There is an island not too far from my house that is extremely popular and people flock there year round, because it's Florida, but somebody pulled up in one these in a 62' foot configuration and started serving drinks amd food off the back. A few boats also do that and they charge a lot for it. Plus if you have to use the bathroom, there isn't really a good place to go, but most boats won't let you use their bathroom. Lots of nude and semi-nude people about so obviously it can create problems, but this guy was letting people that bought food or drinks, sit on the platform, sit in the back and off to the side. Use the lower day head where the crew quarters was. He made $4100 in one weekend. Probably got lucky too. He stayed anchor there Friday night to Sunday night. Imagine doing that every weekend. That's 213k a year. Minus fuel costs, food costs and liquor, plus it was a bad weekend with rain...you can make serious money.
@@fisherlove11320q The only issue though is size. And that yacht is like a 2.3M dollar yacht. At the length he is, he is almost too big for where this island is situated. There is a deep trough around the island and a gentle and then steep curve up to it. So he puts the back half of the boat in the deep trough and then the rest of the boat is just barely away from the shore. So I see what you are saying, but where this island is, you wouldn't be able to. But since it is in the middle of the bay, people gather there nude or semi-nude and there are lots of very good looking women there. And he had a lot of them on his boat. And at like 6pm when 90% of people had left, he was still out there with about 3 guys and 6 women left on his boat. The other people that work, that island offering food and drinks at ridiculous prices, they stayed there too but they always stay there. A couple of them were pissed that he was out there. But these guys are rocking really old boats damn near falling apart selling cheap frozen hamburgers for 6 bucks, chips that would be 50cents, for 2 dollars and a can of soda for $1.50, another boat sells a 'shot' of liquor for 6 bucks, beer for $3 a bottle and soda in a cup that's mostly ice for a dollar. This island is packed. Every weekend. Most people roll in on small boats, or jet skis or ferry boats. So not everyone can bring a grill or even a cooler. But this guy comes along and he's selling grilled chicken sandwiches, wraps, chicken salads, better quality hamburgers, soda, beer and he is letting people chill out on the yacht and more importantly use the bathroom. Think about needing to go #2. You can't have a couple dozen people doing that around there. These other boats won't let to on. Or some of them you wouldn't want to go on because a camera would be in the bathroom. These are like sleeze bag vendor boats. If you didn't see them pull the burgers out of the plastic and throw them directly on the grill, you wouldn't want to eat their food. But this new guy made money. He was pretty cool. He just didn't want people roaming the interior because of them being wet and it's saltwater. He didn't want people up top unless he was up there. You could hang out on the swim platform, you could use the bathroom if you rinsed off first, and you could hang out up front, cockpit area, wherever. He ran out of food and had another boat come resupply him a few times, each day. But if you had a place that could accommodate a big yacht, definitely worth it. My parents owned yachts and we always had dinner parties on them, took business people out, their friends and family. We never had anything bigger than 72 foot, but you could get a couple and their kids on those. We met other people that had yachts and you form like groups that travel together. The sailing community is even better about that. There is a small boat about 25 feet and that guy showed up with 2 clamp on grills and he started selling food. He was doing good too. So if you have an area near you and can afford it, give it a shot maybe.
Love it...
Thanks

I could see myself doing that, even in a million dollar plus yacht! I'm such a people person!!
