NFL Combine 45 Reps At 225lbs Bench Press | New Goal 50 for 2018

- Опубліковано 31 жов 2017
- This is a reminder that in 2018 I'll be going after 50 reps at 225lbs and that I have to put in the work. I've put together a plan that I'll follow that will help me get to the goal. This plan is also going to tie to my 60 squats at 315lbs that I plan on going after.

I think people fail to realize how goddamn strong this really is
Larry wheels says hold his beer
They do
Not really considering he weighs 225 pounds, I'm 195 and I dont even lift weights just calisthenics, however I wanted to see how many reps I could do off 225 at a bodyweight off 195 and I did 33
@@mangococo8429 yah I'm gonna have to see a video of that partner.
@@mangococo8429 good job man you made literally no one give a fuck
I did 225 for 3 reps today only 43 more to beat him
Nice, keep it up brah
Don't worry. Those reps weren't legit. Do 1 right and it's worth more than 100 wrong. He uses momentum, not control. And bouncing the weight off your chest is cheating.
Why you always lying Randy smh
@LJ54 uhhh yeah it is lmao, don't tell me you bench 225 40 times when you know damn well you didn't feel all that weight. Anyone can offset weight! Stop ego lifting. Do it right. I bet you do side bends with a weight in each hand huh lol
Shit randy IM 45 and do 225x15 but when i seen 45 i was humbled
This morning i benched 135lbs for 10 reps and was very proud of myself.
Good stuff
Bro that’s 8 more than I can do at 135. Good job bro
@@omalley16 I can do about 5
@@88_-_88 no one asked jk, good stuff keep it up 👍🏻
Don't be you should feel the exact opposite considering females weigh 135lbs n u should bench your own weight
I just love the sound of some 45s banging together
C.T. Fletcher
It's still yo m--f--n set!!!
The sound of them wheels clanging n banging. Aint nothing like it no where!

That's the sound of work.

You realize Heath Evans was a really good fall back in college and both the NFL right?
His heart actually stopped after each rep but revived after each compression.
That is funny 😁
Hahaha
Loool
Do u even lift bro....
my bench max is 275 at 10 years old
45 reps in a suit and not a spring chicken....this was a legendary feat!
News for you pal that's not a suit hes wearing ,he is just wearing a shirt tie and slacks
@Michael Walters yes he wasnt wearing a suit he took his jacket off so technically it's not a suit pal
Without wearing the jacket, he's really just benching with a dress shirt on. As for the age, it's not uncommon at all for men to continue to add to the weight they can put up into their 40s. But with this amount of weight - while solid - we're not talking about a herculean amount of power needed to do it.
Do any of you guys see how the bar bends when he’s benching? 225 on a standard 45lb bar doesn’t bend. Also Look how thing the bar is. That’s a 15lb bar. He’s not benching 225. He’s benching 195. Look how the bar bends when it hits his chest. No 45lb pound bar bends with 225lb on it. Super fucking fake and lame. Dude is a LIAR LOSR
@@cobbler88 niggas trying to downplay lmao
This is an insane accomplishment, anyone criticizing this man has never repped 225.
See I'm prepping 315 so I can talk my shit
@@joel0990 no matter how much you weigh, 45 reps is crazy
@@joel0990 no its not lol. a little guy or a woman or a child lifting weights is kinda cool. but a strong guy lifting weights in impressive
Smaller organisms/objects have greater relative strength and lower absolute strength than larger ones. If an ant lifting a tiny stick is more impressive to you than an a rhino toppling over car, that's just your subjective interpretation of the basic laws of physics which is neither objectively true or false. But the 2nd caveat is that lifting is generally done relative to your own frame. A bigger (taller) person will be displacing the same object a greater distance than a shorter person (if say they both perform a bench press with the same technique). And a very long-femured person who squats 500lbs to 90 degrees depth and up technically did more work than a short-femured person who squatted the same weight to the same relative depth.
@@joshuavd5194 ur stupid repping 225 that many times isn’t even about strength anymore it’s endurance.. incredible feat
He done that with no warmup and a suit on 👏👏👏
That makes it so much more impressive. What a beast
Excellent point. I never trained in a suit before.
Those plates look and move fake asf
That was a warm up
Nard Dog nah, I don’t think it was fake, you wouldn’t hear the plates move if it was fake, and heath Evans effort and his breathing and face after kinda proves it to be real too
I don't think anyone realizes what just happened right there... 45 reps w 225? 30 is crazy. He definitely deserves a dozen Krispy Kreme
Ryan Boyd yeh I wonder what his 1rm is
The one magical single golden nut probably between 405-445

@@justinb7439 Larry Wheels is a trained bodybuilder tho. Old Heath is just a retired NFL player. Literally doesn't have to lift anything if he doesn't want to, but still throwing that around is nothing short of impressive.
I fancy myself that I'm pretty good at bench press......

The vast majority of adult males in the world would never be able to do 225 one time. That’s just reality.
100% of the time when you can't do something you hate on someone that can. I see the comments kept that tradition.

“She won’t SHUT UP!” -Bill Burr
I like how two men simultaneously told the woman to “shut up” around the 52 second mark and and she just awkwardly claps afterwards. Which is sort of fair. She wasn’t recognizing that lifting heavy pieces of metal is dangerous, and is not a “heckle ok” kind of sports activity. For if you make a guy laugh or lose concentration you could seriously hurt or kill the poor dude. It’s cool that almost everyone else immediately understood that.

Don’t care how much bounce on the chest that was impressive.
Well bounce means momentum and quicker reps, meaning less pressure and therefore less fatigue but 45 is ridiculous

I just benched 225lbs for 2 reps today which is 2 less than what my working sets used to be 10 years ago (4 reps for 3-4 sets). And man was it tough! Maybe he didn't fully lock out, but considering the way the shirt hangs his arms straightened out enough for me to consider those full reps. With a shirt he might have actually locked but the shape of the tricep tapering to the elbow would give the appearance of more bend than there actually was. And some people really need to learn what a bounce is. Those baby bounces at the bottom were not giving him the rebound to put the weight up again. But we all know that the rest position is not on your chest. As for lifting the butt/arching the back, I've always acknowledged that those are cheats intended to turn a flat bench into a decline press. But it IS within the rules to do it, within reason, so I don't have huge problems with it.
@@cobbler88 When you can rep something 25+ times locking out every rep is just a waste of time IMO.

The Girls Slip is surely wet now.
I don't think girls really care that much about how much you can lift.
Unless she actually lifts herself, the number of plates/reps is such an arbitrary number to them.
She just looks at this shit, like how you would look at a woman's hairstyle that's extremely complex, detailed and hard to setup and another chick who has a basic haircut. You probably wouldn't care too much about how much work it took to setup the complex hairstyle cos you don't know anything about that shit.
You'd just go and just bang the one that's hotter.
Likewise with cars. Chicks don't know anything about tuner cars like your supras and shit. They'd just go for a lambo owner.
