I’ve noticed that when I add concealer or primer to my eyelids that it comes out more messy and very light, when I don’t add concealer it just will not stick and look sloppy. I’ve learned that you add concealer and then add setting powder for it to sick and look more pigmented 💗 I hope I helped anybody with this problem lots of love 🥺
Edit: put a small amount of concealer first, then lightly add setting power. Don’t overdo it :))

teagoblin you can move the shadows around in some pallets. I have a pallet that has a travel pallet that you can put the shadows you like best from the big pallet into the small travel one

I 100% agree with Tammi if you wear your shadow with confidence what ever the colours greens blues yellows rainbow even you immediately look well and truly snatched. Just go for it!
I agree! I started wearing eyeshadow first when I first wore makeup. I had an amazing blue eyeshadow that I still have from NK that I bought at the beauty supply. Men would compliment me on my makeup and most men don’t even notice. When I didn’t wear the blue eyeshadow, ppl would tell me they loved what I wore but always hoped to see the blue eyeshadow. That is what gave me more confidence

When I'm unsure how new colors are going to blend or I just feel like playing around I like to practice on my arm. Also, feels less wasteful for someone like me who doesnt necessarily have the funds to have a large collection.

I strongly encourage you people to wear colors! People are just scared and afraid of something differents sometimes, you have to show them! I once had a monochrome full blown teal smoky eye makeup with teal lips, teal dress and I received so many compliments, even from "normal" people. I didnt care anyway, but it surprised me.
Well said, Tammi, when you stated, it does not matter what others think! I am 58 years old and I wear Greens, blues, Purples @ Black and white, all the time! The other day I got a lovely compliment from a lady around the same age as myself when I was wearing a very bright, frosted blue on my upper @ lower lids! I sometimes get silly disapproving looks from other ladies my age, but Hey! Who cares! I have always been a free spirit! One of my favourite colour pallets, which I own, is your Revolution one! Gorgeous! I think your video was brilliantly laid out and you have most likely given a lot of ladies, confidence to get out of their comfort zone! God bless ya! xx

This is the first video I watched that really encouraged me as a black woman to wear color. I used to think we couldn't but we have so much more available for us nowadays. And tam saying " be confident " and just do that $h!t lol definitely helped

i actually accidentally bought YOUR makeup palette. i saw it in the store thought the packaging was nice, the colours were exactly what i was looking for and it was a really good price. searched up how to do colourful eyeshadow looks and ur video was the first one that came up!!
i wish wearing full glam makeup in public without having any special occassions is more common in my country :(( i wanna wear full beat makeup during weekends but sometimes i feel so self conscious bc it seems like im "too dolled up" just for shopping or something😂
I prefer shimmery colors, and nude mattes. But, that's just me, and unless it's winter I typically don't wear darker colors. I like light, soft natural looks for Spring/Summer using cool tones, and light hued warms like baby pink and lilacs. Meanwhile, Autumn/Winter I use deep warms, and dark cools with eye liner and dark lips if I dress up. Otherwise, it's tinted chapstick. Very helpful for using matte eyeshadows for me at least.
How is your channel not HUGE? I just stumbled across it, but it's probably one of the best channels I've ever come across. You're a natural at teaching. Your channel is going to really blow up. You're amazing.
I am hopefully going to get some colourful palettes soon, yours included. I really want to start wearing bright colours. I dont necessarily want to go into a careers in makeup but it is something i do enjoy. I used to post looks on Instagram but then lost a load of confidence in my looks. Im trying to gain back my confidence then i may start posting them again but idk

I love wearing colors on my eyes. If I am going to wear eyeshadow it have to show. I never care what no one thinks. As I always say "We have one life to live and I am going to live it colorful and with absolutely no regrets "😄. This is a very informative video ❤❤👍👍

I don't know why I haven't seen you before but I'm glad I found you. You explain things so thoroughly and in a way that's easy to understand. Even each step of the blending process, which colors mesh well together. Wow I really appreciate that. I also want to thank you for what you said about wearing whatever colors you want as long as they make you feel good and don't worry about what others think. I've been through an extremely difficult year that really battered my self-esteem. I started wearing makeup again for the first time in over 20 years to try and build my confidence back up. I have to say that it has helped and I find I love the bright colors. I was always a neutral girl. I wore a bright lipstick the other day and my sister said something as soon as she saw it. I was wounded that it came from my sister but I shrugged and kept going. We need to build each other up, not tear each other down. Anyway, enough of that. I absolutely love your palette and the look you created. I hope to be able to get one sometime soon. Thank you!;❤️

I'm really down for more old skool UA-cam, when we actually learnt things from knowledgeable people. Thanks Tammi, this was super helpful and actually made the "mountain" I felt I had to climb, in order to make a colourful look, look like a minor hill. Please do a series on this, with an extra beginner and more advanced looks/techniques! Maybe use your own palette and a couple of other affordable drugstore or Revolution ones, so that 1. We can all copy it 2. You won't be judged on using only your own materials (not that you should mind on your own channel no less, but you know... variety is fun too after all😉)

Ive been wearing color lately and I love it! I probably do have people look at me like im crazy but I dont care I have fun creating my looks (for the most part) and I like how it looks. And I actually get compliments too. But ive used your tips and its worked amazing!! I had actually gave up on working with colors until I watched some of your other videos. But you are a beautiful black young woman with a very big almond expressive eyes, so those colours look amazing on you. I’m 42 years old, my skin is a pale mix of white, blue, yellow grey tones, my eyes are mature, small, hooded and downturned and it’s too easy to me to fall down in ridiculous with the colours. I love colourful eye looks but always with a neutral base, soft brown transition and finally a touch of colour. Other way I end like a clown. Good palette and good advices anyway

Great tips and very straightforward explanation of these techniques.
Also, I love a nice, simple colorful smokey eye! I almost never do cut creases unless I'm feeling super extra--for my eye shape I much prefer just some nice blending with only a few shades. I don't have a lot of space between my eyes and my brows, and only the smallest section of my lid is visible when I'm looking straight forward, so tutorials like this are much more adaptable for me! (When I do cut creases, you can't see them anyway... haha!)
