There is an overwhelming amount of peace I get from your weekender trips. We live in a fast pace crazy world and for the 20 minutes of your videos everything slows down and is a breathe of fresh air. For that I say thank you.
Ever since I’ve relocated my family from a big city in TX to a smaller city in AZ. My aspirations to convert to a more minimalist style have grown even stronger. Thanks your channel! Your videos have been very informative so thank you! Keep them coming!
I know I’m not alone in saying that these are my favorite of your content! Thanks for showing us the awesome trips. Your meals have come a long way from the days of hot dogs 😂👊
I enjoy camping and gear and firearms... There are a lot of related UA-cam channels, but yours is my favorite. Your voice and the light background music are relaxing so I often have one of your videos playing while I am working.
Absolutely love these videos. This is what most people do anyways. I love watching the crazy giant overlanding adventures that expedition overland does going to different countries for weeks and weeks and weeks away but almost everyone else doesn’t have all the sponsorships they do can’t afford to do that. Most normal people do weekend trips or even a day trip somewhere so seeing stuff like this and the gear you use and how you do everything is truely the best way to see what works for you and take away from the video.
Your lifestyle is something I strive to achieve someday, I am saving for a 4Runner right now and I hope my adventures can start rolling! Thank you for inspiring me and so many others to get out and do what they love! Amazing content man👌🏼
That truck is SICK !!! I have been looking at new Tacoma's, simply to carry dirtbikes and mountainbikes but, having that itch to roadtrip and camp too, this layout / combo makes it all possible. Thanks for sharing !
I liked it! That area looked like above Fairplay . Know you have been up there before. Just got done with my 2006 Tundra platform bed and drawers. Will now hurry-up and equip it and hit the mountains for camping and fishing. Wish my wife was as hardy as Ashley, shorts at that altitude, real mountain woman material. Can't wait to see more camping and 4x4ing.
As a Colorado owner I can positively say that Tacoma owners know how to build their trucks! I wish more Colorado owners would build their trucks like this.
RE: the CheezHead wrapper: I've taken to always carrying grocery bags in my truck, as I started doing something that I learned from SwellRunner: every stop, whether it's a bathroom stop, picture stop, meal stop, whatever stop, i and each passenger try to pick up at least 10 pieces of trash each. Sometimes it's easy, especially at well-known parks. Other times I struggle to find even a cigarette butt or spent .22 casing. As you say, "Don't be trash." One random wrapper, while still not good, I know how windy it gets on those peaks and sometimes a piece will get away, I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt on that. But when there's a bunch of trash thats obviously from the same party, or worse: that trip a while back that freaked Ash out, where some dummy had "seeded" the fire ring with un-spent ammo? No bueno. Those are the kinds of people that end up getting areas and roads closed. EDIT TO ADD: Wrote this comment with the video paused right after the you found wrapper, then later you mention that trip when talking about the chairs...
Don't worry, here in New Zealand our days are now getting a bit longer everyday! Just think of us having our turn in the sun when you feel bad! Sharing is caring!
Im sure im way late but all the dudes from KC are awesome. I have the same arrangement on my rubicon, flex bar in the front and a pro6 on the roof. great set up man. welcome to the KC family !
It feels good to watch a camping trip from you again. Its been so long I can see how atreyu has aged. And holy crap. Coconut jasmin rice! gotta check that out.
Your style make me want to get back into video editing and adventure life again! Buying another truck at years end. Lmao I can tell you two are goofy together but she’s definitely camera shy so you are slick with it! Fun video and thanks for taking us out of our day to experience this with you!
Don't let the shorter days get you down: You live a very enviable and fortunate lifestyle from what you have posted about your life to date. Enjoy every moment you have (advice from an "Oldster").
Stoked to see a new Weekenderlander! I love your content, but this series is my favorite. It always gets me excited about my truck and getting it trip worthy for the fam. We were just talking about a road trip to visit family in Colorado next year, we may have to throw in some camp outs!
Like this video especially the way it was shot and edited. Nice landscaping too you guys had a nice overland trip. The lights on the rig our great once you set them up I’d like to see how the dimming switch works. Great job guys happy camping.
Seeing this makes me so jelly! I deliver for UPS so work so dam much right now. But when I get the time I want to go out for a few nights like this! Glad I'm part of the taco family now lol.
Awesome man for taking care of your environment by picking up trash even though it’s someone else’s ignorance! My family when we go to a beach to enjoy our environment we do a sweep (cleanup for trash) before we do anything and then another one before we leave, leaving only footsteps in the sand. If everyone took care of their trash... this planet would be in a better place. And would be a more beautiful place.
Great video! Love adventure vlogs. My husband and I are 22 and live on our sailboat, preparing to sail around the world. Maybe we will cross paths someday! Stay safe
Awesome video brother, been dying for a new weekenderlander and it is amazing. Love the upgrades to the truck lighting and those new rims, black rhino is definitely one of my favorites for wheel designs. Great stuff man, glad you guys are well, take care
Nice to see you still have the Tacoma. It looks like a lot of other prominent UA-camrs switching away from Taco/4Runner , nice to see you staying true to your roots. I think you should SAS it and blow everyone's minds, lol.
@@LastLineOfDefense okay. Well, as long as I've been aware of your channel that's what you've had, so that's what I was referring to. I didn't know what you had before the Taco. I know you have an 80 too, that thing is badass, the 80 is pretty much the ultimate Toyota in my book.
Were taking off for roadtrip and I never really realize how much stuff we gotta take . Between the wife's stuff my Camera gear and Flyfishing gear I have . Then all clothes luggage etc lol. Just crazy but I guess making the memories are what we live for . Us 2 and 3 dogs in a teardrop trailer should be interesting and fun . It will get her 1st hand experience staying in my toy .
I'm only 2 minutes in and I'm loving it, by the way I hope you don't mind but I called Diamondback Covers and told the manager that I was sold on the HD cover for my Ram after watching your video. Now with 3 big pups, i'm going to skip the RTT and go old school with the White-Ducks Canvas Tent and this way I can use the ATV side mount on the HD cover.
I recently drove from Boston to California in my TJ wrangler (videos in my channel), and Colorado (and Utah) were hands down the most gorgeous states I've ever seen. It was my first time in either state and damn I see why so many people are moving there... This video was awesome by the way!
yes please do a video on the switch pros. Was watching while eating but that meal y'all made was making me hungrier lol love the vids man, keep em coming!
I've heard you can put kitty litter in a sock or panty hose and use it to absorb moisture in the air. If you sleep in your car a lot, can use it to keep the windows from fogging up.
Enjoyed the camping video! Ya elevation gets me breathing hard everytime! I also loved the clarification on the pickel! Thats something my wife would do!
dude you kill it! about 3-4 years ago was in san fran airport and turned around and started walked, literally crossed paths with you. didnt say anything cause i was like wait. is that LLOD i follow? shoulda said somethin. anyways total inspiration man love your videos. look forward to seeing the weekender series all the time. want to build out a truck. thanks man, all your gear recommendations are key
Bruh ain't nothin more LIT than those Jimmy Dean breakfast bowls. Wife rags me every time cause she says they're so expensive for what you get, but I don't care they're worth it every damn time.
And she eats #Sriracha. Awesome. Glad you guys were able to get out and do some camping during these crazy times. Do you ever have a fire when you go out camping? Looking forward to the next vid.
Skycamper und Insta find ich schon mal Klasse. Wir sind auch mit beiden unterwegs, kommen nur mit unserem Duster nicht ganz so extrem durchs Gelände. Schönes Video.
That noise you made trying to get your watch out of your sleeve or when turning the lights on... lol... I make noises like that all the time to describe a given situation. My wife calls me the sound effects guys.
Saw that trail still had snow earlier in June, now I know it’s still covered. You should submit an update to bushducks, great place to see trail updates as they open in the spring. I’ll be on that trail once the snow clears
Looks like a good life in beautiful Colorado where I’m planning on visiting someday. My co-worker who sold me his GL1800 bike always praises Colorado for it’s beauty! I live in Texas so it’s a nice ride out to Colorado! It’s amazing when you get to certain elevation and suddenly no trees grow! I think it’s around mid 9k feet?
Awesome to see you two back out on the trails! I was excited when I saw the email notification come through, but I'm sure not as excited as you were to be able to get out there.
There is an overwhelming amount of peace I get from your weekender trips. We live in a fast pace crazy world and for the 20 minutes of your videos everything slows down and is a breathe of fresh air. For that I say thank you.
although we live on our boat, we ffind comfort in these land adventure videos

Appreciate the kind words, and I'm glad they give you a little respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life!

I've been watching your videos recently and I have to say, they really make me want to get back out there again. Thank you!!

Oh I still enjoy a good hot dog when I'm out camping, haha
Ashley's meals always look soooo good
I enjoy camping and gear and firearms... There are a lot of related UA-cam channels, but yours is my favorite. Your voice and the light background music are relaxing so I often have one of your videos playing while I am working.
Love that you pick up others trash. My wife and I do the same when we go camping.
Everyone should do this please!
@@TheUndergroundbeats people should pick up their own trash. How about that? Wish everyone packed out what they pack in!
This is a common “leave no trace” guideline they hammered into our heads in Scouts. “Leave the camp cleaner than you found it”
When he said "let's go camping " every subscriber broke out in cheer and celebration like after V-Day😁😁🥳🥳🥳
I love you for encouraging people to pick up trash. Momma earth appreciates it
You're photo's are great man. Just found you're channel and I'm digging you're style, thanks for the great content. Fruita, Colorado.
This last half hour is how I'll round out my evening before bed. It's the perfect tranquility my brain needs to finish off the day, and >relax
Finally!! Another episode of Weekenderlander!!! Thanks Mike, always love watching these!
Lol love it. My wife and I do the same thing. Nothing like being away and watching a good ole movie baby lol
Yes!!! Finally a new weekend lander video!!. As always the wife and I enjoyed it ...thanks Mike

You seem so happy doing this stuff and having Ashley with you. Congratulations and best wishes.
Rigs looking good! Glad you guys finally got back out. Looked peaceful out there.
I still cannot fathom how vast and beautiful the valleys are in Colorado. It is ridiculously breathtaking.
Always nice having a camping video! Makes my day and life so much better
Your videos are always amazing. The way you film and put the music with the scenery. Always on point.
That truck is SICK !!! I have been looking at new Tacoma's, simply to carry dirtbikes and mountainbikes but, having that itch to roadtrip and camp too, this layout / combo makes it all possible. Thanks for sharing !
Neat to know you can still find a place where there is none or very little trash. Cool.
Loved your video! Thank you for taking us with you on your WEEKENDERLANDER trip! It is always beautiful!
iKamper is giving away a pad which prevents condensation under the mattress for free. Ask your dealer for one. Anyway, happy camping!
Great photos, great length of video, great spot. Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Very relaxing! Keep up the good work Mike.

Great tip about putting something under the mattress! I’m going to try that thanks!
Thanks for another enjoyable video. Great to see you back out on the trail after quarantine.
Thanks for watching!

What a transition. “Everyday from here on I’ll get more and more depressed.... ok let’s cook some food!”
Loooooove these weekender videos! My wife and I are ready to take out the Tacoma and go camping!

The lens on the GoPro during the water crossing kinda made your taco look like a side by side. Loved it.
I just discovered your channel but instantly subscribed! Thanks for a great video and look forward to many more

The tacoma truck looks amazing !!!!!!!!!
That 70-200 is a beast! Always love the photo break

A very beautyful Video .Perfekt RESPEKT
Man love it. Inspired me to start getting out there with my wife and son. Gotta get a bit more equipped on my tacoma trail edition though.
Just saved up enough money from my deployment and bought my first Tacoma yesterday! 2020 in quicksand tan. I will be home in 4 weeks to drive it!
Congrats, thanks for your service, and stay safe out there!

Mike, what was the app you used for the terrain and elevation at 4:57 in the video?
That's Gaia GPS. Its an awesome app
Jesse Moree thanks! 👍🏼
Awesome video as always! So jealous of your real mountains. Here in TN we get excited when we camp at 4,000 feet. lol
