Trading news is harder than it may sound. Not only is the reported consensus figure important, but so are the whisper numbers (the unofficial and unpublished forecasts) and any revisions to previous reports. Also, some releases are more important than others; this can be measured in terms of both the significance of the country releasing the data and the importance of the release in relation to the other pieces of data being released at the same time.
When Are Key News Releases?
Figure 1 lists the approximate times (Eastern Time) of the most important economic releases for each of the following countries. These are also the times that players in the forex market pay extra attention to the markets, especially when trading based on news releases.
What Are the Key Releases?
When trading news, you first have to know which releases are actually expected that week. Second, knowing which data is important is also key. Generally speaking, the most important information relates to changes in interest rates, inflation, and economic growth, like retail sales, manufacturing, and industrial production:
1. Interest rate decisions
2. Retail sales
3. Inflation (consumer price or producer price)
4. Unemployment
5. Industrial production
6. Business sentiment surveys
7. Consumer confidence surveys
8. Trade balance
9. Manufacturing sector surveys
Depending on the current state of the economy, the relative importance of these releases may change. For example, unemployment may be more important this month than trade or interest rate decisions. Therefore, it is important to keep on top of what the market is focusing on at the moment.

This not easy as it shown. During news events brokers have Large spread + Large Slippage + Some brokers also have Stop_Level. Due to the Spread your StopLoss get touched or your both Position get opened lot of time and apart from this due to Slippage your trade cannot be executed on right price.

thank you for this awesome video, how can one manage the increase in spread that normally happen during news release.
2. Are there brokers whose spreads do not increase/fluctuate during news release,please recommend if there is.
3. I lost an account in one of the news trades, the difference from the price when the trade was activated and where it hit the stop loss was just 2pips but it blew the account,the amount was way above what a 2pip sl should be.
4. I contacted the support agent of the broker i used and they said it was because of spread

How do you deal with the crazy slippage that happens after news release?
Due to the slippage, you can't NEVER get the exact buystop and sellstop price, and most of the time your TP or SL will be huge.

Please sir kindly clarify . The buy stop and sell stop are 10 pips from the current market price. Also the stop loss is 10 pips from the buy stop which brings it to the current market price. Won't it affect the entry to have your stop loss at current price?
