Thank you Mike. I have carpel tunnel and have pretty much lost control of my fingers. This style allows me to again make noise ( wife’s opinion). Great idea.
Mike, Just got a banjo and I'm looking really hard at your style. I think I could do this without 10 years of practice. Could you recommend a certain style or songbook/s that would have more of your type of songs? Thank you!!
Now that's what I need! But I need more help? I don't have my left finger Now stay close to me? And I am 87 now it will take time yep but that's all I got now!!! And I love what you do its back in my time! Hope you get back to me just sitting in my rocking chair now!
Charles Swingley I'm with ya Charles if you're just listening great, if you're learning to play you only need something to bar 4 strings 1 finger a thumb a slide as in anything to hold down 4 strings and move at just the 5th and 7th fret
Yes that's what I thought they were singing when I was 12 years old and it seems to pop into my brain once in awhile but I did it over on my Deering Banjo I think it's more accurate I hope
Your voice is a gift. Hope you're enjoying it, as I sure would.
Jim
Thanks Jim I've enjoyed playing and singing at nursing homes for 50yrs glad you enjoyed it 🪕😊🏜
Nice version and fitting that it's played on that instrument since the song was written by Banjo Paterson

Larry so nice to hear this helps you. I'm a firm believer in simplicity why complicate things
Your Waltzing Matilda sounds really good! I'll have a crack at it and see how we go. Cheers Mate, Ray.
I did it over on my Deering Banjo because I didn't have the lyrics quite right the first time.
Brilliant...
I have been struggling to play for a while...
This is a major break through...
Excellent..
Joe
Thanks Joe , just trying to keep things as simple as I can. I'll leave the technical stuff to the pro's
