You're lucky you didn't have to deal with the police there. Gina and Julia On The Road just did a video there and the cops told them they'd be arrested if they hitch-hiked leaving town because of the prison there and that they couldn't even walk on the side of the road when they were leaving town, they could only walk in the ditch and they weren't very nice about it. Not a place I would visit.
