Never thought I’d be sporting a Hellcat….… I Have 365 sig.. went to range with it last week to shoot with my teenage daughter. I had the Glock 42 in 380 cal (which is my daughter’s favorite .) along with my Glock 23 w/ Trijicon red dot in 40 cal. Rented Hellcat from the Range, and did side by side w/ my EDC 365. Hellcat felt lighter, seemed to have less recoil, had nice progressive trigger. Result…. I got tighter groupings with the Hellcat over my 365. I ran Approx 30 rounds in each gun. I simply fell in love with the Hellcat…..So this week I purchased the Hellcat Micro-compact gear up package .. The package comes with 5 magazines. (2x15 2x13 1x11 ) pistol bag , and range bag. Really nice quality bags, well padded, quality zippers, reinforced handles, plenty of pockets for Magazines, etc. Total for the package. $549.00.
I have the Holosun HS407c on order…dealer was out of sock, so Amazon…. I’ve never owned a Springfield, always Glocks, and Sigs, but I have to say..I’m impressed by the build quality of this gun and happy to have it in my collection. Blessed to exorcise my second amendment, Blessed to live & be an American. 🇺🇸

@@jeffofalltrades8489 you’re most welcome. I use to assist so many people with failures at the range that was caused from over oiling and I always knew right away what the problem was and it was so hard to convince them until I would show them my firearms , which was in their opinion “dry”, but most would give it a try after seeing that mine looked pristine with thousands of rounds through them and just smile and thank me. I made so many friends over the years and I feel saved hundreds of firearms from unnecessary wear and damage that is caused from over oiling. Please keep spreading the good word with your platform. @@jeffofalltrades8489 for my hands, I prefer the grip texturing on the hellcat over a Glock.. I was carrying a 43 which was replaced by the hellcat.. because for me it works way better as far as sights grip, capacity, ergonomics right out of the box. Every Glock I’ve owned I’ve changed everything about it usually stippling, sights. But, I no longer am in the market for a carry pistol. I’m sold on the hellcat I can shoot it proficiently out to 20yds. Not to mention it’s very comfortable carry for my body type. Carried it for about a year now. Everyone’s different.. but for me the hellcat really impressed me 13 rounds.. I remember back when that was never a option. Lol

I ALWAYS clean a brand new weapon. Clean off ALL that factory oil and get fresh oil on it.
To answer your actual question, after 1 box of ammo you don't need to. The frequency that you clean your weapon is really personal choice. But if you have 15 mins free, why not clean it? A clean, fresh oiled gun will ALWAYS be reliable and that's how I clean my guns. If I got some time, I pick a gun and clean it. I know I rambled, but I hope that helps!

  • @modsquad8u
    @modsquad8u Рік тому

Nothing new here to me, but it's a nice video for someone not familiar with this style of firearm.
Remember, if this is your daily carry, you want to clean it fairly often to remove skin cells, sweat, lint and other stuff that gets built up over time to ensure if you ever need it, it is working well. Some holsters allow much more ingress of particulates than others.

If you're referring to me calling the gun parts incorrect names and not the actual names of each individual part on this gun, I guess I have to explain. This is a BEGINNERS GUIDE as it says in the video. If I called every part a complicated name to make it 'Correct' it may be confusing for first time guy buyers or owners. I call every flat 'rail' a rail so its easy to understand and ANYONE that has this gun can get it cleaned and oiled. This is a channel for beginners. If you know the anatomy of every single gun and what to do, then this is not the channel for you. Thanks for the view and the comment.

@@jeffofalltrades8489 well, I had two other guys that work at the range try it and none of them could bulls eye. I shipped it back to Springfield, they said nothing wrong. but every other gun I have, as the saying goes, i can shoot the flea off of a cows tail. Granted they are full size but with Hellcat, no way no how.I am keeping it because it is the best looking and thinnest with most capacity sub compact and best price and feels awesome in hand especially with 15 capacity mags. but I am somewhat disappointed the way it shoots. maybe it's the 500 pound trigger :-) I will say I have no point of reference as to having shot other sub compacts, so maybe they all just for close range defense and not accuracy.
I'd be curious if you could shoot mine as accurate, it would prove once and for all if it's gun or user.

    • @jeffofalltrades8489

@@WV591 I will say this, shooting a compact gun is much more difficult. With my Glock 43, I don't shoot nearly as well as I do with my M&P 2.0. The hellcat I shot better than the 43, but I do think thats because I enjoy the grip on the Hellcat more than the 43.
Unfortunately, as the saying always goes, its never the gun, its always the user. Compact guns are a lot harder to shoot so that may be most of the issue. All I can say is keep trying and keep practicing! As much as you can at least with these darn ammo issues!

The only negative is having to pull the trigger twice to disassemble it. The new Springfield Armory Echelon doesn't require any trigger pull for takedown. I'd like Springfield Armory to upgrade the Hellcat to this new system.

Don’t have to pull trigger twice on this one either. The first trigger pull he shows here is not necessary, only the second one.

No way I'll ever buy another Springfield . I had a Hellcat briefly. The trigger saftey would catch on the frame when it wasn't supposed to. In a defensive situation this is very bad. Springfield just ignored me and my emails and the problem. It's ashame when a company ignores people's saftey and lives because of Greed. No way I'd trust Springfield.

Very interesting... I actually mentioned this in my comparison video, with the Hellcat, Shield, and Glock 43. I didn't like the trigger at all. Glad to know it wasn't just me! I'm sorry to hear about the poor customer service ... you'd think they would care more about a customer spending that kind of money . :/

      That’s a shame. I have a Springfield 1911 and it’s been fantastic. My favorite 1911 I’ve ever fired.

Wait a minute is that a Glock or a Springfield Hellcat? Looks like a copycat of a Glock. Shame on you Springfield.

Oh but it feels so much different. And has a lot of differences! Check out my comparison video where I compared this to the Glock 43 and the Shield! (SPOILER. The hellcat won lol ) thanks for the support! Make sure you're subscribed for more!

@@jeffofalltrades8489 Yes, I am sure it feels different just as when the Japanese started copying US cars or China copying all kinds of things, close copying 🤔 does not work or feel the same as the original. The Mossberg MC1 is copy of the Glock 43 I believe and I bet it feels different too.
Remember how a 🔫 gun feels or it's trigger stacks is irrelevant to self-defense. What matters is it's reliability. Every thing else is personal preference.
Anyway, I will stick with my (name withheld as it is not important) as I can hit what I aim at well and it has never jammed, not once.
God bless, just putting my 2 cents in on the clones no one is talking about. God bless 🙌
