Roy Z plays the other guitar. Solos are split between him and Adrian. In this song Ro Z had the first solo, then Adrian. These albums are some of the best music recorded during the 90’s in my opinion. Balls to picasso was his first after he left Maiden. He did this with a band called trive of gypsies. The departure from Maiden is even more evident in that album. After Balls he did skunkworks. I love that as well, different in another way. After Skunkworks he teamed up with tribe of gypsies again + Adrian for Accident of birth and Chemical wedding.
The guitars and Bruce’s singing in this is absolutely fantastic. Oh and Adrians playing is what is missing from the Iron Maiden albums that he didn’t play on. Maiden really missed him.
There are actually 2 guitar solos. First one is played by Roy Z, fast and very fluid, “liquid”. Second solo is Adrian Smith, very bluesy and bendy. Both are great, awesone displays of lead guitar playing.
The live album scream for me brazil, with this lineup is amazing and really worth a listen as both these solo songs as well as iron maiden stuff in general is so much better live
This is one of the best openers ever, just fist in the fcking face right from the gates. I remember Bruce saying in an interview that they used bass strings in their riff/rhythm guitars to make that ballsy guitar sound.
I’m glad you chose to do these 2 solo albums by Bruce. I haven’t seen any reactions from anyone on these. This album is a lot more dirty sounding than Accident but they both kick ass. Not a bad song on either. Adrian’s solos shine and Roy Z. Kicks it well too. Thanks!!
This is one of those albums that you take a hour and listen all the way through to the end with no interruptions to really get how amazing this album flows from one song to the next. After the last song ends you immediately want to start the album over and go on the journey again.Straight Masterpiece
Roy Z doesn't get enough credit. The man is a musical prodigy. Teamed up with Bruce, you have the ultimate metal machine. Throw in Adrian Smith and it's nuclear!
Bruce Dickinson ist big into William Blake! He did also a movie on Alister Crowley. Accident of Birth, Chemical Wedding, Tyranny of Souls ... Just f...... awesome!!!
F yea! This whole album rips! It’s definitely different but there’s still a massive maiden influence present. Great album to listen to front to back as some of the songs run into or piggyback off each other!
Accident of birth was the first solo Bruce album I heard, enjoyed it. Then Chemical Wedding came out, another level imo. Looking forward to seeing you enjoy this.
I've loved this since it came out. Even the worst song on the album still gets 4/5 from me. Great solos and melodies, so much emotion. If Maiden could still release an album of this caliber, I would cry tears of joy.
YEEEEEEEES! Thanks hurm1t for doing this albums, part of the "maiden fan" is knowing this stuff, you rock my friend and your channel deserves more subs, thank you!
Oh man this album is a masterpiece, it rivalsl even Maiden's best in my opinion. Production is excellent, riffs are killer, drums hit you hard, and the choruses are epic! My favorite songs are definitely Book of Thel, The Alchemist, Chemical Wedding, and The Tower. 🤟
You have to listen to Smith/Kotzen album which came out last year. Different coz it's hard rock rather than metal, but great songs with phenomenal guitars.
After you've finished with these two albums, you should react to "Tears of the Dragon" from "Balls to Picasso", and to "Into the Black Hole", an Ayreon song with Bruce Dickinson on vocals. You should check also his live album "Scream for me Brazil".
Tears of the dragon is the only song from Dickinson's solo albums that I knew until now, and this one was incredibly much heavier than the Iron Maiden's songs.
Guitarist Roy Z is one of the underrated metal musicians & producers of today... his work w/ Bruce Dickinson and Rob Halford (Judas Priest) records are top-notch 🤘🤘 From what I read, Bruce Dickinson going solo outside of Maiden in 1994 w/ the album 'Balls to Picasso' was an experience (good & bad) w/ the changes happening in the 90's (grunge and alternative rock dominating... 80's heavy metal cast aside) - and he also released a double live CD in 1995 ('Alive in Studio A') w/ no Iron Maiden songs performed w/ his then-solo band, which had only 1 guitarist. He played Sarajevo in Bosnia during the city's siege during their war on that tour (which was recorded for the 2018 live release, 'Scream for me Sarajevo'). Dickinson released the 'Skunkworks' album in 1996, but that album sold poorly... the singer cut his hair and was playing a more 90's rock style... that did not sit well w/ metal fans... but he did try to establish his solo credentials without relying on his history w/ Iron Maiden. But clearly, that was not working... He sacked the band in 1997 and re-teamed w/ guitarist Roy Z and his band Tribe of Gypsies (who recorded 'Balls to Picasso') and did the album 'Accident of birth' w/ Adrian Smith adding his guitar... He also started playing Iron Maiden songs in concert again w/ his solo band. He tried again w/ 'The Chemical wedding' in 1998 and released another live album 'Scream for me Brazil' in 1999 (w/ only his solo songs). Years later, Dickinson admitted that he was financially wiped out by 1999 because his records were not selling commercially... both he and Adrian Smith were having money problems... Adrian Smith's band Psycho Motel had released 2 albums by 1997, but neither made any commercial impact. But both had started talking to the Maiden camp and in 1999, Dickinson was offered to rejoin Iron Maiden... he said that he told guitarist Roy Z about the offer, and Z told him to go back to Iron Maiden... Roy Z did the next solo album 'Tyranny of souls' in 2005 by Bruce Dickinson, and I believe he's working on what will be Dickinson's next solo album.
After listening to The Chemical Wedding album, I consider this a very good song. I'd say this album has some real good songs and some not so good songs. I will be interested in your opinion Hurm. Onto Chemical Wedding.
@@rafaelrodriguez3270 I have. I'll take a listen more then once though. The Tower such a Wrathchild sounding song. Probably like this first song best. Only a couple I didn't like.
Dude accident of birth and the chemical wedding are two of metal's greatest albums at least imho
My opinion exactly!
one of the BEST METAL album ever created !!! from start to finish 10\10 !!!
Adrian Smith is fucking amazing!Probably my favourite metal guitar player
Love how you can't help but smile... The music is amazing, and still fresh after all these years....

Adrian of course is melodic and bluesy. Roy Z is just a shredder. He is really good.
This is Bruce’s best solo album the live album what covers the album scream for me Brazil 🇧🇷 is second to none
Bruce Dickinson's solo career was something unique cause it was very experimental and progressive, hence it influenced many 90's and early 00's bands.
The guitars and Bruce’s singing in this is absolutely fantastic. Oh and Adrians playing is what is missing from the Iron Maiden albums that he didn’t play on. Maiden really missed him.
yeahhhhh!!!! More Bruce!!!!!
There are actually 2 guitar solos. First one is played by Roy Z, fast and very fluid, “liquid”. Second solo is Adrian Smith, very bluesy and bendy. Both are great, awesone displays of lead guitar playing.
I love you for listening to this album. This, Accident of Birth, and Tyranny of Souls. You CAN’T GO WRONG.
The live album “ Scream for me Brazil” is absolute 🔥
They were two solos in that song. The first part was Roy Z and the second was Adrian.
The live album scream for me brazil, with this lineup is amazing and really worth a listen as both these solo songs as well as iron maiden stuff in general is so much better live
That is a bloody great album and I hope he plays some of it.

Every song is this good!
Album cover is William Blake (UTFG)
Nymphs tempting Satyr. The Painting of Lucifer look's very similar to Dickenson's version.
Bruce and Adrian, that’s why Bruce said he would only re join maiden if Adrian did, write many songs together
Book of Thel , Machine Men, Trumpets of Jericho will blow your mind..., guaranteed!!!!
Roy Z doesn't get enough credit. The man is a musical prodigy. Teamed up with Bruce, you have the ultimate metal machine. Throw in Adrian Smith and it's nuclear!

Get ready for the rest of the album. Masterpiece!!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
THIS ALBUM IS A HIDDEN GEM! Jerusalem is my favorite!

Do the entire album! It is amazing! BOOK OF THEL

But it is not easy for first time
After Chemical wedding and Accident of birth you must listen to Tyranny of souls, his last solo album. I is a bad ass album.
After listening to it, I'd say it's a good album. I wouldn't call it a masterpiece, but good none the less. This first song I really like though.
It's nice to see you genuinely enjoying this music 👍
I love it!

'Into The Black Hole' is an amazing vocal performance!
Accident of birth i believe is the best Dickinson album
What a legend

Oh hell yes! thank you
Ha Ha. Hold on Tight....!!!!!
Tears of the Dragon is the next must.
🔥 🔥 🔥
For me, Bruce solo was the precursor of nu metal, but made even better by the insane guitar solos!!!
fantastic album. Tad heavier than Maiden and just as good.
Broooo you skiped 3 albums !!! You needed to run then in order to see Bruce transition
If you liked this, just wait until you get to The Book of Thel
You should do every Dickinson album. Everyone is good except for skunkworks i think, it's a really bad album in my opinion.
After listening to The Chemical Wedding album, I consider this a very good song. I'd say this album has some real good songs and some not so good songs. I will be interested in your opinion Hurm. Onto Chemical Wedding.
I used to think the same. But if you run the album as a whole you will feel the real vibe.

@@metalmark1214 the only song that i didnt “like” is Jerusalem. But i let it play just the hear the narration before Trumpets of Jerico
