Every time I listen to you both I get a deep sense of how decent you are....to each other, to us to the world at large. Of all of the conversations I have watched, I think this this one is very important because it shows the "Paul" (either/or) and the "James" (both/and) perspectives to be the source of difficulties in the emerging church.

Thank you Mr Deleoco, Your understanding is so clear and is what I understand as well. I love the way you string words together to make it plain for those seekers of God's plan. Yes, one of the angels that spoke to Ron told Ron to have the chromosome test done. The results were not expected by those techs as you have said and is why Ron knew he should be there. I often think of the beginning an old Arlo Guthrie song : Inch by inch, row by row, I'm going to make this garden grow and for sure that is how God has worked in my life little by little with all my faults and sins.

The following is a repost of what I stated earlier so that others may understand the Subject: Ron Wyatt testimony and archeological finds; Which is the subject that is being referred to in your response above.
      Repost:
This statement may not mean anything to some who have not known about the WYATT finds which started his journey to find Noahs Ark in the 1970's. If you listen to Wyatt's first-hand information, you will find the logical, credible evidence of His actions. (don't start listening to peoples that talk about Ron Wyatt, that is third hand and details are lost or embellished in emotion).
Now I will not try to distort the perspective on the BLOOD sample.
...when Ron Wyatt had the BLOOD analyzed, he asked the Lab to process the sample and obvious the blood was dry. The Lab Techs agreed to follow the process even though they felt it would not reveal anything more than just blood. Ron stated to them that he wanted to be there when they processed (analyzed) the blood.
On the day appointed Ron came back to the Lab and the sample was viewed. The Lab Tech in bewilderment asked "..whose blood is this.." Ron Wyatt stated to them it is the BLOOD OF YOUR MESSIAH!"
In other words, the dry blood sample now with the LABORATORY procedures was not only reconstituted, but was ALIVE and the Chromosomes were available for depiction for the Lab to verify.
THIS IS WHY IT IS IMPORTANT FOR ALL TO GO AND SEEK OUT THE FIRST-HAND TESTIMONY OF RON WYATT's WORDS AND THE VARIOUS SETTINGS THAT HE GAVE SUCH TESTIMONY, the nuances give tremendous meaning to that specific Lab encounter... then everything else makes sense.
Finally, my perception of Ron Wyatt is not much different than that of Moses... just a man with a lot of problems not sure what is GOD's direction but Seeking Diligently and learning along the way. GOD leads those that humble themselves before a LIVING GOD.
      End Repost🛑

When I was in the church we were taught that we were no longer under the law that we were saved by grace and going to heaven. After I started going to a Messianic group I came to a lot of different conclusions. Was the Torah done away with. The answer to that is no. Yeshua even went so far as to say that to hate someone is the same as murder and that to look at a woman with lust in your heart is the same as adultery. That sounds more like fulfilling than doing away with especially when you look at the word fulfilling as filling to the fullest. And that takes away the confusion because confusions of the devil anyway. When Paul was talking about the lowering of the sheet and the clean foods and the unclean foods. He was referring to Jews and gentiles, that if the gentiles came they were to be received with love. Paul knew scripture. God had already called out what He considered food and what wasn't considered food was called unclean. God doesn't change His mind and neither did Paul. All it is is people looking to be lawless and disobedient. Yeshua told us to take up our cross and follow Him. He said we were to love the Lord our God with all our heart with all our mind and with all our strength and love our neighbor as ourself. The first four of the ten Commandments fall under the first part of those two Commandments and the last six of the ten Commandments fall into the second part about our neighbor. So that wasn't deleted. It was refined so that we could see how much more pure it was supposed to be than the way we thought it was. And it's not on demand. It is I love you God you have done so much for me I can never repay you and I will trust in you and do the best that I can to follow the laws that you've laid out for me to live by. It's a I love you I want to spend all my time with you and learn all about you so that I can live pleasing in your sight. It's not about us it's about Him. It's not about heaven it's about relationship with a loving father that wants to restore us to what we were in the garden before the fall.

It’s important to make a distinction here, Paul is saying circumcision is nothing in the sense it doesn’t bring salvation. The Jews back then believed that just because they were Abraham’s seed they would get salvation. So Paul is not saying don’t get circumcised.

@@richardthomas6602 I've been thinking upon these verses about Circumcision and asking myself this question: How can a circumcised man become an uncircumcised man?
How can a man undo the physical procedure?
In another area of the Scriptures it says that Israel is circumcised yet no circumcision of the heart.
Unto Yehovah circumcision of the hearth is what he's looking for and not of the flesh. In this regards Paul is correct then because physical circumcision of the body parts/organs is nothing and if they don't do it (the physical circumcision) it means nothing. Whether Jew or Gentile we need the circumcision of the Heart which is the requirement of Yehovah. Circumcision of the heart is total and complete rendering of self(mind/spirit and body)to Yehovah.

It seems apparent to me that Yeshua’s clarifying statement, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Torah” was necessary to clarify the distinction between his teaching to abandon the “added laws of the Rabbis” from his desire to preserve the Torah. He wanted to make sure people were recognizing that distinction. He was basically saying, “Whoa! I’m not trying to throw the baby out with the bath water here!”
I’m sure it would be natural for some to have interpreted him as some sort of ultra-liberal hippy anarchist, and for others to intentionally paint him with that brush for political purposes. This seems like the least forced answer to me anyway.

Nehemia this is a wonderful episode and since, through your teaching, I learned about the George Howard Hebrew Gospel of Matthew, I have studied it with much excitemtent. However I have come across a statement that I find troubling as I was hoping that we have a piece of the original first century Hebrew heritage of the gospel account in Howard's book. Referring to the Jerusalem Perspective website, David N. Bivin's article 'Has a Hebrew Gospel Been Found?' asks a difficult question. After making the statement: 'It appears to me that the text of Matthew found in Even Bohan is the translation of a fluent Hebrew writer of the medieval period, rather than a revision of an early Hebrew composition, as Howard claims', he goes on to write: 'Matthew 5:18 offers an excellent test case because it contains both highly Hebraic features and signs of Greek editing'.... in particular - (not one letter or dot) which he judges to be: 'probably a reference to a yod and its qotz'. If in fact this reference is to nikud, the text would be reflecting a sixth to tenth century practice, rather than that of the first century. Nehemia, please can you advise what your thinking would be on this critique?

NO ONE EXCEPT Christ EVER KEPT ALL THE LAW. He fulfilled it. The law only produced death because by breaking a single commandment you were judged guilty of all. One the maker of a covenant is deceased the other party is free. When Christ died he freed us from the death the law brought. The covenant through Abraham was a covenant of faith because is faith was counted to him for righteousness. The law condemned all to death Christ gives us life. We till live and keep the Law through faith in Yeshua. All the law and prophets are kept by loving God and our neighbor .

One of the things I learned many years ago is that what means one thing in one language if used in another language can not be expected to mean the same thing. "Matthew 5:17-20 KJV Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." A "jot or tittle" are the symbols or markings found anywhere around a word to help in its use and understanding. To add or take away anything will change its meaning.

I can't thank you enough for these eye-opening teachings. It seems the majority of Christendom has painted themselves into a theological corner, and follow 'another Jesus', which John and Paul warn us about. In Colossians chapter 2, Paul states DOGMA (in the Greek) was nailed to the cross, and argues against returning to those DOGMATISMOS (manmade regulations) that shackled the believers - but Christians don't know the difference between the Oral Torah of the Pharisees and the Written Torah of Moses. When the Messiah repeatedly says, "Go, and Sin NO MORE!", what is the definition of Sin if the Written Torah of Moses has been done away with? Hint: the Torah of Moses has NOT been done away with - and the Pauline Epistles reflect that, if you approach it realizing Paul is deriding the manmade regulations, as the Greek makes no distinction - both Oral and Written Torah usually translate only as 'Law'.

Great detective work on manuscripts. You nailed it Nehemia. You cleared the smoke.
Neither Greek nor Hebrew has what is commonly spoken 'the law AND the prophets'.
The Hebrew of 5:17 in Howard omits 'or the prophets'. It has in v 18 'not one letter or dot shall be abolished from the Torah OR the prophets' which KJV does not have.
In v15 KJV has 'Think not that I am come to destroy the law OR the prophets..' not AND. This is correct by the Greek. This gives a different meaning/ nuance than saying 'laws AND the prophets' as was said in this episode. The implication is that some group may have said (like the Samaritans) that only the Torah was valid/ kosher and the prophets were to be avoided.

My thoughts on "and the Prophets"... As Matthew wrote his gospel in Hebrew, and it was very soon after the events, I suspect he and other followers of Yeshua as the Messiah had not fully yet ~understood~ how Yeshua had fulfilled "the Prophets". My understanding is that Jews at that time did not have "pocket copies" of the Tanach in their possession, and only heard the Hebrew Scriptures read in the synagogues once over a 7 year period of time. So it would have taken TIME to realize the fulfillment of the Prophets in His life, death, resurrection, and giving of the Holy Spirit, during His "acceptable year of the LORD" ministry. Thank you for ALL you do!

Loved that first scripture Matthew 5 that Keith quoted. Yup, and how many are there that let this very important scripture go over their heads because they are " under grace. ". No way, We are to understand that not one jot or tittle will pass from the Law. The Law was put in the Most Holy Place in the Arc of the Covenant where the Blood of Messiah anointed the Mercy Seat to provide atonement for sin if one believes what Ron Wyatt said and I do ! He was no liar. The devil is going to hang on his own gallows.

Ron Wyatt was no liar? Ron testified that he saw the 2 tablets of stone. He then testified that they only had the 10 commandments written on them.
Yet Exodus 24:12 specificly states that the 2 tablets of stone had "ALL OF TJE LAW and commandments written on the 2 stones, on FRONT AND BACK".
Ron didnt account for this. When I asked his wife about this descepencey, it put her on the spot, they were unaware of Exodus 24:12, and could not answer the question.
You see, Ron wyatt didnt believe in keeping the law of God. He taught that it was done away with. If he would have testified that ALL OF THE LAW was written on the 2 stone tablets, he would have been publicly acknowledging that he was a liar who did not keep them or want them for guidance.
There is a REASON Ton Wyatt and corrupt Christian's refuse to achknowledge that ALL OF THE LAW was written on those 2 tablets. They are deceivers.

But again Nehemia isn't leading people astray. I have never heard Nehemia teach doctrine; only the pure words of the Scriptures and better than most I might add. What he has explained here in this segment is something all believers SHOULD hear loud and clear! Because many claim falsely (and due to false doctrinal teachings) that Yeshua came to free them from the responsibility to obey the instructions of The Father! those doctrines are the ones we should be wary of. The doctrinal teachings that lead people away from knowing the beautiful instructions and patterns of The King of the universe and understanding them in the original context are the doctrines we should all be made aware of and clearly be on our toes.

Just like the Pharisees did before, one of the worst offenders was changing the name of the Almighty to "The Lord." This allowed them to have a leader with the title of Holy Father who could have the ultimate saying in the church, even above their god. It is believed that Torah harder to be understood than Paul's deduction just because lack of knowledge of history. One problem the present church can not answer me is that:if Torah refreshed, which verse was cancelled and which verse is still valid? Listen to whom? What is standard of this refreshing? They may answer it is Jesus' love. Then is there no love from Jehova in Torah?
So if can't explicitly explain this refreshing, then only left "just believe in Jesus then can go to heaven" this simple education.

Eager to invent supposed contradictions, some have claimed that James’ letter encouraging faith by works nullifies Paul’s writings regarding salvation by faith and not by works. However, the context reveals that James refers to faith supported by works, not just words, whereas Paul clearly means works of the Law. Actually, James supplements the arguments of Paul, going one step further by defining how faith is made manifest. James’ counsel is most practical in its coverage of the day-to-day problems of the Christian.
Some had fallen into the snare of looking to those more prominent and rich and showing favoritism. (Jas 2:1-9) They failed to discern what they really were in God’s eyes and were hearers of the word but not doers. (1:22-27) They had begun to use their tongues wrongly, and their cravings for sensual pleasure were causing fights among them. (3:2-12; 4:1-3) Their desire for material things had brought some into the position of being friends of the world and therefore, not chaste virgins, but spiritual “adulteresses,” at enmity with God.-4:4-6.
James corrected them on the matter of being doers as well as hearers by showing from Scriptural examples that a man having real faith would manifest it by works in harmony with his faith. For example, one having true faith would not say to a brother naked and lacking food, “Go in peace, keep warm and well fed,” and not give him the necessities. (Jas 2:14-26) Here James was not contradicting Paul by saying that one could earn salvation by works. Rather, he accepts faith as the basis for salvation but points out that there cannot be genuine faith that does not produce good works. This is in harmony with Paul’s description of the fruitage of the spirit, at Galatians 5:22-24, and his counsel to put on the new personality, at Ephesians 4:22-24 and Colossians 3:5-10, as well as his admonition to do good and share with others, at Hebrews 13:16.

Doesn't it make more sense that the other manuscripts preceded Q and the scribe of Q accidentally left out the phrase? If he is copying from the others and accidentally left out the phrase "and the prophets" then putting it above the line to add it back in, also solves where he got it.

Interesting…however it’s possible the Jewish scribes of these copies of Matthew removed the phrase “and the prophets” from the text to lessen the idea that Jesus is the Messiah. What if “K” is older than “Q”??? That would mean the scribe of Q removed the 4 words when copying from K. Either way, none of the Hebrew manuscripts mentioned are even close to the oldest Greek copies we have of Matthew, which all include the Greek phrase “and the prophets”, with no textual variation between them. The oldest extent version of Matthew that we have is in Syriac…. It also includes the phrase, and agrees with the Greek.

Love both of you bros. Nehemiah has come a long way. I sometimes imagine being next to Yahshuah 2k years ago, just observing all that's transpiring all around him. I see hard headed Peter, lovable John, over zealous Jews of the Torah (the leaders) and the common people as well. As I try to analyze each group, it's hard to put into words, but here goes. First to the leaders. I see they think that by following laws (rules), they have salvation (righteousness) in their works. But question? What made Abraham righteous? He didn't have the law ! He had a relationship with God.
To the Peter's of the world. You ever go back on your promise (your word) to anyone? He denied Christ. To the John's. Mans love is not forever. Love and marriage one minute, divorce and hate the next. I once told my nephew, I don't like or need the law, he said, well what do we do just throw it away? I said no the people needs it, because chaos would transpire without it. But I know better because my dad taught me well. I think morals go a long way.
This generation has laws 2024 now. But I see chaos all around. Alot of people without both parents, lack of morals is everywhere.
Way back in the day, they had priest - prophets to go to God for the people. The had faith in God. Elohim Yhwh. So the people depended on the righteousness of priests ect. They sacrificed animals on their behalf. Well me as a believer in Christ I depend on his sacrifice for my righteousness. Not my own righteousness. So even though I don't need the law, the unsaved do need it. For I have been saved by the blood of the Lamb YHWH.🙏

I think a lot of religious people do not understand the deeper things, and with a surface knowledge they think that if you stop doing some action, like sacrificing rams, that you stop practicing the religion, because to them that is the religion ...a bunch of motions.
Let me ask you. Why did the Jews sacrifice animals? Was it not for forgiveness? Paul explained all of this very well in Hebrews chapter 9. So when Jesus, a perfect sacrifice for our imperfection, cleansed us, there is no more need of animals which only forshadowed him. Jesus isn't just coming along and saying, "okay everyone, stop the sacrifices." He provided his own perfect life for a sacrifice and after that no others were needed. The animals and temple arrangement foreshadowed and pointed forward to the reality that would take place, so that God's people could be ready for it and understand it when it happened - understand the need for forgiveness and the need for blood to be shed, and the need for a perfect sacrifice (Psalm 49: 8).
But fleshly thinkers do not think about this bigger picture, they just think: "We don't sacrifice humans at God's temple, and why would we stop sacrificing animals as Moses commanded?"
In Jesus' Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5: 1 through 7: 29), Jesus brokedown aspects of the law and taught them the fundamental principles behind them. Not only should you not commit adultery, you should not even let your eyes dwell on a woman to begin to have a lust for her (Matthew 5: 27-28). This is not abolishing the Law, it is giving a better Law.
"Instead of bronze I will bring gold,
and instead of iron I will bring silver,
    and instead of wood, bronze,
    and instead of stones, iron.
And I will make peace your administrators
    and righteousness your overseers."
    - Isaiah 60: 17

17 “Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. 18 For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.
I have understood for a while now, that the Law hasn't been done away with due to verse 18. For Matthew writes "until all is accomplished" and according to the Prophets, all isn't accomplished; it is incomplete until the Messiah returns to bring judgement upon the earth.
Once His judgements have been given then it would make sense that the law should pass away, as judgements for all will have been given; the righteous will have been lifted up and the wicked will have been damned.
Then Torah wouldn't be needed, for after the judgement has come if there are people left on this world they will be Godless; if there is even a world left after the day of judgement.

8 But we know that the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully, 9 realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and worldly, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, 10 for the sexually immoral, homosexuals, slave traders, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching, 11 according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted.
In the exact verse you quoted: "9 realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and worldly, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers" it says the law was created for sinners, which we all are.
What this passage is teaching is that the law was not created for someone who is perfect, which none of us are, for we are all tempted and we are all sinners; none of us are free from the guilt of sin, whatever it's nature may be.

Personally I think that you are misrepresenting Paul's message, but that you are right about Christians who do the same. To me Colossians 2 is the most explicit in what Paul is saying about the Law. He talks about "ordinances" (KJV)/regulations and then ties that into kosher elements of the law all while driving the circumcision vs. uncircumcision home (remember, he circumcised Timothy but that Barnabas didn't feel it necessary so he wasn't against it). He then talks about these ordinances not having any bearing on things that cause sensualities, thereby affirming the Law separate from national identifiers and man made laws.

Further, the research I've been doing clearly shows that the Gentile converts around 50 CE were generally not versed in the Torah as shown at the Jerusalem Council, and if it hadn't been for the Jewish and Roman persecutions and interference (especially banning all Jews from Rome, and later, Jerusalem), they would have had the chance to learn Torah, and the pagan Sun Cults would not have had anywhere near the corrosive theological influence on the various assemblies.
