I have a theory about the villagers using emeralds to pay the players. Back when the ancient builders were still around, emeralds were the standard currency. The mineshafts we find in game (besides mesa obviously) were actually emerald mines. This is why the ore is so exceptionally hard to find. The builders almost mined it to extinction, which is why when they discovered the nether and mesas they switched to gold. Villagers trade you emeralds because you look like an ancient builder and they have such a surplus because of the mining fervor back in the day that the only use they have for them anymore is trade with what remains of the ancient builders
That would explain why the mines are full of the rest of ores, they just weren't looking for them.
But piglins like gold instead of villagers

I tried to name tag an Enderman so I could keep it as a pet. It teleported somewhere, prob despawned now, but I could discern from the sounds "Whats up" and "Hey".

Phantom membranes aren't what the Elytra is made from, they're just the closest thing you can find, which is why you can't craft the Elytra.
Elytra is drop of ancient Ender beetle
The Allay thing isn't really a mystery if you have a good eye and vocabulary. Allays are the opposite of Vexes, which Evokers use. Not only do they have very similar models, but "allay" and "vex" are both verbs which are also antonyms-- to allay is to help or relieve, to vex is to harm or frustrate.

Given that many theories state Pillagers as being good at genetic engineering (perhaps making the zombie) It's my theory that vexes are genetically modified Allays, and Pillagers trap them in order the experiment on and convert them.
The secret behind the lore: Illagers practice dark magic - it corrupts everything, including their appearance. Allays aren't just similar to vexes, but vexes are corrupted or undead (ghost) allays. Like the ghast, the vex is immune to the usual things corporeal undead are harmed by, which is why most don't consider the two monsters as undead.
Fun fact, the nether reactor and glowing obsidian were never fully removed. It cannot be obtained normally, but the nether reactor core texture was upgraded along with the texture update

Imagine if the enderman are just people that want to chill with you and they learnt your language just to make friends but they are so shy that when you look at them they attack you.
I believe they’re people from the overworld originally, and they’re terrified of their current form.

3:40 if you played PE with your son or daughter back in those days when the Neather Reactor still existed, you deserve a veterans memorial. Hard to believe that classic block was removed. Some of my son’s old PE worlds still have the Nether Spirals in them, a tribute to the block that was once the gateway to the nether.

I had a couple worlds with spires and reactors left. Then all my worlds got deleted. Needless to say I quit Minecraft on my phone after that

for #3, my guess is that we go faster because we free more souls, making it so less souls grab onto us and drag us
I'm pretty sure illagers trap allays to study them to make similar creatures but evil (vexes)

I have one: There is a lapis block inside of the vindicator statue in a woodland mansion. MatPat's theory on this was that evokers used lapis to mind control villagers and make them into vindicators.
Lapis can also be used as a dye, and last time I checked, Vindicators are the only Illagers with blue eyes. Perhaps the Vindicators Brutish strength comes from the lapis.

Weirdest thing that happend to me (and others) was on a realm, i found some random bread on the floor in a nether cave, but nobody went in the nether before, some people thought i just dropped it there, and forgot, until it happend to someone else to.
Never figured it out, started our own urban legend, the bread man. 😂
What’s weirded me out, is in the major texture update, they updated the netherreactor core texture…never explained why, it has been years and it bothers me to this day (I think it was in 1.14)

Minecraft Legends seems to imply that Illagers were normal, but their violent tendencies never left, which made them the way that they are.
The reason why they capture Allays, is because they’re trying to make the vex.
As for Enderman, they’re believed to be the ancient civilization, evolved into being The Enderman. Considering the chorus fruit teleports the player when eaten, seems to suggest thats where the Enderman got their teleporting abilities.
we voted for the phantom because the other 3 were actually worse, like no one would go to the ocean if you would be sucked down into the bottom of the sea and die before you come back to surface, the wildfire would make the nether fortress unplayable, its either the 1,2 or 3 hardest structure, do you really want a miniboss while fighting blazes, magmacubes and wither skeletons? and the last one is a mob that hides and could just destroy your items, while hidden
Wildfire would have been cool though if it was only in a specific part of the fortress. I dont know how they intended it, but if it was clear you enter the "boss room" before encountering it it could have brought more purpose than farm some heads and rods every now and then.

I think that the reason soul speed speeds us up, is not the enchantment. The enchantment frees the souls, and the souls are rewarding us with speed for setting them free.
Then why would different levels matter, or why would the souls not give a lingering affect?
@@WhisperDeathrayMaybe different levels release more souls there's clearly more than one in a block at least. And maybe the souls don't give a lingering effect because they are finally free to move on from the dimension they've been trapped in so they get the heck outta there!
It's not really "speed" at all. They just stop trying to drag you in, which slowed you down. It's lonely down there...
Releasing souls from the soul sand releases energy. The enchantment uses that to go faster.

Well the souls are holding us back with their hands so we become slower. Then what about soul speed? Why do they release particles which show that souls are being released
Well the soul speed boots probably free the souls which makes sense why we run faster when we use the soul speed enchantment becuz after freeing them the souls in them are happy that they are able to leave so they dont hold the player with hand anymores
Well, 1. Soul Speed enchantment has multiple levels, so why would the levels matter? Each level gives an increased boost of speed
2. What causes you to run faster than normal speed while using soul speed anyway?

@@allateI think what they mean is that as the souls only slow you down , why would releasing more souls make you faster than even regular blocks as releasing souls only leads to them not being able to hold you back.

I personally think that the Elytra is made of the dragon's wings, but since it explodes into many smol green orbs you cannot craft it. Also, my theory is that the world was once populated with thousands of Steves, but then one got a nasty cold and there goes everyone but the player.
Like some kind of deadly virus and the players were the only ones either smart enough to isolate or strong enough to develop the right antibodies?

I think that the souls slow you down, trying to keep you with them. Soul speed frees more souls depending on the level and the mixture of the other Paul’s seeing it and the souls you free help speed you up.
Honestly I think we are freeing the souls and the souls are rewarding us with speed for getting them out of a awful block

My theory about creepers is that their skin is evolved to grow a fungus and when the creeper is frightened it releases a toxic glue through the skin which causes the fungus to combust

Maybe the souls in soul sand latch on to you, crying for help, and that's why we become slow when walking on them, but since we release them with the soul spped enchant, we move faster.

Interesting fact: if you look into enderman's eyes and continue staring at it, it will not attack you and will lose aggro after some time

The mobeaterary has more hints on a solution to some of these mystery. Claiming that Illigers were outcast from the village for their "unspeakable crimes" and that their curiosity with chickens might be part of a chicken spy network, as the mobeasterary claims that "they are not what they seem" (chickens).
on 17. the implication of structures in the end means someone got there before us. These ships having a somewhat resemblance to the overworld ones but skyborn. Means that perhaps they had knowledge of the creation in elytra's and came from the overworld in the ancient day's.
I think the Pilliger origins lore was already shown in Minecraft Legends ?
In the game do see there are 2 Villigers type , one with normal skin and one with grey . When the Piglins invasion happens , the grey villagers has been tired of running away , instead they gather all weapons from defeated piglins and tell " The Hosts "
That they want violence , which of course the normal villager didnt like it so they both have argue which of coursed brought us to pillager
I like to imagine just, the endermen were the ones to make the structures, as they are the ONLY mob that can pick up blocks

In the first myth, you know how illigers capture allays? Well I think I figured it out. In the new updates, Mojang renewed the texture of vexs. I think, the pilligers capture allays (I MEAN the pilligers) to transform them into vexs. I think this because the vexs texture now looks VERY similar to allays.

422 is a super glitch sometimes sneak up on you, give you potion effects, or shave all the leaves in the forest sometime might attack you!
I'm currently theorizing a story on what happened to the Illagers, Villagers, and Ancient Builders, but I can answer a few questions. I think the Elytras are made of Chorus Fiber and Phantom Membrane. However, you as a human do not have the ability to synthesize Chorus Fiber. The Elytras were built for humanoid users (presumably the Ancient Builders). I think the Endermen are Villagers who were corrupted by the Deep Dark (long story). I also think the Dragon Egg is in some form of permanent stasis and is awaiting the delivery of a vital enzyme to hatch, however this enzyme is unknown and currently unharvestable. The egg also teleports to avoid being damaged.

I actually believe there are spirits in the modern versions of Minecraft (but not the old ones for some reason. I've tried to look for them in 1.2.5 and b1.7.3, but they're not there... 🤔)
I've seen nametags appear underground on servers when I'm the only one on, items in chests be moved around in SP, and just recently I started a world in 1.16, I've noticed what look like completely white player models hiding behind trees.
It seems like a really good way to get the attention of these spirits is to mess with villagers in negative ways, like I started seeing the white players after I murdered a wandering trader. I haven't played much of that world, but I'm kinda scared to go back.
The two temples and the strong hold are most likely built by ancient builders, as said, by MatPat, who I would trust with my life

Now i'm not kidding with this one. I was playing multiplayer with a friend on i think it was 1.15? And i found a random unfinished house with a bed and four furnaces and there was a creeper explosion nearby with some loot on the ground like an iron sword and armor and it was not mentioned in the minecraft chat that anyone had died and nobody had joined either.

when i was visiting a younger school to tell them about high school, i saw small kids(presumably primary 2) playing an old version of the game. they were looking at the skins, one of which was herobrine. i heard one of them yell "HERO BRIAN!?!?" also the version they were playing has five nights at winstons characters(a popular game at my school), pretty cool!

The illagers were originally villagers who asked for power to fight the piglins in the legends universe, and the reason the illagers trap allays is so they can transform them into vex
