Ikr?! So many guys, still though, treat rejection as the worst possible scenario. That’s a big part of why I feel they are drawn to these PUAs (believe me, because I was once too, as a dumb impressionable and self-conscious teen), because they present their customers with these formulas that, supposedly, will guarantee success the majority of the time. As in, “If you do ________, then she’ll definitely sleep with you/date you”, instead of teaching men the logical thing, which is that the outcome doesn’t matter, because you’re great regardless of whether she says yes or no, and so, it’s not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. I’m coming at this from my own journey of finally waking up to the horrible advice of certain people/coaches I listened to once, who tried to feed me these bullshit systems for how to get success with women (side note, I’m bi, so it’s funny that so many guy dating coaches don’t talk about how men can maybe get other men), and whose advice never helped, and stopping listening to them and finding a community of people (and an actual GOOD dating coach named Anthony Recenello) who actually knew what they were talking about, and who helped me come further in my social skills/life than ever. Bottom line, I guess, because I’m rambling a lot, is that I hope those poor guys who have fallen for, or are currently falling for, these shitty coaches’ advice, find a community of wiser people who can actually help them grow socially :)
