I love how you take the same bag for a 4 month backpacking trip, one week holiday and whole move to another country 😂 So impressed that everything fits!
I'm about to move/travel to Alaska with my 40L backpack and literally about to film my packing video today! This is so helpful!! Excited for your Mexico adventures! Your channel/life is one of my main inspirations! Thank you :)
Would you be able to make a video about the process of moving abroad, curious about the steps you need to take. Also how you managed to do this last minute? Loving this content 🤍
@Nur Ich she's only going for 6 months initially and can buy things there. I'm about to move overseas permanently, and I don't have a family home where I can leave things so I'm packing as much as possible (within reason) because everything else is going in the bin- very different situation.
Your videos helped me so much! I went on my 1st solo backpacking trip last year after graduating school in NYC. I back packed Europe for 3 months and used so many of your tips with packing, hostels and transport. I am back home in South Africa now and can't wait for my next trip!! Thanks and all the best for Mexico!
Omgsh yes, I most certainly DID think you moved to Mexico without any of the packing or planning videos, and man was I bummed! So glad to see this! 😁 Take care and enjoy, can't wait to see more! 🤗
You are THRIVING GIRL! Also, you inspired me to do solo travel (just for 3 nights) to Byron Bay. Had the best time thanks to your tips and tricks! All the best for Mexico. :)
Wow you are so inspirational that you have an idea and you follow through with your plan. Especially during the virus... you have inspired me to get myself into gear. Enjoy your adventure in Mexico xx
I’m gonna assume that there will be a video of you explaining how you moved from England to Mexico during these times so, I’ll just be patient and super excited for that video!!! 😜
If you want to go to Mexico, it’s not that hard as they haven’t locked their borders to air travel like other countries. You can’t go over the land borders (at least US) but you can fly in.
I'd be keen to see a video about logistics of moving, especially with covid-19 restrictions and what your visa situation was like, process of applying for visa etc. Great packing video, it's interesting to see how we all pack differently. I definitely lean on the overpacking side but always trying to improve 😊Good luck on the flat search for a place to live 🙌
It is very normal that you only wear the glasses when you 'think' you need them at the beginning :D I used to do the same! Now I am so used to them, I will get a headache from eye strain if I don't wear them as soon as I get up in the morning. What you will also want very soon, especially in a warm country: sunglasses with a prescription. In case you know the exact prescription level, you can also order sunglasses with prescription online!
I am a season backpacker 130 countries. I only booked a flight to leave this week, been living at my mums last 2 years also lol. Your video pop popped up as recommended.
The Tupperware bags are such a great idea! I am going to live in Costa Rica for 10 weeks this winter to escape the gloom and these will definitely be added to my packing list!
I want to move from the US to Norway, but since travel restrictions and all are in place, I’m just binge watching travel videos right now 😂😂 I’ve just packed a 28L backpack with the BARE minimum (clothes for 4-5 days, soap, etc) for when the travel restrictions are lifted. Thanks for the inspiration, by the way, and have a safe trip to Mexico! Edit: I’m using packing cubes and I’ve rolled all my shirts, leggings, and the two pair of shorts I’ve packed with the extra space dedicated to underwear, deodorant, and anything else I could fit. 10/10 would recommend!
Please try the ziplock bag for the towels and remove the air or a vaccum pack one.. I would have worn the strappy top going as a layering piece .. black tops are super useful and that top is tiny lol! the large items like snorkle and tupperware would be have been cheap enough to buy over there .. flat bags for make up and tolietries and bits can be stacked upright using the height of the bag so is easier for packing x
Holy, you have really upped your game on skincare! I've been thinking about your small amount of skincare each time I've watched your packing videos and wondered how I'm supposed to pack so light, haha. Fun to see how your packing has changed over time :D
I know you're already there and it is bulky to pack but as someone who has broken 3 pairs of glasses in the 5 years I've worn them, I would HIGHLY recommend a hard case so you don't have to worry about popping a lense while you travel!
this is random but the first time i came across your channel was in February when i was in London and superr home sick and i've been watching you ever since. i love watching what you get up to on your travels and you have inspired me to one day start backpacking. i hope you're enjoying Mexico so far!
Hi! I’m from Mexico 👋 hope you enjoy your time here! Will you stay in the south of the country? Since we’re getting close to winter you might need a light puffer jacket just in case, and if you go to the northern states you’ll definitely need warmer clothing. 😅 Also, your water bottle will be ESSENTIAL if you don’t want to continuously purchase plastic water bottles. Mexico is a beautiful country, even though we can get a lot of bad rep - but as anywhere else, as long as you don’t flash/show off expensive stuff while traveling places you should be ok 👌🏻 Stay healthy & fun travels!
Love your packing videos, learnt so much from them and can’t wait to reduce our cases down as we have way too much! Definitely keeping the electric toothbrush too, enjoy Mexico!
Hi mate!! I have some ideas for videos. 1- Feeling safe in Mexico. I find that every time I go to Mexico I have the best time and I feel very safe, however, the news and people in general say different things, they mention a lot about the cartels, about the how unsafe it is and about how really bad things happen there all the time, but as I said, I'm yet to see anything bad or to experience any sort of unsafe feeling. 2- I would also love to know how do you entertain yourself on the long flights. What is your experience like? what do you use to pass the time? you know, that sort of thing. I need to add that I love your content and obviously the way you are so raw and honest about travelling. Keep up the good work. BTW I left a Direct message on your Instagram just in case you care to read it. xx
''I hope they don't weigh my bag'' - me everytime I travel because I'm not paying for checked luggage so I totally feel you 😂 Also, I love your packing videos! 👏🏽✨
Call me a b**** but as a gate agent i would check the weight of ur backpack for sure and probably not let u take it as a cabin luggage 🤣 ( that depends if the flight is full or not)
@@Maniuzilla Haha! I'm happy to report that my backpack was checked on my recent trip in Mexico (just like 2-3 weeks ago) and it was ok! Not as heavy as I thought it was haha.
I did the same thing. I bought the iPad Pro for university and then 4 months later I got a MacBook Pro. I literally know the feeling and it's driving the guilty minimalist inside my head crazy to have both.
@@BackpackingBananas Oops. haha. It might be ok. I would look into getting travel insurance that covers electronics just for peace of mind. That's a lot of kit to be walking around with.
I can’t wait to see how things turn out in Mexico. Weekly vlogs to keep us informed and entertained would be awesome... BTW the bum bag is a very useful and I use it quite a bit for my drone
I also had to get glasses for distance in my later twenties. I'm convinced it is from heavy use of screens. Glasses life is a whole new thing. I always have to travel with things to clean the glasses too. It is crazy how dirty they get.
I just got my first glasses at 27 and I'm totally convinced it onset from being in quarantine for 6 months and only staring at my screen for 12 hours and day without looking away! So different to being in the office
36 mins basically means episode so I'm getting some tea haha. The tongue scraper is the best!!! being from an Indian background that's one of the things we use growing up... I've had a fair few of my friends baffled when I showed them! I watch all of your packing videos and every time I'm like how the hell does Christianne pack ALL OF THAT in such a small bag 😂😂
I’m so excited to be following you along this amazing move! You are so inspiring and adventurous I love it! Best of luck! Ps. That filtered water bottle is going to be very practical because even in Mexico City the tap water is NOT drinkable, so good call! 👍🏼
Just wondering how this is all possible travel insurance wise given that Mexico isn't on the U.K. Government's 'safe-list'. Are you just accepting the risk for what it is and effectively travelling without valid insurance? I'd like to take advantage of the current, 'work from home until told otherwise' situation but un-sure about the risks
how many insurances have u checked out. my guess is none. in Denmark all insurances include corona on travel, and same prices as always. also... when moving to another country you get insurance over there instead of travel insurance....
I feel so under prepared. I've lived on the road the past 3 and half years and I Gotta say you've covered every scenario. Enjoy the Move. look forward to seeing how you get on 👌
Just as a warning, don't drink the tap water in Mexico if you can. I live in California and have known countless people that have gotten sick from it. That's crazy you're moving to Mexico! Have fun!

Pants with Zips, omg how did you not share this with me earlier, how did they go and if they were good where do I get me some, hope you had an awesome time xx
You're so disciplined to fit everything in one bag! Is that because you plan to move around a lot while you're in Mexico or you staying in one residence? When I moved abroad for a year I loaded 2 suitcases, and had to post boxes home before my return! No self control when it comes to buying new clothes! What are the virus restrictions like in Mexico? Do you think you'll be able to take up salsa dancing again? ❤️
I plan to stay in perhaps 2-3 places over the course of 6 months, I don't really know though. I just packed life to make my life easier and to make for a cheaper flight lol
Hey 👋. What are you doing about travel insurance rn with Mexico being on the 'no fly' list? We're supposed to be going to stay with our family in cdmx for Xmas 😭
I would move anywhere but have just limited money cannot find a job especislly after virus in UK ...the max they give me on visas is 3 months except India .. great to hear you are getting there and also just use a cheap carry on. Until I go am learning turkish and have gone back to beginning with spanish on free app ... just fun way to learn ..you are a great inspiration and watch all your travels ..spent 7 months last year away ..budgeted in hostels and have enough for 1 more big trip ... you only get 1 life ! my tip to budget ..just get lager and cut out the cocktails saves so much ...
Since I've seen you do it multiple times I guess having your liquids bag barried in your main backpack doesn't pose too big of a hassle. I personally like having my liquids very handy so I can take them out quickly and put them away quickly when I'm going through security!
I love you Channel, i am mexican and i had live in England as well so i can tell you that definetly you can buy similar toiletry things in Mexico City, also if you are looking for your diving shoes you can find cheap ones in decathlon Polanco in Mexico City. I hope you enjoy my country ! Good luck 🥰

I have the same sparkely gold glascase and i do understand you! Its so ugly but at the same time you kind of like it... Also, if its time tsame that i have the siliconbags do leak if you put sopp or overnight oths :(
Ahhhh was so excited to see this pop-up in my notifications as I love all of your packing vids but didn't think you'd necessarily do one for moving to Mexico 😍 You've come a loooong way from the days of the 65 litre Berghaus/Osprey rucksacks stuffed full! 😂
The other bonus with taking everything as hand luggage is you don't have to wait around to get your luggage and there's less chance of it going missing.
I'm really excited to see all the new vlogs and content from Mexico - however I think calling it 'moving' is a little misleading. Long term travel or slow travelling is probably more what it is that you are doing.
Does this pack work for Ryanair? I am traveling around Europe and will probably take a few flights via Ryanair. Considering getting this bag either way!
Love all your videos! Can’t wait to start my own backpacking adventures with your advice and tricks. Could you possibly link the shoes and foldable backpack? Can’t find them anywhere! X
I love how you take the same bag for a 4 month backpacking trip, one week holiday and whole move to another country 😂 So impressed that everything fits!

Yes I'll do this at some point! Maybe as a live video on UA-cam or Instagram so I can answer everyone's questions 😊
I'm also really interested to learn about the paperwork and such, but then again it's a professional interest of mine 😄
You've moved abroad with hand luggage only??? You are absolutely bananas!!
😜🍌🎒✈️🌎
She can obviously still have things sent to her, as she will have an address. Not so cray cray🤷🏽♀️💌

Ahhhh was so excited to see this pop-up in my notifications as I love all of your packing vids but didn't think you'd necessarily do one for moving to Mexico 😍 You've come a loooong way from the days of the 65 litre Berghaus/Osprey rucksacks stuffed full! 😂
Definitely come a long way!!
The other bonus with taking everything as hand luggage is you don't have to wait around to get your luggage and there's less chance of it going missing.
Yesss! As someone who has had their luggage go missing before, I absolutely stand by this 😅
i admire your life so much ugh
I'm really excited to see all the new vlogs and content from Mexico - however I think calling it 'moving' is a little misleading. Long term travel or slow travelling is probably more what it is that you are doing.
I’m so excited for u
I want to move abroad when I’m an adult.
🥳🥳🥳
Does this pack work for Ryanair? I am traveling around Europe and will probably take a few flights via Ryanair. Considering getting this bag either way!
Loved this so much, so helpful!!! Need to know where the black zippered pocket pants are from 😍
Love all your videos! Can’t wait to start my own backpacking adventures with your advice and tricks. Could you possibly link the shoes and foldable backpack? Can’t find them anywhere! X
4:35 ooooh yeaaaaah I need thiiiiiis
How awesome! What state in Mexico are you moving to? Some places can get very cold as its about to be winter!
