Hey girl, you definitely don’t want to miss the first few weeks of uni for your law subjects are they’re hard to catch back up. (I haven’t watched the full video yet) but you have to do the ‘priestly 11’ for law - your first subject should be contracts as that’s the foundation of your degree. You will have ‘core subjects’ as well like academic writing, reasoning skills etc. if I were doing law part time I would 100% recommend doing one law subject and one core subject to start with as legal writing is a different style of writing that will take a few semesters to get used to, and by taking a core subject with a law subject it gives you some breathing room to learn the basics you need for the rest of your legal studies. Do keep doing the law school vlogs. It's an interesting break from the stripper vlogs, and it's a relief to see that you aren't pigeonholed to the one job/industry. As much as this first week has been a hassle I hope you keep at it & bring us along with you. Good luck!

I've always said that employers value college degrees not because of the material you learn but because you can figure out how to navigate the process of actually attending a university in the first place!

Just know that this IS your job - attending university and getting an advanced degree is first about the student making certain they are paying attention to the smallest details and requirements and following the directions and being what other people would say is over-prepared.
There is never enough parking on the university parking lots and garages. Anywhere.
Even if the syllabus states that textbooks are not mandatory, they are more than likely going to be required.
Read the syllabus before the first day of class and look at all the dates where various assignments will be required to be turned in.
Keep putting one foot in front of the other and try to keep a good attitude - it goes a long way.
I’m a former associate professor at a university in the US.
But even though I’m in a different country, certain things are universal.

yeah...advisors are usually awful. I created excel spreadsheets pretty much seeing what I needed to take each semester from my own research and ask advisors questions, if needed( for internships, more than class registration).believe me, you are not alone in the student struggle. I def support and understand you as returning student as I am one as well. let's get these degrees!

Btw if you boil the vinegar mixture for a few minutes and add it hot/warm to the jar (also might need more salt than what you seemed to add) then this will make it much more "pickley" and also will keep if airtight out of the fridge

I enjoyed this uni vlog day in the life.. that's so frustrating about your current enrolled units and prerequisite units tou need to change over. Can you must have a coordinator or someone you can contact before census date

Enrolments legit are so confusing I had so much trouble getting started - I have made a spreadsheet as a reference I can send you. Good on you for calling them back and chasing it up, so annoying you had to do that!

This uni seems like a bit of a nightmare, I would be a nervous wreck, between the subjects and textbooks, why can't they just clearly tell you the info, what ur meant to research what subjects U need to enrol in? How the hell are U meant to know? Six hours of class U weren't meant to do? I'd be pissed! Ur doing better than I would and yes let's hope it's uphill from here! Also, in busy car parks they say if U circle around for 5 mins someone usually leaves, I found this pretty true🩷

I found uni to be overwhelming at first. It’s a huge adjustment. It’s very much a ‘figure everything out yourself’ system and the student support is crap - which is crazy given how expensive it is. It will get better so hang in there. But three units for part time doesn’t sound right?!
Yeah it’s a bit frustrating 😅 full time for law this semester is actually five subjects x
