    Option 1 is the Monorail.
    Option 2 is the Keikyu line.
    And option 3 is the bus.
    The best option depends on your destination in Tokyo, partly on your arrival time, and whether or not you have the JR Pass (Japan Rail Pass).

    Coming in to Tokyo last time, we used the train. Departing, we used the bus. I didn't want to climb up the stairs, change trains and collide with the crowds. We were standing in the bus at 7 am. The old folks were riding it early. It was only one bus ride stop away to get to the stop for the limousine bus. For that trip, I checked out the transportation options going to the hotel and back to the airport. We're arriving in Narita for our next trip but, departing from Haneda. This gives us the chance to check out the changes made in terms of shopping at both airports. It took time to get the itineraries that would allow us to do so. Thanks for this video. It's not the first time to land or depart in/out of Haneda but, first to use the train to get there from Tokyo for our departure.

    Thank you for this, I will visit Japan at the end of April this year, your video guide is very helpful, arigatou gizaimasu..btw I just want to make sure, so we need to buy 2 tickets (Keikyu line and Yamanote line) and we use Keikyu ticket for get in Keikyu line and then put it in the 2 in 1 gate to enter Yamanote line. And buy the ticket again for Yamanote line to Shinjuku then put the ticket to get out from Shinjuku station. Is that correct ?

    • @ONEGOODDREAM
      @ONEGOODDREAM  4 місяці тому

      Thank you so much for watching!🙏 You only need to buy 1 ticket at Haneda Airport (like I did at 6:28 in the video). The ticket is from HANEDA Airport - Shinjuku station, for both Keikyu line and Yamanote line, so you don't have to buy anymore ticket. When you put the ticket in the 2 in 1 gate to Yamanote line, the ticket will come back out. Please take that ticket, keep it and use that same ticket to get out at Shinjuku station. The ticket will not come out at Shinjuku station because that's the final destination. Hope this helps..

If you use the Suica card in Apple Wallet, do you just tap off at the gate using your phone when changing from the kk line and tap on again at the Shinagawa gates when traveling onto Shinjuku? Thanks again for all you work on these videos. They’ve been very valuable.

    • @ONEGOODDREAM

    Thank you for your video. My hotel is closest to Takaracho station of the Asakusa line. Based on google maps, I should take the Keikyu airport line via airport-kyuko aoto. However, I noticed that the map changes from Keikyu line to Asakusa line in Aoto. Does this mean I do not need to transfer and change trains because the Keikyu line automatically changes to Asakusa line? Thank you in advance.

    • @ONEGOODDREAM
      @ONEGOODDREAM  8 місяців тому

      Thank you so much for watching!🙏 yes, that's right. the KEIKYU LINE has a direct train going to Takaracho station. However you need to be careful because not all the trains going to the same direction. so you need to get on the train that goes to Shinagawa direction PLUS it has to go directly to Takaracho (no transfer). to search for the right train, you need a navigation app like Google Maps or Japan Travel. We will be going to Japan in late March 2024. We arrive at Haneda at 5:30 am. I don’t know how long it will take to go through customs. We are staying at a ryokan in Kita Ward. The Akabane Station is the closest train station in that area to the Ryokan. What is the best way to get there? I understand rush hour is from 7:30 to 9:30 am. And that we need to avoid that.

    • @hzx4021
      @hzx4021 4 місяці тому

      Hi, you can either
      1. take the monorail (MO) to Hamamatsucho and then transfer to JR Keihin-Tohoku Line (JK), or
      2. use Keikyu Line (KK) to Shinagawa and then take JR Ueno-Tokyo Line (JT/JU) to Akabane.
      Unfortunately, both routes are very crowded on rush hours as they pass through several mega stations such as Shinagawa, Shinbashi and Tokyo and I think there is no way to avoid those crowds.
      I personally recommend Keikyu to Shinagawa → JR to Akabane since you spend less time on the JR train.

      Actually not so once you land for a country where the primary language is not English, the signage and directions are relatively easy to follow.

    Thank you for this video, very useful!! I ask a question though: our plane will arrive at terminal 3 at 10:30 p.m. on Friday, and we will have to go to Asakusa. the most convenient option is definitely the KEIKYU Line. However, we don't know how long it will actually take us to get out of screening. By routing for that date on google maps the last direct train seems to be at 11:10 p.m. but from the timetable shown at minute 9:00 I see that there seem to be trains until 11:44 p.m. 11:51 p.m., 0:01, 0:13 . Can you confirm that these also go all the way to Asakusa? thank you so much

      @ONEGOODDREAM  6 місяців тому

      Thank you so much for watching!🙏 those do not go directly all the way to Asakusa. I think the latest bus going to Asakusa on a Friday is 11:10pm. it's likely that you might not make it with your arrival time. in that case, you can consider taking the bus instead. fyi:

      if you have a Welcome Suica card, you don't need to buy KK ticket, just tap the card at the ticket gate. only buy a ticket if you don't have any kind of ic card.

      Hi, of course you can buy a shinkansen ticket without a jr pass. you can buy a shinkansen ticket altering arriving in Japan. but if you travel during peak seasons, you should secure the shinkansen ticket in advance. you can buy it online, here's how: ua-cam.com/video/1HanXXUv6y8/v-deo.html

    I am planning take shinkansen from Kyoto to Shinagawa and then take Keikyu Line to Sengakuji station to take Tokyo Metro Subway (Toei Asakusa Line) to Kuramae. In my case, it is opposite direction from your video. Once I get off at Shinagawa JR station, I need to go to transfer gate to Keikyu line (Shinagawa) to take the train to Sengakuji station. Am I correct? Do I just need to buy a ticket of Keikyu line before I head to transfer gate to Keikyu line?

    • @ONEGOODDREAM
      @ONEGOODDREAM  3 місяці тому

      it's a bit different. when you arrive at Shinagawa shinkansen station, you exit the shinkansen station and go to Shinagawa KEIKYU LINE station downstairs (the opposite of this video from 15:44). there's a Keikyu line directly to Kuramae station, depending on time. you need to buy a ticket for the KEIKYU line at Shinagawa Keikyu station before boarding.

    • @ONEGOODDREAM
      @ONEGOODDREAM  7 місяців тому +1

      hi, if there is a direct train, you can stay on that train and get off at Ningyocho station. at the exit, go to the manned gate and showed both of your ticket and pass to the staff, and explained where you got on the train (departure station). that's it. basically, if you want to use the ticket or pass at the automatic gate, it has to have a departure and a arrival station of the same company. for cases like yours, just go to the manned gate.
