Same starter issue with mine, I blew a 400 amp breaker I had on there it was drawing so much. It got worse with time until it died completely unfortunately.
@@DingDongDrift what do u think about the welds on the subframe? some places look tack welded and super flimsy i think i want to weld them and add some reinforcement plates on it 🤔
Hey man good job! you have a LOT of patience haha. I noticed on the "before" subframe those cam bolts were way off from each other lol did you ever feel that driving or was your alignment off?
my whole rear end felt like a floppy crepe and i have no idea what the alignment was doing cz it felt awful and i couldn't adjust it because all the bolts were rusted lol. so yea it was terrible lol, drives like a freaking train now, both noisewise and stability lmao.
i have 2 327 diffs from a gs400 cause i was worried about the final drive ratio for the manual swap. im going bmw zf instead of cd though. glad to see it all coming together sorry the diff is making so much noise. did you make sure you got all your spatter out of the pinion bearing? are you sure you didn't overtighten the pinion? either of those would cause the diff to make alot of noise.
Btw the same thing happened to me with the diff noise I’m pretty sure it’s either the pinion seal/bearing or carrier seal or bearing. U prolly did nothing wrong I think it’s just the old age and the axle angle changing slightly might just irritate it more. Idk the exact cause or fix tho maybe adjusting the preload on the ring and pinion gear🤷🏽♂️I’m tryna figure it out too
I thought the ratio was okay, if your just drifting the car. My car doesn't see the streets so not a big a deal. Also did you use new hardware, them nuts and bolts look mint.
I polished all the bolts and gave them a little blackening with the torch and some oil. I showed the polished in the video. The eccentric bolts i bought all new. About the ratio i was always on the limiter in 2nd and too low in the revs on 3rd when drifting. This lowered everything so 2nd should be perfect for everything for me now.
@@DingDongDrift sorry I didn't dawn on me that the 300 and 400 have diffrent gearing, I have a 300 with a 5.3 cd009 setup, which would explan how my 3rd is fine and yours was a bit "tall"
@@DingDongDrift LOL when I did my upper. I was lay by on my back and using my legs and feet to move the control around to line up the nut so I could use my other hand to turn the bolt. It was like Ju-jitsu twister. Never again. Also, you said your wheel bearing was toast. Did you fix it?

Thank you it means a lot! Just sharing what i know.
I wanna thank you 4 all the vids you do..
Thank you, share it with your friends! Trying to hit 3k subs before the year ends
@@DingDongDrift it should be a crime that you don’t have that already in my opinion..
You can def fit the arms with the subframe in. The bots go in that little recess and there are captured nuts on the part that you cannot reach.
There's no captured nuts anywhere on my subframe
Come drifting to PA my sc400 is almost all dialed in. Trying to get another diff in it for next season.
I wish, i don't have a tow vehicle

Yea i already ordered a new denso starter for $140 lol. Not dealing with unreliability, just fix it
Mirrors super sick
Literally just did this on mine this week too 😂
Silver and red looks sweet as
lmao this is so funny i literally just pulled out a subframe from an sc like 30 min ago and now i see this, maybe its a sign to go solid
lol do it
@@DingDongDrift what do u think about the welds on the subframe? some places look tack welded and super flimsy i think i want to weld them and add some reinforcement plates on it 🤔
I welded some larger seams and holes for that reason but overall it's decent
@@DingDongDrift also how is the 430? is it true these just bolt right on?
Yea i literally changed nothing, the diff i got is the diff i bolted in.
Looks clean af might have to do this soon
Thank you! Definitely do it!
How strong is the diff? Can it take a lot of power
@@H00K-KING we'll find out next year when it's making 600hp
where did you get the bushing kit from?
That one arm was wonky and twisted because of the heat no?

Yea I'm over it and just sending it at this point.
what's the gear ratio on the new diff?
3.26
Were you able to fix the diff issue what was causing the noise? I have the same setup and I hate driving it on the freeway but it’s still fun
I just ignored it lol
It just went away??😂😂

Its that creeper gear baby. :)
LOLOL ya those top rears ARE HORRIBLE. the nut should be attached to the damn subframe. It tests your two finger method
i'm just gonna drop the subframe when i replace the arms lol. not trying to jam my hands in there
