Cargill Fire in Sidney, Ohio

The Sidney Fire Department was called to the Cargill plant in Sidney, Ohio.
When crews arrived at the scene, they discovered smoke coming from the fifth floor, and a large hopper on the first floor was on fire.
Fire crews requested a box alarm, calling in all off-duty firefighters and mutual aid from the Anna Fire Department and Lockington Fire Department.
Crews utilized an elevated master stream to attack the fire on the first floor and a standpipe stream to attack the fire on the fifth floor.
