For anyone wondering, if you run through and do only the campaign quests and save dungeons and delves for later you will run out of campaign quests at level 75 or so and your next campaign quest will require level 80. So side, quests and dungeons and delves while leveling are definitely the best way to go so that when you reach the level 80 quest in the campaign, you are able to pick it up. Just stay busy and do a little of everything during the leveling process. I was only at level 76 just blowing through the campaign and that was with dungeons and delves, but I had only done a few and had done zero side quests. I maybe did four different dungeons and six or seven delves. I honestly prefer those to side questing.
Pro strat for levelling... Only do the campaign quests for the first 2 zones. Do not pick up side quests. Pick up the delve quests but do not do the delve or complete the quest (the xp they give scales on level). 3rd zone, only do campaign quests, however pick up all side quests. Once your campaign quest tells you to go from zone 3 to 4, go back and do all of the side quests in zone 3 in a single swoop. This will make you level 76-77. Then do all delves + delve quests you've been saving. This will put you at 78+. Then go to last zone and do everything. This is the fastest way to level, AND you skip all of the questing traffic jams (and potential lag spikes) in the first 2 zones on launch day. This strategy is what all of the speed runners are doing, and getting around 5-6 hours to hit 80. Enjoy!
WOW 😉👍 Just watched it and looking forward to be at the beach tomorrow! A lot of input but gives me a great idea what to expect! Thank you so much for the time and effort to set up this informative video!
Day 1: Do main story quests, delves, and some side quests. Delves will give Brann XP, making him more powerful. You can only do tier1-3 delves while leveling, so take advantage of the XP for both your first character and Brann. You also absolutely need side quests. Otherwise you’ll be 75-76 in Azj-Kahet, with mobs at 78-80, and quests in previous zones will be green. Don’t make this painful mistake. You also must complete the main story up to chapter 3 in the last zone. This should put you at renown 4 with all factions, and you’ll be able to unlock steady flight. This is when you also get to skip all the intro quests for alts. You can port straight to Dornogal and get weekly leveling quests to do various activities: world quests, snuffling, etc. These give XP and rep. You’ll also have the Dornogal port to the Weaver’s Lair unlocked for ypur alts, who can head down there at 70, making travel much easier.
Do you know how fast it would be to hit level 5 renown for say, the Dornogal faction? I'm at a loss as to figure out the renown speed, and I haven't gotten around to leveling on the beta just yet. Thank you kindly!
@@kingd1486 If you do the campaign and some side quests, you should be close to or at Renown 5. My plan is to speed my first character to 80, then start doing world quest mode for extra rep and XP on my alts. That's why it's important to do the main story quests and hit 80, rather than leveling all your alts a little bit at once. Doing those quests unlocks world quest mode. Edit: Also, no matter how many alts you have, you won't get rep if you do the same world quest on all of them. If you mouse over the world quest on your world map, it'll say "Awards a one-time Warband reputation bonus." So no WQ spamming for rep.

would love to have steadyflying on day 1, asap, as I find it so much better for leveling and being able to hover over areas, mobs, things, etc. Problem is theyve tied it to completing the full campaign and exploring all zones.
Historically queueing for Heroic Dungeon was only available at max level, after achieving a minimum iLvl. In TWW, queueing for Heroic Dungeons is going to be locked until Normal/Heroic Raid unlocks. This is because of the changes they've made to dungeon heroic/mythic0/mythic+ difficulty and their increased rewards. Not being able to queue for Normal Dungeons is weird though.
One thing to point out you do want to get to to spider zone to get the faction rep unlock between the three factions there are the nerubian queen memory events give a good amount of xp for alts as well as the city looks like its going to be grind zone not a big as the cobalt academy ring but yeah
2 Things: From what I've seen and heard Blizz is giving the "Have to get to max level ASAP" people a path to do that thru the main questline. The main quest is simple and streamlined. For those that want more lore and story, there are side quest to fill in the blanks and complete the story of TWW. Is this accurate? The Delves, are they solo only content (you and the follower only) or do they scale to more people? Also id you can and do have say like 3 people in your group doing a delve, do each of us still get a follower so we can power them up or do the followers deactivate if there are more than one person doing the delve?

While leveling, I'm going to pick up gathering quests. I'd say Mining + Herbalism or Skinning. It looks like there's less beasts outside in this expansion. More Humanoids and Elementals, etc... So mining and Herbs seems like the way to go. Once you're max level, you'll have a bunch of materials you can sell for gold to the crafters. If you really want to be a crafter, you can make money that way, but it takes way more time and effort.

Not exactly - I think when he's talking about 'still earn reputation, but renown's not unlocked' It's the Renown reward track that's locked. For major factions, rep and renown are 1-to-1 linked(Renown is a progression tracker, mostly, as well as allowing more stages than Hated to Exalted), but you can't get the Renown rewards until you open that faction. It stops you wasting any progress. For minor factions(like Cobalt Assembly in Dragonflight), they just have reputation.
@@ZackNeill From what I can see... Certain quests (For example: go kill a rare enemy for X reward), were giving less exp if I was overleveled for the zone they were in.
