This is one helluva episode of TV.
A shout out to the Werewolf reference. That was, indeed, some Wyrm-tainted shit.
The first of the three acts is done, and all I will say is that the quality does not diminish. You're in for one heck of a ride!
Great reaction, i liked how you picked up on a lot of stuff - especially how Vi's actions at the end are understandable, and even at the end tries to go back for Powder.
Silco is a brilliant character, I don't like to call him a bad guy, as his actions make sense to him.. "hurt people, hurt people"
I mean he was set to kill Vandar and Vi and her crew as a move. Kind of bad guy energy there. I still love his character.
@@MegaReacts To be fair, Vander tried killing him first, AND his goal of making the underground a place separate from Piltover was never going to work if Vander was still in charge. That's two big moral justifications right there. Him trying to kill the kids was definitely a bad guy move, though, even if he saw it as necessary.
Jason Spisak, Silco`s voice actor, said in an interview "A villain is often a hero of a different story. What makes Shakespeare so beloved as a playwright years after his death is the fact his characters aren`t just cookie cutter heroes and villains, they are much more layered and human than that so even though Shakespeare`s language is outdated, his understanding of characters and story structure very much isn`t. The victors almost always write the stories which means the villains are often the losers."
@@MegaReactsvander did betray him and tried to kill him, Vander created a villain. Silco didn’t just up and thought “ oh let me just be evil today because I feel like it” c’mon now, start analyzing characters or else your channel isn’t going to go.
You have to remember that you have the context of the entire show.
Enjoying your reactions. Thanks for all your time and effort to entertain us! This episode really is one of the best in television history, if you ask me. Everyone making this show was at the top of their game and locked-in.
I also dig the vaporwave "Anvil of Crom" you use for your closing music.
The way you're on your way to watching both the end of Arcane and Babylon 5 around the same time, you're about to be a new person after the end of both these shows lol
There is one way.to show how much you liked the episodes react faster don't make us wait too lol great job man
I have finished the show. Just need to edit for YT.
@@MegaReacts freaking awsome show i watched ut 3 years ago I think now it's still killing me waiting for season 2
Silco is the GOAT, right next to Darth Vader
Don't worry, we're all on the bad guys' side, lol. I love Silco as a villain.
Piltover and Zaun were originally two tribes that broke off from a singular tribe that both worshipped the wind spirit Janna. The Southern tribe called Oshra`Va Zaun was the poorer tribe that settled the Southern half of the city which bordered mining colonies and fissures in Valoran and Shurima which are similar to New York and Egypt in our world. The Northern tribe(Kha`zhun)united with merchant clans from Noxus and Ionia to strike it rich and founded the Council of Piltover and the Chem-Barons of Zaun through the Sun Gates on the Shuriman border.Over time, Zaun`s mines fell into disrepair and the lower half fell into Piltover`s sewage lanes and all of the upper city`s undesirables(The poor, criminals, mages, Yordles, mad scientists, terrorists, street punks etc.) were exiled there, leaving it a crime-ridden, polluted, impoverished wasteland.
One thing to note about Arcane, and possibly League since I don't see why this would be different:
Chembarons came into existence a _long_ while after the collapse. Their namesake (chemtech) was invented a bit after people already started thinking of the halves as separate. After the poverty already got people desperate, the chance to get wealth by any means immediately interested some of the less altruistic Zaunites.
While it's not important by any means, your mention of the chembarons is technically a spoiler.
@@smileyhappyface5864 What do you think Silco is?
@@aspieanarchist5439 If you are talking about the first part of my comment, my statement still stands. Silco was born in the undercity, and because he is the first chembaron to exist, that still puts the creation of chembarons _way_ after the physical separation of the two cities.
If you are responding to me saying it's a spoiler, then that's a good point lmao. I don't know why I added that.
@@smileyhappyface5864 We don`t know Silco was the first Chem-Baron, there were probably a few he worked for back when he was still a Zaunite thug and revolutionary rising through the ranks of Undercity power.
@@aspieanarchist5439 Even if the general idea that chembarons represent already existed (money-hungry authorities that may or may not own slaves), the "chem" in chembaron wasn't a thing until pretty recently in the timeline. It's a term that had no reason to be coined until chemtech was invented.
Before the collapse, the undercity was just a mining zone, and the money they got from collecting the gasses in the fissures was Piltover's money, so even if the chembarons somehow existed, they'd be an unnecessary middle man.
There were no "ranks of undercity power" that existed until act 2. In act 1, Vander is the undisputed boss/leader until his deal got people upset, and even then he was replaced by another person accepted as the boss/leader. Silco says himself that he put the chembarons in their positions of power so there's no reason to believe they were a thing before him.
This season is a masterpiece. A great reaction. Hope you get to Invincible sometime its also a amazing series. Also like to see you do the original avatar the last airbender series
You are SOOOOOO lucky season 2 is close.
Welcome aboard….dont play the game.
