I’ve had my 2017 A6 competition s-line with 340 hp. Best daily driver I’ve ever owned. Regularly scheduled maintenance so far. No issues. It’s amazing in our 🇨🇦 winters. I plan on keeping it for 8-10 years.
Very hard to find these optioned out. I consider myself very lucky to have found a fully loaded with every option on it except the B&O. However, I would not recommend as more things can go wrong and I’d rather like to keep the car for a longer period of time. Hoping all is built well but electronics are always worrisome. I could recommend skipping on the automatic cruise control but I honestly can’t do with the HUD and I believe they come packaged together. Again take everything into consideration before purchasing. Good luck!
I’m looking into buying an A7 with the same engine, wish you talked about any reliability issues with the car and what to look out for. Good review btw
I owned a Q5 with the same engine and never had a problem with it up until when I sold it at 90K miles. Still performed great too. Proper maintenance is key.
Robert Hickman Not true at all. Like any automaker, Audi has made both reliable and unreliable cars. Many people have no problems at all with their German vehicles. You can’t generalize an entire country’s cars like that.
Good point about the transition from 2nd and 3rd generation. Having had a 2010 and 2012 definitely prefer the 2012 and newer. Prestige modes have four zone climate control, yes dual zone for rear passengers. Advertises seating for five but in reality probably four adults. The eight speed transmission is much smoother and crisper than the 2010 era six speed. Minor changes at least through 2018 are fairly subtle. 2013/2014 era started the Auto Stop/Start. 2015 switched to three spoke steering wheel. 2016 the dual exhaust was still there but the exhaust tips were flared better into the lower fender valance. Great video but I will get it out there. I am not a fan of the black exterior and nougat interior. Also not a fan of the panoramic moonroof. I prefer more steel/aluminum and metal protection but that’s me. A6 is a good balance of the styling, performance, and interior ergonomics for the era. One of the better design elements of modern times not cheap but not overly extravagant. Some basic items can be changed by owner with moderate mechanical knowledge and tools, by basic I mean spark plugs, air filters, brakes etc...
Definitely a car I should’ve looked at getting. Ended up with a 2010 Volvo XC70 T6, but sometimes I wonder if I’d have been better off sacrificing snow and off-road for more on-road sporty handling.
great video, thanks for the review. can you please advise how good the stock noise insulation is on the C7? i've read many people saying it's leaves a little more to be desired, while lots saying that it is very quite and comfortable inside. how does it compare to the rest of the cars you owned? would be nice to hear your thoughts.
Very nice video, I just picked up basically the same car with 34,000 miles for a great price. What kind of tires do you recommend for snow? Do you ever have chain up? Thanks
@@booniedavillier504 I actually never got it, did a test on it and had pretty bad conditions, the high mileage and lack of maintenance would just run your pocket. *However* I ended up getting a 2018 model instead gorgeous black on black, the wheels are nice too, very satisfied.
not just topping off oil but if possible figure out what is causing the consumption if possible. could be pcv, valve cover gaskets, or something else that isnt too daunting to fix.

How many miles do you have on it so far I'm thinking of buying one like 2013 A6 around 110K is that good ?
@@simranjeetrocks currently 30 K. The better engine is the V6 supercharged for longevity. Just have a mechanical inspection done if you can.
Just asking do you fill it with premium 91 or regular 87
@@txch0583 I used 94.
That was an excellent review, just what I was looking for. Thanks!!
Well done you are on point
And I like your presentation
I'm looking at a 2013 a6 tomorrow morning. It already had the valves and head gasket done... Hopefully it works well.
This is a pretty good spec. Exactly what I was looking for when I buying mine. Unfortunately, I could never find one optioned this way.

Reliability is never good on German Cars. Expect expensive maintenance and costly repairs as you get high up in the mileage

@@tenzinsmith so if I get a audi a6 will it run like a gs350 without me going outta my way to do yearly maintenance
@@McBeakerson my gs350 has go vents in the back but not dual climate control

I’ve never chained up in an Audi. They perform awesome even in deep snow. I’m a fan of Pirelli PZeros
Finnish studded tires is the only way to go
Great presentation. Keep it up!
2014 Audi a6 or 2014 Infiniti q50 which is better overall?
Is a high mileage a6 3.0t worth it? 200,000 KM. What common issues do they have?
The 2008 Cadillac CTS had a navigation screen that did that. New idea 💡
2004 A8 do it first

How much oil do these guys burn through?
I am trying to make decision between q5 or a6
Q5 if you want more of an SUV look... A6 if you want more cabin space and better ride/handling.

Do these one have the oil consumption issue?
Oil consumption is prevalent among most Audi vehicles but doesn't seem to be a huge issue if you are careful about topping off as needed.

With a CVT transmission? :D
Nope
I don't think the A6 is capable of 0-60 of 4.6 seconds, though. I'd say low to mid 5s
Depends how brutally one launches it. MT did it in 4.4 secs with a harsh launch
An ECU tune will quickly change this haha. Even with stock internals you can push under 4.5 seconds 0-60
Where are the damn cup holders!
Horrendous instrument panel.
