I guess any rapper with good subject matter that you can actually understand has an "earl vibe". I don't see this as an earl vibe i see this as a Mavi vibe because that's what it is no matter how you try to paint it.
dagoth ur I feel like you or the comment above don’t get it, they all have a similar sound, It apart of the “SLUMS1” movement, Mavi, MIKE, Medhane, Earl, Navy blue etc. It’s a underground sorta thing, At the very least they have similar Rhyme patterns and soliloquy, not so much Medhane but the other 4 are very similar in sound.
dagoth ur not saying that, as a matter of fact I think some them influenced Earl’s style nowadays, he’s moved to a more underground sound. What I’m really saying is it’s not all the same but if you notice all of them have SUPER sample and vocal driven beats that may be off putting to a casual listener of modern rap like da baby, migos etc. Samples have BEEN around even in mumble rap but it’s the way these underground rappers use them that is similar to each other. Some of the people guys you named have a more traditional rap style, some seem to do a more spoken word style and some do both. Plus some of them hang with each other often so it makes sense that they get ideas from each other and trust me I’m a not casual or dickrider
@@litman5584 I agree, were on the same page i just kinda misunderstood your previous comment, what i like most about this movement while were on the subject is that its actually good sounding music, hip hop has been a joke since around 2005 and up but now it looks like we are are now entering a hip hop redemption era for 2020 even though this shit's been surfacing from the underground since like 2009 (splitter spitters the post pro era for example) though they weren't as lofi sounding as most of the groups i mentioned before, they (Pro era + odd future) along with a number of underground artist from the 90's (Heltah skeltah, black moon, living legends etc) and even abstract artist like mndsgn, ewonee, elusive and sun glitters just to name a few i feel influenced this sound a lot.

I wonder if Mavi was essentially inspired any way by (The current) Earl Sweatshirt, as his flow is very similar to what we can hear in Some Rap Songs, The whole monotone voice, the delivery, and even the off coordinated beat the Mavi presents in this song is very similar, Either if it is or not, I do enjoy this track a lot, Keep it Up Mavi.
