Just horrible! All the losses and those poor horses and their owner and rescue crews trying to keep them safe. Thank you for all the responders out there helping.
We got millions and billions of dollars for foreign countries and all we don’t have nothing but one helicopter for us here where is the national guard if we have any to prevent and helping the situation?
So sad... all of it :( . Those poor scared animals, The horses seemed so calm thru it all too. Thankfully the chicken & ducks were found! Thank you to all who worked together to save them and all of the countless hours spent trying to save anything possible. :)
Mysteriously they’re all over California many people are losing their homes and they’ll be on the sidewalk because insurance companies gonna leave them high and dry and that’s the plan Stan

I'm in California. I used to live in Southern California, west of where this is happening. It is very sad and shocking. When the Santa Ana winds kick up this badly, this is what happens. I had Santa Ana winds to some extent when I lived down there, but NEVER anywhere close to this extent. I was in both Los Angeles and Orange Counties for 34 years, until moving in 1989. This is SO sad and upsetting to see.
We can’t we’re being left out and dry by government officials we pay very high taxes and we’re supposed to have departments that do preventive measures to prevent this and it looks like you’re doing the opposite
This is just horrible, winds always been a problem in california and the heat too poor animals I hope they get the fire under control 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 stay safe please
Oh my those beautiful horses I just hope and pray for all of them and also the owners and that there all going to be rescued and thought,s and prayers to the many firefighters and the pilots and the people who live up in Ventura county ,,we send our love to everyone ,,I can hardly hold my tears watching this video ,,oh heavenly father Jehovah God may your holy spirit and the angels please help these people ,,
The horses & owners break my heart. I've had horses for over 60 years and lived in fire country. That's our bigggest fear, and then to have your tow vehicle catch fire! 😢😢😢😢😢
Yes, we've had to rescue out horses and helped others here in SD county... Alpine, Del Mar, etc. Rancho San Diego was the most recent. They wouldn't let us in to get the horses, so we stood by, biting our nails in hopes they were ok.
@penelopelgoss2520 We had a fire near here last summer. It got about 3 1/2 miles from my house, but the fire fighters seemed to be winning. My truck was in the shop, and a Tucson won't tow a horse trailer. I was ready to take my horse (I'm mid 70s, and he's a 26 yr old Arabian; my 'friend' for 20 years), WALK out, and let everything burn. They did get it stopped at that distance.
Been through California fires for most of my life. Nothing new in this fire. Been evacuated, been through 400,000 acre fire, had fire burn up to my house before.
Having worked in Culver City thank you engine 41 for answering the call. And thank you to all the first responders throughout the State in and headed towards Ventura County to help.
This is great footage of an awful catastrophe. I can’t imagine fighting a fire in those conditions. Years ago, I graduated from CLU just up the Conejo Grade.
Having friends that have lost there homes is such a devastating thing for them but we always thank god that it was wasn’t their life’s that were lost and nothing happening to them.
Our government has our health/ best interest a priority & protecting the enviroment😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😮😢 the more we finance & tolerate tyranny the linger we be in danger; everything they are like this; detrimental dangerous.....😮😢
I generally watch my UA-cam videos on like 1.5 speed. I thought I already had the video sped up at the beginning because of how fast the flames and wind were blowing! Horrible combination of zero humidity and high winds and drought. Those poor people and animals. ❤️
Just like living on the gulf coast where there is the danger of hurricanes. And tornado alley. You choose to build a house in an area where rainfall is not plentiful no matter what year, you deal with the consequences. Clear away the flamable materials or don't live there.
In some cases the fire starts at the house. In other footage a couple of times the inside of the house starts to burn first. The firefighter they interviewed explained that on shingled roofs embers could get trapped underneath, burn through the insulation and framing and now one of the rooms Inside the house is the first thing to burn. Imagine, you think your house is going to be spared only for a change of wind direction to send embers onto your roof and suddenly there's smoke INSIDE your house 🥺
Because the houses have roofs that embers land on and are made from dry wood, whereas, local , wild brush has a natural water defense. But if you notice in the end, at the burned neighborhoods, nothing was spared. The stuff that WAS spared was just luck. Have a good day
Another CA fire where the 747 airdrops would have made immense difference. The wind is a HUGE hindrance for the small aircraft, both fixed wing and rotary. 😢😮😢😮 so sorry for all the loss. The Woosley, Station, Line, Bridge, and others have hurt us all tremendously. 😢 as the insurance companies continue to cancel policies and no longer even issue them. Is it the same in Tornado Alley? Or those in Hawaii who homes and businesses taken by the volcanoes? 😥😭😡😩🤬

Donate to the Ventura County Humane Society. It's expensive to feed and maintain a horse. They've taken on the task to care for these horses who some owners might be forced to surrender due to losing everything in the fire.

On day one some of these people didn't even have 4 hours notice. Fire started away from any residential area late morning. Winds were so bad out here that within an hour the fire had reached farm land and burned its first structure. It's a weekday, not everyone is going to be at home and able to try to fit what's important into their car and flee.
If you MUST LIVE IN CALIFORNIA, THEN START BUILDING DESALINATION PLANTS ALONG THE COAST IN STRATEGIC PLACES. YOU DONT HAVE ENOUGH WATER TO FIGHT THESE FIRES, AND THEY HAPPEN EVERY YEAR. START USING THE OCEAN WATER TO PUT OUT THESE FIRES!!! YOU COULD EVEN HAVE ENOUGH WATER TO BUILD INLAND WATER LAKES IN VARIOUS AREAS TO HELP IMMEDIATE WATER SUPPLIES. I WOULDN'T PUT MY FAMILY AND DEFINITELY MY ANIMALS THROUGH THAT HORRIFIC NIGHTMARE. IT'S TOO EXPENSIVE AND NOT WORTH THE CHANCE OF "IF OR WHEN" IT'S GOING TO HAPPEN!! CLIMATE CHANGE HAS CHANGED THE GLORIOUS LIFESTYLE OF LIVING OUT WEST!! HOW MANY FIRES WILL IT TAKE TO GET YOUR ATTENTION!! IF YOU HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY, MOVE SOMEWHERE ELSE, AND JUST GO VISIT CALIFORNIA!! WE ARE ALL PRAYING FOR YOUR SAFETY.
Ummmm salt water puts out fires. LOL. No one wants to be a FF or LEO in that state. And it’s my HOME. The resources just aren’t there for this uncontrollable event, even though it happens repeatedly. Weather phenomenon happens in every country and capacity repeatedly. So trying to choose a place that is immune from natural disasters is like playing Russian Roulette. Think before you type
You're assuming you'd be at home when you needed to evacuate. Living in S.CA you should know how much commuting a lot of us do. A lot of people don't even work in the same County they live in. The fire started late morning on a weekday away from any residential area. Propelled by the wind, within an hour it burned the first structure. Some people didn't even make it home in time to watch their house burn, let alone rescue their pet(s). Let's be thankful for the volunteers and neighbors helping neighbors for getting horses, cattle and other logistically challenging animals rescued.
