Would love one of these with mini humbuckers. The Super 80 pickups are great, but the Iceman shape always reminds me of the Firebird so it would be cool to have a mini humbucker version as an option.
Ibanez still has multiple cool but unattended models, hopefully they get the same treatment as the Iceman. I'm talking about the FR, Talman and the Roadcore
The Iceman was pretty much a "love at first sight" for me lol. Ibanez have many really cool original shapes and it sucks that they just never do anything with them! Iceman, Talman, Destroyer, Roadcore, FR, Darkstone and Halberd! And a couple more in the "Extreme Early 2000's Metal" styles. They can do so much better than Superstrats, Superteles and Legally-Distinct-Single/Double-Cuts it honestly upsets me that they just don't!
We need more icemen in general. One pickup with a Floyd or an edge, grindy as fuck. One with 3 pickups and some sort of metal flake burst finish, like silver or gold, that would be sick as shit.
The Iceman has always been an eye catcher, but honestly, if you want an Iceman, or any other axe for that matter, built to your own specs, build your own. Just recently ordered it with the maple top-such late 70s/early 80s vibe to it. Would have purchased a purple metallic or sparkle one, but it definitely was the wiser economic route for Ibanez to have it offered in that lovely blue hue instead. Expecting to like the pickups and not switch anything out for once! Even a gig bag is included. Great (or similar) value compared to the bigger economy lines we all know. And compared to them, also a rarity all things considered, as it's no Firebird/Explorer. Its own unique thing-let's hope I get a good specimen!

If it wasn't a present, I would have sent it back. The store gave me a decent partial refund.
