Thank you for playing through this game. I was bored today and remembered dark orbit so I decided to watch a video about this and your video was entertaining. 👍
this game came preloaded into a laptop that my mom and dad got for my brother and I in the 2000s. there were some other games on it too but i cant remember them. another one was an FPS space shooter.
I miss the days when games were given out as shareware or demos. Everybody is too concerned with squeezing every last dollar out of their games nowadays. Lmk if you remember anything about that fps game. I'd be interested in trying it out.
I know what the others were. We had an HP computer too. So obviously there was Dark orbit Demo. Also, Pig Pen, Blasterball (wild tangent), The last one is Wildtangent Virtual Warfare. You're welcome
My apologies for the few times that the game pause text comes up. I clicked out of the window by accident. I don't think it happened too much, but my lazy a** should've edited that out. Another thing, I have no idea what causes the textures on some of the models to pop in and out like they do; but, given how obscure the game is, I can't find much on how to fix it.
I actually did that lol. It wanted me to put what game it was and that was the only Dark Orbit that came up (go figure). I thought it would be better than putting nothing. But yeah, UA-cam automatically puts the wrong one on all the time. Trying to look literally anything up about this one is super difficult, to say the least.
It's been awhile so I don't remember the exact process. But I seem to recall it being pretty straightforward. Just keep in mind that the WildTangent software, that you have to install for it to run, will be flagged by your AV as adware. It's super old though, and has never caused an issue for me whatsoever.

There was a shooting game featuring a female protagonist called Betty Bad as well.

UA-cam is still attaching the WRONG Dark Orbit. Theirs is saying 2006, but I clearly remember playing it back around 2001.

How’d you get this game to run? I see you downloaded it from another user. Was it pretty simple or did you have to jump through a lot of hoops?
