I got every God Roll of these and somewhat agree.
Although you have to account for Opening Shots +20 to Aim Assist with +20 to Range this would give Sojo all it’s Aim Assist downside you showed and same with an Unmatched amount of Aim Assist from Blasphemer.
Personally I haven’t played much with my Heritage (Fluted/Hammer, Accurized, Slideshot/Snapshot, Handling MW) so now I will but currently I would say my Sojo (Fluted, Accurized, Moving Target Opening Shot Range MW) and Curated Blasphemer are the best Legendaries.
Sojo is WAAAAYYY underrated with that roll. Crazy sticky-ness.

This was the first video i saw, and man this is what made me play better overnight. I literally up my game so much so that i could not put the controller down, i was having so much fun. The explanation on the right rolls made the world of difference.

Using a shotgun with slugs in real life is even better. Slapping a steel target with a p h a t slug just feels good, even if you don't like guns.
I remembered using Sojourner's Tale and Blasphemer back in splicer and it felt really good prior to the quickdraw nerf with Quickdraw and Opening Shot both present on these slugs.
Also do you think it's "acceptable" to replace accurized rounds and hip-fire grip on Heritage with Assault Mag and Slideshot instead?

Imagine if supers required at minimum 2 shots to kill someone out of it, from any weapon.

I found a First In, Last Out in my vault not long ago that I didn't realise I had. Fluted, AR, SS, OS, Range MW and honestly it's been so fun to use. I've not used slug shotties very much previously as I generally snipe, but this thing is actually nuts. You've convinced me to farm for a Heritage haha.

Awesome video! Very similar conclusions that I’ve come to as well as an avid slug user.
As a filthy stompees hunter, I just couldn’t make chaperone work because being on the ground just makes me feel like a caged bird. I farmed like 20 of each of the legendary slugs (no I don’t have more productive things to do with my time why do you ask), but kept going back to heritage because it felt so good. I thought I was crazy at first because it lacked opening shot and therefore lost in the OHK department by ~.5m or so to the other slugs but come to accept that the “feel” of a weapon sometimes is even more important than the objectively measurable qualities like one hit kill ranges.

I have hip fire/opening shot on both the Blasphemer and First In Last Out (and Hip Fire/Killing Wind on Heritge) and i alternate depending on what primary i want to use. Absolutely amazing guns and not using ADS means as a Titan i can compete with a Hunter's mobility as my FOV isn't narrowed.

Curious how hipfire grip and freehand grip mod stacked are just running around trying to hipfire people. Maybe even with lion ramparts. Anyone try anything like this?
i just don't ads at all using them, i usually main Anteaus Wards but Lions works great as well

Hey Gjerda, I know its kinda late but I wanted to come back to this video and say thank you for comparing all these slug shotguns. Before I watched this I was the typical stompee hunter with an aggressive frame shotgun and a handcannon, but this video opened my mind to the world of slugs. I got a sojourner's tale with moving target and opening shot and its elevated my gameplay tremendously. It helped me go flawless for the first time ever and it always has my back whenever I need it. If it weren't for this video I would still be in my own world, but slugs shattered my expectations tremendously. My k/d and overall enjoyment for crucible has gone up so much more than I ever expected. From the bottom of my heart, thank you ❤

I'm so glad I hung on to my double perk First In Last Out from Arrivals. It has Fluted Barrel, Assault Mag (No Accurized Rounds, thiough. RIP), Slideshot, Opening Shot, AND Vorpal to choose from!

I subbed after the Fatebringer & Palindrome video. Finally got around to doing Templar and got the god rolled Fatebringer (except with kill clip not eye of the storm) on my 1st run so was happy enough with that. Was looking into slug shotguns so this video is perfect. Hopefully have some in my vault or I can be blessed by RNG again.

I'm new to destiny 2 and I actually got that god roll blasphemer well with rifled barrel so the range is near maxed out but I really enjoy slugs so the other shotguns are on my bucket list to get thanks for the guide

In terms of performance Vs ease of farming, I have to give a shout-out to the curated roll on blasphemer. I think it's a much easier farm (especially solo) than Heritage (and UA-cam has plenty of guides for how to farm it). Huge range, opening shot, and quickdraw (even post nerf) is just fantastic for quickly drawing it for downing someone caught out of position, or for fast body shot cleanups.

A few months ago I found an old bonechiller roll in my vault of corkscrew, accurized, surplus, opening, and handling mw. Decided to take it for a spin, I can confidently say after 430 kills in pvp it is a very good slug

I have two amazing Sojourner's Tale slugs (Quickdraw + Opening Shot, and Moving Target + Opening Shot), but the latter is my all time favourite legendary slug!
It's interesting in that the perks on it are EXACTLY THE SAME as what you suggested in your recommendations, with my version having both the best selectable mags on top: Assault Mag and Accurised Rounds!
The only difference on my Sojourner's Tale is that it has a Handling Masterwork, which I personally prefer as I use Dead Man's Tale Exotic Scout as my leading weapon in PvP. Sojourner's Handling isn't as quick as my Quickdraw version, but overall handling is so high on my MT + OS that its great to switch to when I need it.
35 aim assist isn't fun but MT adding ten points, and OS adding even more on my first shot (and refreshes after about 3 secs) more than make up for this.
I do like the no-sights and the actual sound of Bonechiller slug, but the poor handling vs high aim assist work against my playstyle.
My Sojourner's high range and handling are perfect, and MT helps out when I ADS to make crispy crits!

I have a heritage w/ auto loading and killing wind and pairing it with an overflow weapon is amazing for 6’s when playing fast paced

Thanks! To get your handling up on Titan you probably gotta go with quick charge and shotgun dexterity, and then just get well rolled guns. Always run one shotgun targeting and if you can fit it a shotgun unflinching mod.
Slugs are my jam. I'm happy the spread shotgun nerf has finally put legendary slugs in a place where they can excel. My heritage, sojourner, and chaperone are my favorite guns in the game. Great video. Subbed.

I had a heritage with moving outlaw, wish I could watched this first. However I have the exact godroll for sojo and my blasy has hipfire over threat, and I use hipfire grip mod and the thing feels like a hipfire aimbot. Thanks for the review man!

I've been hunting for a Sojourners Tale and finally got a decent one but they only wanted me to have range.

i needed this video!! i’ve been super nervous lately because i got selected to be on the jury for a case where two adult boys put burning hot dogs in the ears of their drill sergeant. i just don’t know what to do, because they’re VERY loud and fun and charismatic, but clearly guilty. i can’t just leave them for the wolves! i am thinking over my options while grinding slug shotty god rolls :)

Slug main here with more than 10k kills combined (I have job and life ;) ,I've been thru several shotties from y1 Unification Gunora Axe to currently Filo and my fav roll is ....slide shoot/OS 😀 peek shoot potential is thru the roof also low handling 68 doesn't bother me coz high range gives enough time to swap and secure the kill when challenged on flip side when being in offence that perk combo is unmatched.

I love my Sojourners (assault mag, QuickDraw, opening shot) even though I would love to have moving target as well (still going to try for it) and as far as my heritage (accurized rounds, hip fire grip, and moving target) I’m set with my slugs for a bit (until one stronger comes along)

Been using sojourner's with quick sling mod and opening shot. I get quick swaps, huge range, and I can clean up quick with synthoceps while still being out of range of normal pellet shotguns. Not to mention that soul cleansing feeling of popping a headshot on another guardian.

I have been using slugs like crazy since D2 pretty much released- and I never bothered to use Heritage because of the "No opening shot = not worth it." Mentality. Then I saw this video.
*Dear god I was wrong.*
As someone who has a *lot* of kills with slugs, let me tell ya what- Heritage surprised me. I had Extended Barrel/Accurized Rounds/Auto Loading/Snapshot with a Handling masterwork, and the thing is an absolute beast. It genuinely surprised me, I have only used it for about 3-4 matches and I've already almost got 50-ish kills on it. The thing is a monster.
My one complaint is thing can't handle flinch very well at all, and the hit registration in midair is a bit wonky because its missing the opening shot, and I love using icarus grip. But without opening shot + Icarus, its midair capabilities are rather subpar compared to other legendary slugs. But PLEASE. Get the gun. PLEASE. It is so, so good. Thank you Gjerda for opening my eyes to this monster.

I got lucky enough to get a first in last out with opening and vorpal during the season where you could focus umbrals to give guns with multiple perks in one slot and I’ll literally just switch mid game when supers start popping up
