If SR is something you truly enjoy, please don't quit. I love your stuff and I know you are really passionate about making it. As long as you've learned from your mistakes, that's all that matters. I don't think it's worth quitting over. As someone who was about to join that TPOT collab, I forgive you and hope you learn from your mistakes. I think this community really needs to consider that everyone makes mistakes. I said something ableist to someone years ago, and regained the community's respect by bettering myself. Everyone has their moments, and as long as it's nothing heinous or vile, they should be given another chance. You can quit, or not quit. Just please make the choice that will make you the happiest and best possible person you can be.
