All good stories have a beginning, a middle and an end.... The Walking Dead had a great beginning and a non stop middle..... No end in sight.... So many episodes seem the same...

Without any chance for hope, why would I want to subject myself to this show. Walking Dead has turned into a soul crushing slogfest that just keeps taking away any semblance of joy and hope from their characters.

I'm not pissed off or grossed out, I'm just bored. I think the pace is downright insulting. Nothing seems to happen for weeks on end. Gave up on the show last season , and from what I've heard there hasn't been much progress.
The producer may dig the show but many former fans find it BORING!!!
I think they have added a lot of commercials and slowed down the plot to the point that I have stopped watching.
we don't watch TWD anymore because Dish and AMC couldn't agree on rates 2 seasons ago...
I think the showrunners feel like now that they've established that the show kills off fan-favorite characters, they do it too often, or at least the deaths they do are predictable, because every time they introduce a likeable character, there's, like, a 75% chance they'll die within a season of their appearance. Not so much now, more like 65%, but still, they need to slow down the character introductions for like an entire season and just focus on the established characters for a while, and maybe have one or two characters die, one likable one at the end of the season and one that is either unlikable or just meh.
What fan of the show gets 7 seasons in then quits because it does something different, love Roxy and Miri. Good points made!

i stopped watching after season 6.. it was like the show had no direction or where they wanted to go and Negan does not intimidate at all after watching opener for 7... plus too many character and the vets where just getting real sloppy after being hardened out there idk..lost its spark
The Walking Dead needs to stop doing episodes where they focus on only one character. As the seasons go by and the world expands... focusing on just one character makes no sense. Last night nearly the entire episode was focused on Eugene whom nobody cares about. I hope they start doing episodes where three or four stories are going on simultaneously.

Carl's Death Literally Destroy Everyone And Ruined "TWD" Forever Entertainment Weekly
The problem is they started censoring the gore... also Glenn's death was secondary... they should have made him sweat more. Also though Jeffrey Dean Morgan has been amazing the dealing with his character has been uneven.

The problem with TWD is that it is basically the same since episode one. There is no plan it just goes on and on and on...
There are some pretty good episodes but most of the time the content we get is pretty shallow.
The show is doing so well bc zombies & violence draw viewers + it makes ppl think "what would I do in a zombieapocalypse".
To be honest it would have been better to stop watching early on but since there will only be one more season I am going to finish it.
I am still a fan of the show. That said it appears the writers and the network are intent on pushing the show for as long as they can. If they haven't already they really need to start mapping out an end arc/ strategy.

She starts off with a false premise. Roxy's assumes from the beginning that the reason people are turning away from the show is because it is "too gross" or going "too far." That is definitely not the case. I've not talked to a single person who has abandoned the show on the grounds of it being too gory. Rather, most of the people, including me, are abandoning the show because any sort of character development has all but stopped. And where are all the zombies? I get that they want to make this show different, but this show has just become like any other post-apocalyptic show.
