you family know where you're at and do they approve?" It made me very uneasy. I was in a parking lot in SD with probably 30 rigs and semis but I still felt weird so I left. The other time was at a rest area and there was a man that kept lingering around my RV. I decided to leave. I was the only person there. Other than that, I've never had any other times where I felt awkward where I left. I try to listen to my gut, be safe, stay in safer areas, stay around other people in the city, etc.
Sorry to bother you I am a student and money is limited. I am trying to not rent a place at the school which that cost so much money. I am right now trying to find a cheap used RV for 1000 dollar is that easy to find as long the engine works is all that matter to me.
That’s going to be pretty difficult especially considering the market. If you have a truck you could probably find a towable small trailer behind you much cheaper but it’s not very stealthy. Otherwise I would look at car camping and convert your existing car into a place to sleep. Look online. Tons of people do it. Even in a Prius. Cheap and stealthy.
Thank you for the video and course! Extremely information. The devil is in the details - thanks for all the details! So many leave all that out. This is a super helpful video! Hope to meet you on the road sometime in the future!
Hi Amber. Thanks for the detailed info on your RV life budget. I have been very curious about the different budgets people have to work with in their lives and the RV lifestyle looks good for most people living on tight budgets. However, of the many budget videos available on line not very many discus the Elephant in the RV, health insurance. Is there a reason most RV'rs leave this cost out of the budget info? I hope it not because they're going without it. Also it would seem that getting medical service on the road could be problematic. But that may be an entirely different video.
Hi John - Great question on the health insurance. Many times people want to what are the expenses more or less related to RVing and how things might change because of that lifestyle. Health insurance is one that can be so different for so many people depending on if you're working or not. I happen to list mine in the personal expense category which I didn't include but is included in my budget template with the free 4-day mini-course on budgeting for full-time travel. I just recently quit my job so I no longer had free health insurance from my employer, but instead am on Cobra right now at $390 per month. I haven't really addressed this yet, but will in the future once Cobra is gone, I have to find another plan. Some people do go without insurance and head to Mexico for any medical services they need. I choose to keep insurance even with that cost; however some people simply can't afford health insurance. With the craziness going on right now with America's health insurance, who knows what will happen in the future.
Mary W - I actually do use sunscreen, the good stuff called Alba Botanical. My chest is constantly red no matter what I do so I'm assuming that's what you were referring to. My mom has it too, but I forgot what it's called.
csquared I didn't have it at the time through normal channels so I didn't pay anything but it's something you can add. Check out this video where I talk more about it: ua-cam.com/video/flR7QXQUZaA/v-deo.html
TheKSProduction Everybodies expenses are different and how they live. This is a guideline to get people thinking about all of that and the costs. Good on you for living even cheaper.
CH Gone I do have a budget for Lily's food and vet expenses which I detail more on my blog post. I tried to strip the budget down to what the average person might need on the road for the video. Hope that helps.
Most of your budget is ridiculously low balled, on almost every line item. Your skewing the estimates, I think your in denial of the real costs. A family of 4 cannot live on this budget.
raustadt 😀 Well, it's a true budget and not sure where you basis of response is coming from. Of course a family of 4 cannot live on this budget. I'm one person and travel solo so you'd need to adjust. This gives a starting basis for someone trying to put one together and can change depending on your own travel needs, desires, and bills. Good luck!
Hi amber, the problem u got poor viewers is that if we want to watch news....we go CNN etc etc....u so full of urself....viewers want to see where, what u see...not see u for 20 mins...u change ur style of reporting u will have more viewers

The other time was at a rest area and there was a man that kept lingering around my RV. I decided to leave. I was the only person there. Other than that, I've never had any other times where I felt awkward where I left. I try to listen to my gut, be safe, stay in safer areas, stay around other people in the city, etc.
Can you use electricity when staying at a national forest? Is there somewhere to charge?
Norma Jeane 😀Usually it's boondocking only so no electricity unless you go to a campground.
Dam, that's a lot of $$$ per month. I live on $900 per month in a house
Very Helpful - Thanx.... mvc

Awesome video!
Chocolate Rose Thank you! 🙂
Thank you for the video and course! Extremely information. The devil is in the details - thanks for all the details! So many leave all that out. This is a super helpful video! Hope to meet you on the road sometime in the future!
Katy in NH Thank you so much and glad you enjoyed my videos and the free course. 😌🙏
That’s not bad…
T-Moble - $80 per month
Phones have hot spot built in
Unlimited Data after 50 gigs speed is reduced
Hot spot 30 gigs per month than speed is reduced

Who provides your RV insurance. That's a good price.
seekingjoynow 😀 Progressive insurance. It's full-timers insurance as well.
Her voice goes so low ao much is really hard to make up what she saying at some points, great video overall and fret info “when I could hear”.
Because she needs to knock it off with the vocal fry.
How much did you pay it for..may I ask..? Ur ride..
please use sunscreen, you have such a lovely complexion, just protect it, love your channel.
Mary W - I actually do use sunscreen, the good stuff called Alba Botanical. My chest is constantly red no matter what I do so I'm assuming that's what you were referring to. My mom has it too, but I forgot what it's called.
I think that can be part of rosacea. It's really rude to make such comments Mary W.
Awesome content, we doing the same thing!
Awesome! Thank you!
I wish you would have covered your health insurance.
csquared I didn't have it at the time through normal channels so I didn't pay anything but it's something you can add. Check out this video where I talk more about it: ua-cam.com/video/flR7QXQUZaA/v-deo.html
@@storychasing Thank you.
Offering my property to full time RV youtubers in Sedona Arizona... if in the area.
David Splan thanks so much. That's very kind of you.
So far... really nice people!
Thank-you!!!
Janis Aschim 😀
Amber, that looks rather expensive.

😀 Thanks for watching and commenting !
Are you fucking kidding me? I own a house and all my costs are lower than $1000. Sounds like RV life is more expensive.
TheKSProduction Everybodies expenses are different and how they live. This is a guideline to get people thinking about all of that and the costs. Good on you for living even cheaper.
How about the cost of your RV?
Leonard Davis 😀
I will be traveling in a T@B 320 S.
Fay Champoux aw sweet! I love those T@Bs!
So you bought your new rig cash from selling your old one?
+Wanda MyMannequinMayhem I traded it in and still have some financing on it.
But was that financing cost in your budget?
Mailbox and mail forwarding? O.o Why would someone need that these days?
dbind 😀
I wish rv'rs would not quote things like food, parks passes, eating out etc. We just want to know what it costs to actually operate the RV itself.
It is expensive
I saw your dog. No budget for your dog?
CH Gone I do have a budget for Lily's food and vet expenses which I detail more on my blog post. I tried to strip the budget down to what the average person might need on the road for the video. Hope that helps.
Get to the point
😀 Thanks for watching and commenting !
your eating out is too high, go to the grocery and get food that you do not have to cook.
Rudolph Gutierrez 😀 While I enjoy cooking at home, I also enjoy meals out. It's good for me.
Do you use a water filter?
Lupe - I do. It's a travel Berkey water filter. If you check out my Van Tour you'll see it. It's a big silver shiny filter that sits in front of the closet.
