this is my favorite ereader! never goes back to kindle as this is using android system it allows flexibility of bundle all my reading apps! including Kindle, also I love the sleek design and look of this device. Thanks for the review!
Please make a separate video on the note taking features!! Looking for an e ink note taker in this smaller size but unsure what to go for as the market is limited at this time!
Would love to see how some of the art apps run on this. I have the Boox Note+. With some adjustments I can run Artflow OK, but would love to know what the improvements are these days. For some the lag might be too much, but I think it’s fine and well making black and white sketches on it isn’t too bad. Out of the box it’s crap so you have to play around with some of the refresh setting to find the balance of refresh rate and ghosting when testing. Also the reason the pen is so good is because it’s Wacom EMR, the stylus is compatible on the Tab S 7 and the S-pen works with this too.
I had the poke 3, fantastic ereader/tablet, the screen is marvelous, and very flexible with the books format, but (there is always a but 😜) the support for RTL languages is a joke, I had to sell it and get a kindle instead just so I can read my ebooks in my native language. If they fix the RTL issues it would be the best ereader ever made. Thanks for the review bruh 😇.
Thanks for your video. I am looking for an ereader with no colour as I feel the Kaoliedo -3 screen is too dark for reading black and white text . Which device can you suggest Boox Nova Air 2 or Meebook P78 pro?
Those two look quite similar to me so I guess you can go with either. I would do research on battery life though. For darker screens, it's usually not a problem since you can add some brightness and contrast will improve significantly.
So torn between this and the Kobo Sage. On one hand I really value that this runs on more "open" software, but I'm concerned by reports that it takes a lot of troubleshooting to get apps running well. I also wonder if it's uncomfortable to hold a larger eReader that has small bezels like this.
I am left-handed. For note taking, can you move the left bar menu from the left side over to the right side to avoid accidental touch from your left hand moving across the page?
I no longer have the tablet so I can't test the default note taking app. But since there's Google Play Store, you can install notetaking apps that have night mood feature.
Nice review, but for the price, I'd rather get a regular Samsung or someone else's Android Tablet with more functionality, especially since I already have a Kindle for reading.

The side slider controls! I'm sold. Until your video I haven't seen any other reviewer mention this feature. Thanks for this review! 😂

This may be my all in one: eReader+eWriter+eDrawer! Plus it can even install Tachiyomi and Smorgasborg Comics/Mangas Apps like SJ Vault. Very nice!
I use this an a Likbook mars to read and takes notes. The Air can do spit screen but I find using two readers is more natural

It’s comfortable to hold. For mostly reading, just get Kobo.
what about pdf writing or word documents? aren't quite small? compared to the 10 size. thanks
is it already activated Google Play on the Onyx Boox Air ?

You can switch the bar from left to right using the settings inside the note taking app
Looks like a great device! How does it work with Concepts?
Yes, but it's greyscale so it doesn't look good
Is there a night mode where the screen gets black and the writing white?

Does it fit an iPad mini 6 case ? Their sizes are almost the same.
No
