Scientists react to their PhD acknowledgments

We asked scientists to reflect on their acknowledgements of their PhD theses, years after they wrote them.

For a reason we can no longer remember, we started reading the acknowledgements section of science PhD theses.
We’d pick them at random from the ANU library and read only that part.
Then, we could not stop - always wanting to read ‘just one more’.
What we found was a kind of poetry.
