I have to change the main processor IC of a Pioneer AV receiver. Should i do anything else to match the new chip with the EPROM?
Or will the new micro controller IC take the firmware from it automatically?

Somewhere I read that you cannot install a blank MPU chip and it won't work. Manufacturer put a firmware first on it to read the program from EPROM..

Hello friend, I enjoy your videos a lot. Do you have any service manual or documentation for Denon AVR-S760H SMPS board?
My AVR blows fuse when insert into power outlet, cannot even start it on.
I would bring it to you but unfortunately I have moved to Europe. Any advice would be great appreciated!
I have by the way 120V version, but when use step-down trafo from 230V to 120V fuse blows.
I have measure and found some diode to be faulty (I measure 0V on it with diode function).
To find a spare PCB for this model is very hard so need to fix myself I think.

may be fault in amp section or power section or digital board itself . without checking properly we can't tell the fault cause.

hi, please check the analog signal from digital board the dac and then op amp, volume ic analog signal is ok then amplifier pre driver section must be fault or digital signal itself has noise then you need to check dsp and associate circuitry.
