I wish these people who make these video knew what they were talking about. As cold travels down there is absolutely no need to put dry ice under the food, only on top. If you put the dry ice on the bottom the cold will go through the bottom of the cooler/box and in humid climates freeze the box to the floor. I know this from years of experience shipping meat and fish.
Jeddia Jones Hi! I want to ship frozen fish to one of my cousin. Is it best to sent the fish frozen? Would i be able to sent it fresh? Around 6 tilapias... what kind of buy do you think is best to sent the fish in? I am sorry i am asking you all these questions, is cause i read you have then this before.. Thank you in advance. :)
it seems you don't know what you're talking about. Col doesn't travel at all... heat travels up. So if you do not have ice at the bottom of the box, the outside heat will eventually travel up through the box and reach the goods.
@. almost $2 a pound in yr. 2022- & most places only sell by the bag, (most bags are 8-10lbs) then there's the shipping cost. That's a costly 4 gallon of ice cream. Easier to send that person a gift card or the recipe lol!
Yes, however there’s a lot of important steps you need to follow when doing so. Because dry ice melts into a gas you need to make sure that the cooler is able to vent the gas off, otherwise it’ll explode, and no that’s not an exaggeration (search UA-cam). You also need to make sure the dry ice doesn’t touch the cooler itself as it’ll cause the plastic to crack. Wrapping the dry ice in newspaper or a towel works but make sure you use appropriate gloves and common sense when doing so.also make sure that there’s a barrier between the dry ice and anything you don’t want frozen as direct contact will cause it to instantly freeze. Keep pressurized items like cans of soda or beer as far from the dry ice as you can when kept in a cooler.

Can we crushed dry ice?
yes. There's also dry ice nuggets. I find these work a little better for my use when I can find them.
So can you use dry ice in a cooler
