One thing to note about the Fireball staff vs the Scholar's staff is that the fireball projectile is significantly faster than that of the scholar's. I was using the scholar's staff for quite a while until I got a fireball staff to drop after watching one of your videos and was shocked by just how much better it felt to use. Ignoring the matter of damage, the faster projectile just makes it a more reliable weapon overall.
I appreciate these videos so much, thank you! I do have a question: what would be the build used for the flintlock musket? Out of curiosity to get those one shot hits
I'm curious if anyone has a take on this: I'm currently nearing end game gear, all my gear is lvl 15 and I'm working my way through the bosses. I've been running full iron armor and the iron bow, with rings and neck that give ranged physical damage bonus. I have zero crit chance or crit damage on my gear. It's just a raw base damage build through and through. I've tried other builds that use crit damage, but they just feel so weak. My iron setup just hits like a truck without even critting much. I can't figure out what the advantage of any kind of crit build is, when you are sacrificing such massive amounts of base damage for the crit. Any thoughts?
there's a balance. if you get your crit chance to like 75%+ you will crit with almost every hit. So you may sacrifice raw dmg but with the constant crits you'll end up doing more in the long run. Not as effective on general mobs but you notice it with bosses. Though sometimes it just means the difference of a boss dying in 8 seconds vs 4 seconds. I think the iron ranged build is amazing and works well to the endgame.
in any game with a crit system like this, it'll always be bad until you get a lot of it. it starts really weak and then can grow quite strong. the problem is the in between bits, where basically any other build will do better
technically its not a ranged weapon. It gets its bonus' from mining and melee. But if I was to rank it as a ranged...I think it straddles A and B tiers.
I do have a couple from early access I havent tested since 1.0 launched. I'll test them asap to make sure they're still good and post when I can. So much to do, so little me. =P
Pls make an updated version
Yes needs up date with the arcane staff suncaller staff and obliteration Ray

one use case for grubzooka: it is singlehandedly the fastest thing to clear out the low tier walls, great for major base building and build projects

check out my Sniper Build video for that one.
@@DakonsMadhouse I will, thank you!
Solarite crossbow is 1.4 attack/s so its the same as the bows. Is it actually slower than bows?
no I just misspoke. every other crossbow is slower and I just had that in my head.
@@DakonsMadhouse thanks for the fast response! Wanted to make sure I didn't swap ocatrine bow for something worse
where would u place the arcane staff?
S tier. 100%. its so good.

Crit doesn't come online until you get a lot of sources. This includes nodes on talent tree, gear, pet talents and potions.
Is this have android version?
Mage weapons aren’t ranged weapons because they require mana to use unlike ranged weapons
Old Core Keeper didn't have mana, that's something new
No obliteration ray? :(

@@DakonsMadhouse that correct, I’ve been using it recently with mining suit and it been kicking ass!
