I have a feeling it is interesting in concept (i say I have a feeling because I did not understand anything of what happened) and with exquisite animation, but I'm unsure of the realization of the idea. -Procreation is done, symbolically, by the complementing union of the bodies, which here does not happen. The impregnation comes to be by indirect transmission, in which case one must wonder whether or not the sexual themes and genitals are even needed for this concept, and if they work or not against it. -Consuming the resulting egg I did not understand, and again, in the natural sexual understanding, it is very questionable. Here, I feel the inclusion of genitals even works against the conveying of any message. -As an extra about this: is there any point in giving "gendered" body-shapes to these entities, apart from the genitals themselves? Androgynous bodies would work with little difference, I think. Then again, I did not understand anything. -If the overarching event of this story has more weight than the particular happenings in it, it doesn't feel much like it. I think it could have been explored and explained visually more deeply. That said, I did not understand. Exquisite animation, though.
