    Finally had the opportunity to watch this due to being to hot and humid to be in the gardens. I think this painting is absolutely beautiful. By the way you look so lovely in pink.

    I’m new to the channel and I’m working my way through the beginner acrylics course, but I gotta say that I love watching these later lives when settling in for the night. I work on my knitting and just watch and learn. It’s incredibly soothing. 😊

    Hi Cinnamon!
    QUESTION…

    • @nadiagrace1
      @nadiagrace1 2 місяці тому

      It didn’t let me finish hehe.
      I have (lack of a better word and I apologize) acrylic “retarder” and I’m wondering if it does the same as the satin glaze you use? I find that I get a lot of under binding when I use it.

    • @TheArtSherpa
      @TheArtSherpa  2 місяці тому

      Retarder is the industry term for the medium that makes acrylic paint “Open” the term for how long acrylic is workable before dry. So Retarder won’t glaze but 100% will improve blending and increase the amount of time you have to work the paint. That said it won’t work as a glaze because it’s designed to never dry and it only dries because of the addition of a certain percentage of acrylic so the trick here is to follow the instructions on the ratios. So if it says you can add up to 30% then don’t go to 50 or 60 because the paint may remain tacky and not dry..

      I think I know of whom you speak but it’s still her inperpation of a view. Her method is different than who I think you’re implying.n
