Every day a knife's get banned on construction construction sites across the globe. This has given rise to popularity of tool like Stearlings black panther shears and Knipex electrician Scissors.
Black panther defiantly holds court as the best name in the business and is currently setting the standard for this type of heavy industry tool but is knipex and their higher dollar competitor up to the task of taking on the Black Panthers?
Cheers for watching and catch you on the next vid.

I entered the Scissors of the Year competition but I didn’t make the cut.
There i beat you all too it.
Now I have the sudden urge to buy scissors.....
What an honest good review.
Love your channel. You’re a great creator.
Thanks mate
Finn's World one important category for me is satisfaction. I’ve got a set of shears that have a Stanley blade on them, super handy. I used them replacing braided hose on an extrusion water tank, I felt like doing the job for free it was that satisfying. www.hoffmann-group.com/GB/en/houk/Gripping%2C-cutting%2C-and-impact-tools/Shears/General-purpose-shears-with-trapezoidal-blade/p/769820-210?tId=
I have the Stirling scissors 29-513 they run great.
Time to compare the new ones, the pistol grip shears.
It appears you're holding the Knipex scissors backwards. The blue part flares out to fit into your palm and there's a clear 3-finger grip position on the mostly red handle. Hope this helps, thanks for turning me on to these.
Great video mate
Cheers!
Gonna get me a pair of them trusty panthers
I just had a pair of Knipex delivered yesterday for making audio cables.
I am very much a Knipex enthusiast.. but with the length of them, I tent to struggle cutting wider heat shrink as easy as with the panthers
As a low voltage electrician in the USA I've used the knipex for years and use them ever day all day but I've never herd of the Panthers awesome gonna buy some
I don't see a need for these in low voltage unless you're using them in place of dikes, is that what ya do?
Just got my Black Panther here in the US. Took a month to get here.
Tested against Crescent/Wiss and Knipex.
They all excel at some things, and not so good at others. Depends on material you cut.
Only sheers that cut frayed out rope was Knipex, but I wouldn’t try them on some heavy stuff as I did with Crescent and Sterling.
I think I’ll keep them all. They each good for different stuff.
Just got the knipex sticker from you, did not realise that i ordered stickkers from Finn to Finland 🇫🇮 the dont touch my knipex sticker is good to my toolbox
hahah its really cool how manny different places i have got to send them all over the world. They have traveled further than i have for sure!
Black Panthers are "industrial snips", the Engineer ph-55 are "combination scissors" and the Knipex are "electrician shears". As a dedicated tool I wonder who is the best???
I like to see all these scissors compare with Klein tools scissors can you compare it?
"It's a bee's dick" - Australian for "It's a negligible benefit"
I can only find the Due Cigni and the DEHCO , which are exactly the same as Black Panthers, like one of them was the original and the other 2,have copied the design. Does anyone know, which of these 2 I mentioned are better? Thanks in advance
Lets talk about that cutting mat
Why is having a box cutter a hassel?
The fact they banned knives is crazy to me cant imagine being an electrician without a knife use mine at least a dozen times a week but at least they let you use scissors (just 2 knives put together) but whatever some safety department can do to justify their job and make yours a bit harder it seems
It’s a legitimate fact that it’s one of the most common injuries and pretty bad when I knife slips stripping cable, but 99 percent of them are avoided by using simple “rules” and “common sense” people are taught when they first get a pocket knife as a kid. But it’s all about insurance and proof of corrective actions to incidents
@@Finntheweekendwarrior I can see it when theres lots of people some will ignore some common sense just hard to picture not having a knife at work I reckon you live with what you got though I know of a few smaller injuries but luckily so far they haven’t cracked down on knives during the safety crusades
@@tyguy365 were talking about a country that has banned almost everything. It's loser mentality.
Is it worth buying engineer tetsuwan in comparison to knipex?can we use tetsuwan for daily gear?
I don’t think the engineer scissors are worth the money at all. I recommend the black panther’s
Where can you find the black panthers. I can’t find them on eBay or Amazon

Hey buddy I been around here a long time and never seen your tool videos before, have you seen mine? Happy to of found you and subscribed, are you from Africa or an Aussy?
I am from Australia, I’ll check out your channel!
Please, what about Facom, Milwaukee or Olfa 7inch scissors? aren't they as good, if not better than Knipex? Has anybody tried any of these please?
The knipex are $10-$15 cheaper in the US
Ledger Williams you sure that includes the difference in the dollar
Yeah Amazon has them $20-$30 US I can't find the Panthers less than $40 anywhere in the US.
Engineer's blades are twice as long so obviously you have to use them farther from the tips
Yup, they still suck however
7:00 Fumasi, Wiss, C.K., probably the Knipex ones too ... Wonder who actually makes these in Taiwan? 🙄 This whole video trip of mine started from a peculiar YATO YT-1976 Chinese shears, now I know about the Sterling original. 👍 Hey, for $5 I'll give these fake Black Panthers a go as pruning shears while picking grapes in the viniard this fall. 😁
And I thought the U.S has become a Nanny state.
There actually both sterling products lol
7.1.21
knipex wins only due to the notch in the blade, and so he would have handles like a panther...
The knipex are scissors not shears, there is a difference. Knipex shears spunk over panthers
Knipex calls them shears.
That's a myth. People will try to assign attributes to each one, like blade length, finger hole size, and price, but none of that matters. They're synonyms.
Nipex 😁, good review.
I don't understand a word you say....
