    Great video. We went several years ago but it was mainly just to swim for a couple days. it was hot for sure. I need to get out there backpacking. Looks like some great hiking.

      Hi Evert!!! It really is a beautiful park and kind of a hidden gem!! We love the primitive feel of this park. One of our favorites! Thanks so much for watching!!

    Colorado Bend is a really cool park and y'all did a good job of showing it. Lots of scenery to be seen there. I wanted to take Kentucky Woodsman there to do the wild cave tour about a month ago but it didn't work out. I'd like to take our kayaks and do a trip up and back down the river too ! Great job.

    I spent the night backpacking in the windmill area at the North end of the park. I literally saw 50 deer that evening. I crawled out of my tent in the morning and there were two more within 30 feet of the tent. I have never seen anything like that before.

    I'll be going there soon to get some Astrophotography! I can't wait. I've actually never been there but you just confirmed that I will in fact be going...probably Friday.

    Why is it that you prefer windmill over river areas? Got a trip soon need to pick a spot! Thanks

    • @texashikeaholicsadventures
      @texashikeaholicsadventures  7 років тому

      We prefer the Windmill area over the river campsites mainly because there is more room and it feels more private. When we camped at the river campsites we were hoping to get a view of the river from our campsite but that was not the case. What we did see was all of the other backpack campers. The sites were fairly close too. We felt as if the other campers could probably hear our conversations. The windmill area just feels more primitive to us. Good luck on your trip. I'm sure you will enjoy the camping no matter which area you choose to camp in. Thanks for watching!!

    Fan of the video's! Hope you keep popping them out! My wife and I are planning to go there this October. Would you say it's easy to get there or should I take a GPS to find the park?

      Hi Danny!! You and your wife will love this park!! I would say the park is easy to find, but we have been there numerous times. As long as you use googlemaps, you should be just fine!! The trails within the park are pretty well marked too!! Have fun on your hike and thanks so much for watching!!

    What songs are you using in this video?

    • @texashikeaholicsadventures
      @texashikeaholicsadventures  6 років тому

      Hi Jesse!! The music in this video was purchased through Audio Jungle. As far as the actual titles go, I will try to figure it out. It might take some time as my library is pretty large. I know the first song is Summer Love by GastonLunaMusic. Thanks so much for watching!
