These is ABBA, the iconic Swedish pop quartet, the best, most versatile and most important of the 70s, in the post BEATLES decade (the revolutionary group of the 60s)
ABBA, as in its time BEATLES, was a musical and cultural phenomenon, and its legacy lives on
remember that ABBA is an acrostic with initials of their first names; initialy They was two couples:
A- Agnetha (blonde lead vocal) &
B- Björn (guitarist and songwriter)
B- Benny (pianist and songwriter) &
A- Anni Frid (brunette lead vocal)
(both couples separated before the end of the group in 1982)
"Dancing Queen" (1976) is a beautiful song, which shines in the loftiness of its vocal harmonies
the blonde singer Agnetha is soprano voice,
the brunette singer Frida is mezzo soprano voice,
and blending together made the famous and fantastic 'third voice of ABBA'
And the music is bright and enveloping, from the initial chord it introduces you into the atmosphere of the disco and invites you to dance
English public has voted it as one of the songs they want to hear the most, because of the feeling of joy and energy it gives them (another is "Don't stop me now" by Queen)
And in 2015 "Dancing Queen" was included in the Hall of Fame of Rock and Roll music

Gotta be in my top 5 bands JUST BECAUSE OF THIS SONG! That's how much this song moves me! That's saying something cause I have a lot of favs! But what can I say about this song that hasn't been said already. Clearly we ae all drawn to this song for the same reasons and that makes me joyfully smile! I've already commented in more detail on a few other reaction videos to this song so this one I'll keep it more simple.. Top 5! 💯🎵🎶💖
Interesting thing about this group, they took what ever the "gross" was for a given show, record sales, appearances, WHATEVER, and divided it between them equally 4 ways. Bennie and Bjorn did not take additional money for writing all of the songs. They felt that the girls contribution in their voices was just as contributory to the bands success as the music that they sang. I don't know of any other writers that are that gracious!
They have sold at least 400 million records , or probably 5-600 million by now.. A Pretty good result if you ask me..!! Björn and Benny sure knew how to write hit songs !!

My dad had the ABBA Gold videos on VHS and we must have watched it 100 times such great memories for me, he loved ABBA so much and growing up with it we enjoyed it too! I can’t wait to visit the ABBA museum in Sweden! One of my favorite groups!
